Former NPR editor Uri Berliner was also recently suspended (and subsequently resigned) after revealing NPR’s Washington, D.C., news team includes 87 registered Democrats and zero registered Republicans.
The bill states that “no Federal funds may, directly or indirectly,” be “made available to or used to support” NPR, “including through the payment of dues to or the purchase of programming from such organization by a public broadcast station using Federal funds received by such station.”
In a press release, the Anti-Woke Caucus Chairman said, “NPR’s new CEO is a radical, left-wing activist who doesn’t believe in free speech or objective journalism.”
“Hoosiers shouldn’t be writing her paychecks,” the congressman continued. “Katherine Maher isn’t qualified to teach an introductory journalism class, much less capable of responsibly spending millions of American tax dollars. NPR was a liberal looney bin under the last CEO John Lansing, and it’s about to get even nuttier. It’s time to pull the plug on this national embarrassment. Congress must stop spending other people’s hard-earned money on low grade propaganda.”
Banks’ office noted, “Katherine Maher, NPR’s recently appointed CEO, has described the First Amendment as ‘the number one challenge’ to combatting ‘misinformation,’ and has attacked former President Donald Trump on social media on several occasions.”

The Red Sox announced McCarty’s death on Friday evening in a post on X.

Born in Houston, TX, McCarty played in 630 Major League games with seven teams, including the final three seasons of his professional career with the Red Sox from 2003-05. Earlier this month, he was at Fenway Park as part of the 20-year anniversary of Boston’s 2004 World Series Championship season.
Selected by the Minnesota Twins in the first round (No. 3 overall) of the 1991 First-Year Player Draft out of Stanford University, McCarty played for the Twins (1993-95), San Francisco Giants (1995-96), Seattle Mariners (1998), Kansas City Royals (2000-02), Tampa Bay Rays (2002), Oakland A’s (2003), and Red Sox (2003-05). In 118 games with Boston, he hit .286 (52-for-182) with five home runs and a .794 OPS. McCarty appeared in 89 games for the Red Sox during their 2004 championship season, making 25 starts at first base and six in the outfield in addition to making three pitching appearances.
Following his playing career, McCarty served as a NESN analyst from July 2005 through the 2008 season.
McCarty is survived by his wife, Monica, and their two children.

According to a report from College Fix:
The event will be hosted by the private institution’s Student Activities Board and its Great Issues Committee, which works to “spark dialogue, engage in critical thinking, and have fun,” according to its Instagram bio.
Mulvaney is slated to “talk about her experiences as a trans actress, activist, and content creator,” according to the university’s website.
Transgender groups are celebrating Mulvaney’s appearance at the university.
“Obviously giving a voice to trans people at a Jesuit institution is a big deal,” said Micah Ballard, director of development and finance at St. Louis’ Metro Trans Umbrella Group, according to a report from STL Today. “It’s cool to see them bringing in a very different perspective students aren’t used to.”
Alexandra Leung, president of SLU’s College Republicans, told the paper that “Mulvaney’s message contradicts SLU’s Catholic teachings.”
“Mulvaney’s comments have been deemed disrespectful and derogatory towards women and to SLU’s central mission,” Leung said in a statement.
The report adds, “She said the College Republicans tried to get women’s sports activist Paula Scanlan to come speak the day after Mulvaney’s visit, to balance viewpoints, but was told by the school that security could not accommodate their request.”
In November, Forbes Magazine named Mulvaney on its “30 Under 30 Social Media” list — despite the TikTok star famously tanking the Bud Light brand earlier in the year.
After Bud Light provided Mulvaney with a commemorative can to celebrate one year of “girlhood” in March, conservatives immediately began a boycott — one of the most influential political boycotts of all time.
Anheuser-Bush has lost over $27 billion in market value after partnering with Mulvaney.

Max Azzarello, 37, from St. Augustine, succumbed to his injuries from self-immolation on Friday night — hours after being transported to the hospital.
The protester had poured an accelerant on himself and lit a fire in full view of national media outlets that were reporting from outside the trial.
Azzarello described himself as “an investigative researcher” in a Substack post titled, “I have set myself on fire outside the Trump Trial.”
On Instagram, Azzarello had posted a photo from Politicon in which he is wearing a Bernie Sanders shirt that reads “Eat the Rich” and posing with Newt Gingrich. In the caption, he joked that he had got to meet Sanders.
The deceased protester’s Instagram page was still active as of early Saturday morning.
He had also posted on Facebook about spending three days in a psych ward in August.
Azzarello’s online manifesto contained a complex conspiracy theory involving Peter Thiel, cryptocurrency, and “an apocalyptic fascist world coup.”
Before fatally lighting himself on fire, Azzarello had been seen outside the courthouse holding a sign that read, “Trump is with Biden and they’re about to facist coup us.”
The Daily Mail reports, “the activist had recently completed 180 days probation for a string of incidents in The Sunshine state, involving either disorderly conduct and destruction of property – and overall erratic, ‘rambling’ behavior.”
“DailyMail.com obtained criminal complaints for each, all taking place within a matter of days in August,” the report continued.
During the first incident, Azzarello allegedly threw wine at a framed and autographed photo of former President Bill Clinton at the Casa Monica Hotel in Saint Augustine on August 19. He then threw his glass at the photograph, breaking the frame and damaging the autograph with his drink.
On August 21, he was again arrested at the hotel, after they reported him for “standing outside, stripping his clothes off and yelling at customers.” The police report, obtained by the Mail, said he was “wearing nothing but his underwear, standing on the sidewalk[, and] holing [sic] a speaker blasting music and yelling.”
Three days later, on August 24, “he was arrested once more for graffitiing property and rifling through a woman’s belongings in the flatbed of her truck, after allegedly being seen yelling in someone’s yards after ‘misinterpreting’ an exterminator’s sign warning people to keep their children and pets off a lawn that had just been treated,” the Mail reports.
Azzarello was reportedly convinced that the pest company was trying to “exterminate children and dogs.”

