Conservatives have claimed First Amendment violations by the Biden administration and accused of improperly coordinating with tech firms to remove information posted by private users on social media.
TikTok has enabled content creators to quit their office jobs and pursue dream jobs with much higher incomes. Creators also feel the app affords a community space for the marginalized.
Congress has been looking into TikTok, which is owned by the Chinese Communist Party-controlled ByteDance. The social media platform is widely considered a Chinese spyware app.