Biochemist Hridindu Sankar Roychowdhury, 29, was caught by police using DNA from a half-eaten burrito that they left at the scene of the crime.
Roychowdhury had thrown two Molotov cocktails through a window he broke, set a bookcase on fire, and spraypainted “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either” on the front of the building.
The arsonist was facing up to 20 years in prison but has accepted a plea agreement to reduce his sentence.
Wisconsin Family Action president emeritus Julaine Appling spoke at the sentencing hearing, saying, “May 8, 2022, is forever emblazoned on my mind. It was a very visual reminder that people who disagree with us can and will use violence to try to silence us.”
Appling had asked the court to sentence the arsonist to 15 years in prison.
“We recommended the defendant receive 15 years imprisonment,” Appling continued. “We based that on justice—on the punishment fitting the crime, not on retribution or vengeance. This was a serious, premeditated crime that was the first of nearly 100 attacks on prolife organizations across the country. In light of this, we are disappointed in the judge’s decision regarding a crime the judge called ‘terrorism’ multiple times. The US Attorney’s office had also recommended 12-15 years imprisonment. A civil society does not exist if violence is the default reaction to disagreeing with people.”
President Christine File added, “We are disappointed. The court missed an opportunity to strengthen the protection of constitutional rights like free speech and free exercise, rights that have themselves been under assault in recent years. The defendant’s act of domestic terrorism to threaten our people, our families and friends, our neighbors, and our greater pro-life community is unconscionable. Ultimately, the defendant—and others who attacked pro-life groups they disagree with—attacked our civil society and the constitutional rights foundational to it.”
“It is notable that nearly 60 people filled the courtroom to support this person who committed a violent, unprovoked, and hate-filled crime. Will the society-of-tomorrow support terrorism intended to silence people with whom we disagree? But perhaps most concerning, in the two years since the attack the defendant did not at any point express remorse to the people he targeted and harmed—until the judge asked him. We would’ve expected the court to have weighed this callousness towards us more significantly. Given the severity of his crime and the charges he pled guilty to, the sentence lacks proportionality. However, as we’ve said since the day of the attack, no act or threat of violence or terrorism will deter us from our mission—being a voice for the voiceless.”
Investigators found the DNA of two other people at the crime scene, but they have not yet been identified.
Roychowdhury was apprehended at Boston International Airport in March of this year. He had a one-way ticket to leave for Guatemala when he was arrested.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) challenged the law in 2021 on behalf of track athlete Becky Pepper-Jackson, a “transgender” eighth-grade student.
The ACLU had argued that Pepper-Jackson was being discriminated against and should be allowed to play with girls because he had not gone through male puberty.
On Tuesday, Fourth Circuit Judge Toby Heytens, who was appointed by Joe Biden, ruled that the law violated transgender athletes’ constitutional rights and violated Title IX.
“The Act’s sole purpose — and its sole effect — is to prevent transgender girls from playing on girls teams,” Heytens wrote in the appellate ruling Tuesday, according to a report from The Hill.
“Offering B.P.J. a ‘choice’ between not participating in sports and participating only on boys teams is no real choice at all,” Heytens wrote. “The defendants cannot expect that B.P.J. will countermand her social transition, her medical treatment, and all the work she has done with her schools, teachers, and coaches for nearly half her life by introducing herself to teammates, coaches, and even opponents as a boy.”
Ironically, the judge complained that it would not be fair for Pepper-Jackson to play against boys because they are “larger, stronger, and faster” than him. The exact reason the bill was enacted to protect real girls in the first place.
“By participating on boys teams, B.P.J. would be sharing the field with boys who are larger, stronger, and faster than her because of the elevated levels of circulating testosterone she lacks,” he wrote. “The Act thus exposes B.P.J. to the very harms Title IX is meant to prevent by effectively ‘exclud[ing]’ her from ‘participation in’ all non-coed sports entirely.”
The Hill noted, “Heytens, who was appointed by President Biden, was joined in the decision by Judge Pamela Harris, an Obama appointee. Judge Steven Agee, who was appointed by former president George W. Bush, concurred in allowing Pepper-Jackson to compete but dissented in the court’s Title IX decision.”
The ACLU celebrated the decision.
“We hope today’s ruling sends a message of hope to the trans youth of West Virginia,” ACLU of West Virginia Director Aubrey Sparks said in a statement. “And a message of warning to politicians who continue to dehumanize this vulnerable population.”
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has promised that the fight to protect girls’ sports is not over.
“I am deeply disappointed in the court’s divided decision today,” Attorney General Morrisey said in a press release. “The Save Women’s Sports Act is ‘constitutionally permissible’ and the law complies with Title IX.”
“I will keep fighting to safeguard Title IX. We must keep working to protect women’s sports so that women’s safety is secured and girls have a truly fair playing field,” the Attorney General added. “We know the law is correct and will use every available tool to defend it.”
“We remain confident in the merits of our defense. We are resolute in protecting opportunities for women and girls in sports because when biological males win in a women’s event—as has happened time and again—female athletes lose their opportunity to shine.”

Adam “Sabrina” Hetke, 35, was convicted last week of first-degree sexual assault by threatening the use of a dangerous weapon and second-degree assault of a mentally ill victim for an attack on a 16-year-old developmentally disabled girl.
Hetke was already a registered sex offender and was released from prison in November 2020
The Waukesha County Freeman reports, “According to the complaint in the case, Hetke met a 16-year-old girl with cognitive disabilities at a Waukesha gas station on July 6, 2021, went to her nearby home, and allegedly sexually assaulted her while keeping a knife nearby and threatening to use it before she jumped out of a bedroom window.”
“Victim A said that the Defendant ‘told her that he was a vampire and that he would bite her if she didn’t do what he wanted,” the complaint said.
Hetke is to be sentenced for the sexual assault on June 7.
The self-described “vampire” is also facing homicide charges in Milwaukee for the April 2021 death of Vydale Thompson-Moody, 28, who also had a cognitive disability.
“Hetke told Milwaukee police the victim in that case was ‘possessed by a demon’ and began stabbing himself in the chest with tongs. Hetke said she was able to exorcise the demon, but the demon then caused the victim to wrap a cord around his neck and pull the ends,” the complaint says.
The New York Post reports, “One witness said he was scared of Hetke, who also went by the name ‘Morrigan’ and claimed she could inject demons into people’s bodies.”
Hetke told the witness that he could inject demons into people’s bodies.
“I killed him. God can’t bring him back, but I can because I’m the devil,” Hetke said, according to the complaint.

“Though it is too early for invitations to be extended to any candidates, it is not too early for candidates who expect to meet the eligibility criteria to publicly state their support for – and their intention to participate in – the Commission’s debates planned for this fall,” the letter continues.
Trump has already vowed to debate Biden “anytime, anywhere anyplace,” but Biden has refused to commit.
Biden told reporters in February, “If I were him, I’d want him to debate me, too. He’s got nothing else to do.”

The baby was born on April 3.
When Woodruff announced her pregnancy in December, she wrote that she would be having “the gayest baby in the Tri-State area.”

There have been months of speculation that he was angling for the Libertarian Party nomination.
Kennedy told a reporter with ABC News on Saturday night that he would run independently.

Kennedy’s campaign confirmed the news in a statement to The Hill on Sunday.
“Mr. Kennedy has many areas of alignment with the Libertarian Party, including a strong stance on civil liberties and keeping the country out of foreign wars,” a spokesperson for Kennedy’s campaign told the outlet.
The statement continued, “Mr. Kennedy, however, is not contemplating joining the Libertarian ticket. He is running as an Independent candidate and will be on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.”
Both Democrats and Republicans have expressed concern that Kennedy may act as a spoiler for either party.

The Pew Research Center released data from their American Trends Panel survey on Thursday, which found only 22 percent of adults have a positive opinion of the federal government.
Pew reports, “State governments get mixed ratings: 50% of adults have a favorable opinion and 49% have an unfavorable view. This reflects a 4-point decline in favorability since 2022 and a 9-point decline since 2019.”
Additionally, “61% of adults rate their local government positively. But this, too, is down from 66% in 2022 and 69% in 2019.”
Democrats are approximately three times as likely as Republicans to have a positive view of the federal government.
Only about 11 percent of Republicans or Republican-leaning Americans have a similarly favorable view.
Pew reports that views on state governments vary widely depending on whether the respondents’ political party is in power.
“For example, 70% of Republicans living in states with Republican leadership have a positive view of their state government. By comparison, just 43% of Republicans living in states with split control – and only 22% of Republicans living in states with Democratic leadership – have a positive view,” Pew found. “The pattern among Democrats is similar.”
Local governments, on the other hand, have a majority favorable view across party lines.
“Americans differ little by party in opinion of their local government, with similar shares of Republicans (63%) and Democrats (64%) holding favorable views,” the report states.

Payne, a relentless advocate for the COVID vaccine, said in a statement that complications from his diabetes prompted the incident.
“Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. suffered a cardiac episode based on complications from his diabetes during the weekend,” Payne’s office said in a statement on Monday.
Payne’s office said that he is expected to fully recover, though he remains hospitalized.
The statement continued, “He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment. Currently, he is recovering in the hospital as doctors conduct routine exams to monitor and observe his improvement. The Congressman’s prognosis is good and he is expected to make a full recovery.”
The statement also said that Payne will be out of Congress for the week while he recovers.
Fellow New Jersey Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill responded to the news by saying that Payne is a “fighter” in a statement posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Assange has been held at Belmarsh prison in London since April 2019 as the US government works to extradite him. Before his arrest, he had been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy with asylum since June 2012.
He is currently facing charges under the Espionage Act for publishing the Iraq and Afghan War Logs. If convicted, the publisher could face a maximum sentence of 175 years in prison for publishing the leaked materials.
Assange’s extradition has been on hold since March when London’s High Court said the US must assure the court that he will not face the death penalty.

Alexander Scott Mercurio, 18, of Coeur d’Alene, was arrested on Saturday, April 6, for attempting to provide material support and resources to the terror organization.
According to the affidavit in support of the criminal complaint, Mercurio pledged his allegiance to ISIS and “planned to attack individuals at churches in Coeur d’Alene on April 7 using weapons, including knives, firearms, and fire.”
Mercurio’s plan, according to the complant, was to attack his father with a metal pipe, steal his guns, and carry out a suicide attack at local churches.
“As alleged in the complaint, the defendant swore an oath of loyalty to ISIS and planned to wage an attack in its name on churches in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland.
Garland continued, “Thanks to the investigative efforts of the FBI, the defendant was taken into custody before he could act, and he is now charged with attempting to support ISIS’s mission of terror and violence. The Justice Department will continue to relentlessly pursue, disrupt, and hold accountable those who would commit acts of terrorism against the people and interests of the United States.”
FBI Director Christopher Wray added, “The defendant allegedly pledged loyalty to ISIS and sought to attack people attending churches in Idaho, a truly horrific plan which was detected and thwarted by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.”
“This investigation demonstrates the FBI’s steadfast commitment to work with our law enforcement partners to stop those who wish to commit acts of violence on behalf of – or inspired by – foreign terrorist groups,” Wray continued.
The FBI said that the case should open people’s eyes to the dangers of self-radicalization.
“This case should be an eye-opener to the dangers of self-radicalization, which is a real threat to our communities,” said Special Agent in Charge Shohini Sinha of the Salt Lake City FBI. “Protecting the American people from terrorism remains the FBI’s number one priority, and we continue to encourage the public to report anything suspicious to the FBI or your local law enforcement.”
Mercurio remains in custody pending his initial court appearance. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison if convicted.

For example, under Trump, a two-pound pack of ground beef, five pounds of potatoes, a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, and a pound of coffee was $17.32.
The same grocery order is now averaging $26.05 under Biden.
The New York Post reports, “Biden-Mart uses data from the United States Department of Agriculture data to compare the prices from January 2021 — when Trump left office — with January 2024.”
“The latest Consumer Price Index reading rose a higher-than-expected 3.2% in February, following a stiff 3.1% advance in January,” the report added.

Biden declared March 31 to be a holiday honoring transgender people — but this March 31, of course, is Easter.
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility,” the White House proclamation declared. “I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”
Biden, who says he is a “devout” Catholic, has also banned religious artwork from the White House Easter egg competition.
Naturally, the absurd gesture sparked massive outrage from Republicans, including former President Donald Trump.
The Trump campaign issued a statement saying, “It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art Event, and formally proclaimed Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility.’ Sadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on the Christian faith. We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
On Saturday evening, the White House responded to the outrage, claiming that it was “cruel” and “hateful.”
White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said in a statement, “As a Christian who celebrates Easter with Family, President Biden stands for bringing people together and upholding the dignity and freedoms of every American.”
“Sadly, it’s unsurprising politicians are seeking to divide and weaken our country with cruel, hateful, and dishonest rhetoric. President Biden will never abuse his faith for political purposes or for profit.”
The statement, of course, did not contain any semblance of an apology.

The grieving wife explained that it’s been over two years since NYPD Detective Jason Rivera and Detective Wilbert Mora were shot and killed when they responded to a domestic dispute call.
“Dominique Rivera stood in front of all the elected officials present today pleading for change,” she said through tears. “That change never came — and now my son will grow up without his father, I will grow old without my husband, and his parents have to say goodbye to their child.”
Officer Diller left behind a one-year-old son.
“How many more police officers and how many more families need to make the ultimate sacrifice before we start protecting them?” she asked.
Stephanie Diller said that her husband did good for other people, and now it is time for everyone to do good for the officers he represents.
Officer Diller and his partner had approached a vehicle illegally parked at a bus stop. They asked the two people inside, Lindy Jones, 41, and Guy Rivera, 34, to move the vehicle. The two men refused to cooperate, roll down their windows, or show their hands.
Instead, Rivera shot Diller.
Rivera has now been charged with murder of a police officer, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon. Diller’s partner had shot him after he opened fire, and he remained hospitalized on Thursday — so the date of his arraignment is unknown.
Jones has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a defaced firearm.

The Democrat also complained that “extremists” are working to keep pornographic books out of the hands of children — and to ban mutilating minors with “sex change” operations.
Biden wrote, “extremists are proposing hundreds of hateful laws that target and terrify transgender kids and their families — silencing teachers; banning books; and even threatening parents, doctors, and nurses with prison for helping parents get care for their children.”
“At the same time, my Administration is working to stop the bullying and harassment of transgender children and their families. The Department of Justice has taken action to push back against extreme and un-American State laws targeting transgender youth and their families and the Department of Justice is partnering with law enforcement and community groups to combat hate and violence.”

As part of the investigation, Paxton requested information about the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices.
In his request for documents, Paxton ordered Spirit to “produce all meeting minutes of Spirit’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Council(s). Meeting minutes is defined to include any document that memorializes the agenda or discussion of any meetings held by these groups.”
Spirit was also told to “Produce Documents sufficient to identify Spirit’s employee demographics for race, national origin, sexual orientation, and age before Your DEI Policy was enacted.”
Attorney General Paxton said in a statement, “The potential risks associated with certain airplane models are deeply concerning and potentially life-threatening to Texans.”
“I will hold any company responsible if they fail to maintain the standards required by the law and will do everything in my power to ensure manufacturers take passenger safety seriously,” Paxton continued.
Spirit spokesman Joe Buccino told The Hill, “While we do not comment on investigations, Spirit is wholly focused on providing the highest quality products to all our customers, to include the Boeing Company.”
The Hill report added:
Paxton’s investigation follows a series of costly and sometimes deadly accidents involving Boeing aircraft. In 2018 and 2019, 737s crashed in Indonesia and Ethiopia repeatedly, killing a total 346 people.
In January, a door on an Alaska Airlines 737 — part of the plane manufactured by Spirit — blew off the plane.
In February, Boeing halted deliveries of 50 planes after Spirit reported that holes had been drilled incorrectly during the installation of windows, The Associated Press reported.

The New York Police Department will launch the technology in some subway stations beginning in June.
The Hill reports:
The weapons detection technology will be implemented in late June following a 90-day waiting period, in which police will identify companies that carry this technology and evaluate the technology’s effectiveness. Adams did not disclose which subway stations will be picked for the program.
During Thursday’s press conference at the Fulton Street Subway Station, Adams unveiled a scanner from Massachusetts-based security technology company Evolv, which has faced allegations of doctoring its testing results, The Associated Press reported.
“Keeping New Yorkers safe on the subway and maintaining confidence in the system is key to ensuring that New York remains the safest big city in America,” Adams said during the press conference.
Adams continued, “Today’s announcement is the next step in our ongoing efforts to keep dangerous weapons out of our transit system and to provide greater mental health services for New Yorkers in crisis.”
The report added, “As of Sunday, the NYPD seized a total of 450 weapons, including 19 illegal guns, in the New York City transit system this year, the mayor’s office said. This is up from the 261 weapons, including nine guns, that were seized during the same period last year.”

Biden shouldn’t need to work too hard for those votes since many people who voted for her were Democrats anyway.
Data obtained by AP VoteCast found that 40 percent of those who voted for Nikki Haley in the South Carolina primary were Democrats who voted for Joe Biden in 2020.
The Associated Press found, “About 9 in 10 Trump voters said they were driven by their support for him, not by objections to his opponent. Haley’s voters were much more divided: About half were motivated by supporting her, but nearly as many turned out to oppose Trump.”
The report added, “Who is her coalition? Haley dominated among South Carolina voters who correctly said that Democrat Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election. Roughly three-quarters of her supporters say Biden was legitimately elected president in 2020, and about 4 in 10 voted for Biden in that election. Her problem is that about 6 in 10 Republican primary voters say they believed Biden was not legitimately elected.”

A poll conducted ahead of the Iowa caucuses by NBC News, the Des Moines Register, and Iowa pollster Selzer & Co. had similar results and found that Haley supporters in Iowa were twice as likely to vote for Joe Biden as Donald Trump.
The pollsters asked likely Iowa caucus-goers, “If Donald Trump is the Republican nominee in the general election in November, would you vote for him, vote for Joe Biden, vote for independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., or vote for some other third-party candidate?”
Across the board, just 11 percent of Republican caucus-goes said they would flip and vote for Biden if Trump became the nominee. Looking only at Haley supporters, that number jumped to a whopping 43 percent.
Just 23 percent of Haley’s supporters in Iowa said they would vote for Trump over Biden.
In 2019, Haley was elected to Boeing’s board of directors months after leaving her post in the Trump administration. At the time, she had a net worth less than $1 million.
“Post her tenure, reports surfaced that Haley boosted her fortune eight-fold — to $8 million — after leaving the Trump administration,” the New York Post reported at the time.
Soon after, the former UN ambassador purchased a $2.4 million waterfront estate on Kiawah Island.

The bill, House Bill 668, prohibits coverage of hormone therapy, puberty blockers, and surgical procedures for the purpose “to affirm the individual’s perception” of their sex or gender.
It also prevents government-owned facilities from offering the treatments or procedures.
The legislation had passed the Idaho House of Representatives with a 58-11 vote and the Senate with a 26-8 vote. Little signed it into the law the day after he received it.
“Hardworking taxpayers should not be forced to pay for an adult’s sex reassignment surgery,” Little wrote in a letter to Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare in May.
The law does contain certain exceptions, including when treatment is necessary to treat infections, injuries, or disorders “caused or exacerbated by … gender transition procedures.”
There is also an exception for when a procedure is “performed in accordance with the good faith medical decision of a parent or guardian of a child or an adult born with a medically verifiable genetic disorder of sex development.”
According to a report from The Hill, “Those who intentionally violate the law could face misuse of public funds charges, which carry a penalty of up to $10,000 in fines and imprisonment between one and 14 years.”
The law will take effect on July 1.

According to a press release from CBP, “officers at Juarez-Lincoln Bridge referred a bus passenger, a male Mexican citizen, for secondary inspection due to a system-generated alert.”
“During secondary examination, CBP officers found the subject in possession of child pornographic material, discovered within his personal belongings,” the press release continued.
The man was arrested and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating the case.
CBP did not release the suspect’s name.
“Sex-related offenses against children can cause long-lasting adverse effects on the victim’s mental health,” said Port Director Albert Flores, Laredo Port of Entry.
“CBP collaborated with pertinent agencies to address the heinous nature of the crime, to ultimately bring the perpetrator to justice.”

Despite a Republican supermajority, the legislature failed to override Kelly’s veto on that bill and one that would have protected girls’ sports by barring biological males from competing against them.

The state Senate on Wednesday passed this year’s bill, Senate Bill 233, with a veto-proof majority, while the House, which advanced the measure in an 82-39 party-line vote, fell slightly short. Two House Republicans that were absent for Wednesday’s vote — state Reps. Michael Houser and Samantha Poetter Parshall — have previously voted in favor of the legislation and would give the House the two-thirds majority needed to override a veto.
If Republicans succeed in overriding a likely veto from Kelly, Kansas will be the 25th state to ban gender-affirming care for minors, and the third to do so this year. Laws restricting access to care in at least four states are not currently being enforced because they are tied up in the courts.
“Today, the Senate took a firm stand in support of helping and not harming children by making it clear that radical transgender ideology and the mutilation of minors is not legal nor welcome in Kansas,” state Senate President Ty Masterson said in a statement after the vote.
It remains unclear if the Republicans can rally enough votes to override another veto.

Paula Gilligan, a Glen Rock councilwoman, had posted the rainbow meme to her Instagram to mock Christian pro-life beliefs.
By Sunday, Gilligan had issued a statement about the meme on the municipal website — but did not apologize.
“It has come to my attention that there are constituents in Glen Rock that have concerns with a meme on my personal Instagram story,” Gilligan wrote. “The meme takes aim at the absurdity of ‘personhood’ laws.”
Gilligan continued, “Currently 40 bills with personhood language have been proposed in 16 states. Personhood language refers to legal language that would codify the dangerous notion that from the moment of fertilization, an egg should be legally recognized as a person with full constitutional rights.”
“This legislation supports an extremist political position that I disagree with. It is my personal opinion that people have the right to control their bodies and their lives,” the politician continued.
The statement concluded with a non-apology: “My personal Instagram does not constitute the official views, opinions or beliefs of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Glen Rock. To those who feel it mocks your holiday traditions, that was not my intention. Wishing all who celebrate a peaceful, joyous holiday.”
The entire Borough Council issued a statement with an actual apology.
“We have been made aware of a post that appeared on one of our Council Member’s personal Instagram stories. This post invoked Easter, the holiest day of the year in the Christian calendar, in a point about two issues that have nothing to do with Easter. As Mayor and members of the Borough Council, we want to apologize to everyone who was offended by this post.”
The statement continued, “We all feel very strongly that everyone’s religious beliefs and traditions must be treated with respect. They should not be the subject of jokes or inflammatory social media posts. That is even more true when the social media post is made by an elected official, because we are here to represent and support all Glen Rockers of all religious beliefs and backgrounds. We understand how important Easter and the symbols of Easter are to the many Glen Rockers who celebrate.”
“As we have stated on many occasions before, we believe strongly that Glen Rock should be an inclusive community that celebrates and honors everyone’s religious beliefs and traditions. This includes Christianity as well as all of the other religions represented in town. We call on all Glen Rockers to support and respect each other, and as your elected officials, we continue to strive to be examples of that support and respect.”

“The world that we’re living in is just … you know there’s no common sense any more. … I just don’t agree with men in women’s sports, you know? Even the whole Fallon Fox thing … guys that are fighting in women’s MMA and knocking them out. It’s a bad look.”
The reporter asked Erosa if there are any cases where he thinks a male competing against a female athlete makes sense.
“Absolutely not,” Erosa fired back immediately. “There’s nothing you can do, there’s nothing you can give yourself to shrink your bones down. There’s nothing you can do in that kind of sense, I mean, and the proof’s in the pudding.”

Erosa said that he believes women’s sports will eventually cease to exist if biological men continue being allowed to compete.

On Monday, the United States sanctioned Wuhan Xiaoruizhi Science and Technology Company, Limited, a Ministry of State Security front company based in Wuhan, China, that has served as cover for multiple malicious cyber operations.
The Department of Justice also unsealed indictments of Zhao Guangzong and Ni Gaobin, two Chinese nationals affiliated with Wuhan XRZ, and five others, for their roles in “malicious cyber operations targeting U.S. entities that operate within U.S. critical infrastructure sectors, directly endangering U.S. national security,” the Treasury Department said in a press release.
The Justice Department alleged that the defendants, “conducted global campaigns of computer hacking targeting political dissidents and perceived supporters located inside and outside of China, government and political officials, candidates and campaign personnel in the United States and elsewhere and American companies.”
To do this, The DOJ says the defendants sent more than 10,000 malicious emails to targets that often “appeared to be from prominent news outlets or journalists and appeared to contain legitimate news articles.”
“The malicious emails contained hidden tracking links, such that if the recipient simply opened the email, information about the recipient, including the recipient’s location, internet protocol (IP) addresses, network schematics and specific devices used to access the pertinent email accounts, was transmitted to a server controlled by the defendants and those working with them. The defendants and others in the APT31 Group then used this information to enable more direct and sophisticated targeted hacking, such as compromising the recipients’ home routers and other electronic devices.”
“The targeted U.S. government officials included individuals working in the White House, at the Departments of Justice, Commerce, Treasury and State, and U.S. Senators and Representatives of both political parties. The defendants and others in the APT31 Group targeted these individuals at both professional and personal email addresses. Additionally in some cases, the defendants also targeted victims’ spouses, including the spouses of a high-ranking Department of Justice official, high-ranking White House officials and multiple United States Senators. Targets also included election campaign staff from both major U.S. political parties in advance of the 2020 election.”
Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a statement, “The Justice Department will not tolerate efforts by the Chinese government to intimidate Americans who serve the public, silence the dissidents who are protected by American laws, or steal from American businesses.”
“This case serves as a reminder of the ends to which the Chinese government is willing to go to target and intimidate its critics, including launching malicious cyber operations aimed at threatening the national security of the United States and our allies,” Garland continued.
“The United States is focused on both disrupting the dangerous and irresponsible actions of malicious cyber actors, as well as protecting our citizens and our critical infrastructure,” said Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian E. Nelson.

The adults, Edgar Ramirez and Nora Zarate, are reportedly from Dallas, Texas.
In a post on Facebook, the Boonville Police Department wrote that their officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft in progress on Thursday.
“Officers were told that the suspects had stolen baby formula and left the parking lot. The suspect vehicle was stopped near SR261/Eskew Rd. During the roadside investigation, Officers observed a large amount of baby formula inside the vehicle,” the post continued.
The vehicle was impounded, and the officers applied for a search warrant. During the service of the warrant, the officers located the 576 containers of stolen baby formula.
The department said, “This stop uncovered a larger theft ring that included thefts from Walmart Boonville, Newburgh, Evansville Eastside, and Jasper.”
Boonville Police Sergeant Seth Kyle told News 14, ”This is my first time ever working any type of baby formula theft.”
“Usually people are going for your high end electronics or sometimes there’s people that are kleptos that wanna steal,” Kyle added.
The report added, “If there are any other agencies or Walmarts that notice any baby formula thefts, they’re asked to reach out to Boonville Police and call (812) 897-6542.”

“Yes, they are in charge of doing all that. In fact, they process Medicaid,” the migrant says.
The migrant continued to explain that he was provided with free lawyers and that beginning the process of applying for asylum was also free.
The migrant and his family have luggage with them, so Shirley asks where they are heading.
“Well now we’re heading towards … in fact, we asked for the tickets, and they also give it free, and now we are going to Arizona. To Phoenix, Arizona,” the man states.
“And they gave you that for free?” Shirley asks.
“Yes, it’s free. Free. The flight is completely free. We are leaving because here in New York, as we know, it has collapsed,” the man says.
“There inside the hotel, did they coordinate all this?” Shirley asks.
“Yes, they coordinated all this,” the migrant says.

McDaniel voiced her opposition during a Sunday interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” — the network where she is now a paid contributor.
“I want to be very clear. The violence that happened on January 6 is unacceptable. It doesn’t represent our country. It certainly does not represent my party,” McDaniel told interviewer and co-worker Kristen Welker.
“If you attacked our Capitol and you have been abused and you’ve been convicted, then that should stay,” McDaniel continued.
McDaniel said she only spoke out now because she didn’t want to disagree with Trump while leading the RNC.
“When you’re the RNC chair, you kind of take one for the whole team,” McDaniel said. “Right now, I get to be a little bit more myself. This is what I believe.”
“I don’t think violence should be in our political discourse, Republican or Democrat. And I disagree with him on that,” she continued. “I agree with him on a whole host of other things. Let’s close the border. Let’s make sure we have good incomes for people. Let’s make sure we do a lot of great things. But on that point, I don’t think we should be freeing people who violently attacked Capitol Hill police officers and attacked the Capitol.”
Over 1,350 people have been arrested for being at the Capitol that day.
Following McDaniel’s interview, Chuck Todd had some harsh words for his bosses about hiring McDaniel.
“She is now a paid contributor by NBC news,” Todd said. “I have no idea whether any answer she gave to you was because she didn’t want to mess up her contract. She wants us to believe that she was speaking for the RNC when the RNC was paying for it. So she has credibility issues that she still has to deal with. Is she speaking for herself or is she speaking on behalf of who’s paying her? Once at the RNC, she did say that. Hey, I’m speaking for the party. I get that that’s part of the job. So, what about here?”

Shortly after the package was signed, the Biden White House said they are working on a way to overturn the ban.
“Biden believes it was inappropriate to abuse the process that was essential to keep the government open by including this policy targeting LGBTQI+ Americans,” the White House said in a statement.
The statement added that the president “is committed to fighting for LGBTQI+ equality at home and abroad.”
According to a report from CBS News, “The law signed by Mr. Biden says that no U.S. funding can be used to ‘fly or display a flag over a facility of the United States Department of State’ other than U.S. or other government-related flags, or flags supporting prisoners of war, missing-in-action soldiers, hostages and wrongfully imprisoned Americans.”
In the meantime, the Biden admin is suggesting loopholes for embassies to continue displaying the rainbow flags.
The report explained that Biden’s admin argued that while the banned flags cannot be flown “over” U.S. embassies, “it does not speak to displaying them elsewhere on embassy grounds or inside offices.”
“It will have no impact on the ability of members of the LGBTQI+ community to serve openly in our embassies or to celebrate Pride,” the White House statement said.

The Jackson County couple, Zackary Davis and Jacquilyn Keith, claim the offer was just a joke.
Law enforcement had been contacted by Davis’ sister-in-law, who claimed the couple offered to sell her the twins. She provided recordings and screenshots of conversations that allegedly back up her claims.
Both parents confessed to agreeing to sell her the children, but claim they never intended to follow through with it.
“She said, ‘I give you five grand.’ I said, ‘ha, ha, yeah, you can have my kids for five grand,” Davis said, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

According to the sheriff’s department police report, the mother told officers that her husband’s relatives manipulated him into giving them permission to keep the babies.
Davis claimed the kids are his world, and the reason he worked on cleaning up his life.
‘I am trying to get the word out there that this is all corrupt, and I had my kids stolen from me. They have took my kids from me,’ he said.
“Fortunately, this is the first time I’ve ever had to charge this, and hopefully I never have to charge it again,” Chief Deputy Zachary Bryant told local station WYMT.
“Jackson County’s very small, the population’s around 13,000,” Bryant said. “Pretty much everybody knows everybody, so it is a sad situation.”
Davis and Keith are both being held at the Jackson County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
All five of the couple’s children have been placed in another home.

Bryan “Amber FayeFox” Kim, 35, was convicted of two counts of aggravated first-degree murder in 2008 for stabbing his father and brutally bludgeoning and strangling his mother.
In February 2021, Kim was moved to the Washington Corrections Center for Women thanks to the Washington Department of Correction’s “gender-inclusion” policy.
On March 14, prison guards caught Kim having sex with his 25-year-old cellmate Sincer-A Marie Nerton.
An incident report obtained by the National Review stated that the guard saw Kim “laying on the floor completely nude from the waist down with their cellmate Nerton Sincer-A on top of them also nude from the waist down actively having sex.”
“I/I [Incarcerated Individual] Kim’s hands were on I/I Nerton’s buttox in a spread open position while I/I Kim’s erect penis was penetrating I/I Nerton’s Vagina,” the incident report continued. “This is against MSU rules and policy. WAC-504-Engaging in a sex act with another person within the facility that is not otherwise included in these rules, except in an approved extended family visit.”
“Technically, there is no consensual sex between the incarcerated,” a Washington Department of Corrections (DOC) employee told the National Review. “If both offenders call it consensual, then they seem to be getting into less trouble.”

Kim was found guilty in 2008 of two counts of aggravated first-degree murder in the stabbing of his father, Richard Kim, and the bludgeoning and strangulation of his mother, Terri Kim, the Spokesman-Review reported. Kim killed his parents at their Mount Spokane home on December 5, 2006, as they returned from work. After attempting to clean up the murder scene and hide his parents’ bodies in an outbuilding, Kim went shopping the next day, using his father’s debit card to withdraw $1,000 from his parents’ account.
For his crimes, Kim was sentenced to life in prison. The defense argued that Kim had struggled with mental problems since he was young and tried to cast doubt on the testimony of psychiatrists who argued the crimes were premeditated.
In November, the Huffington Post featured Kim’s story in a sympathetic piece titled, “Inside The Brutal Struggle For Trans Care In Prison,” which suggested his crimes and incarceration were tied to his mistreatment at home as a child. Kim told the outlet that his parents often physically punished and threatened him for being effeminate and cross-dressing as an adolescent.

The ad features footage of illegal aliens rushing through the border as Biden says, “Nobody…Nobody is going to be deported.”
“There will not be another foot of wall constructed in my administration,” the ad shows Biden saying over the chaos at the border.
Hours before the new ad dropped, the Biden campaign released an ad of their own, aimed at Hispanic and Latino voters — both of whom have lost enthusiasm for the Democrat.
“This election is an election between me and a guy named Trump,” Biden says in his ad. “This is a guy who calls Latinos criminals, drug dealers, and rapists. Now he says immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country,” Biden said in his 30 second ad.

The ad will air in both English and Spanish. It will target voters in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Florida.

The research is being conducted by scientists at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).
The process of what they are calling “in vitro gametogenesis (IVG)” involves creating a fake egg using skin cells and fertilizing it with sperm.
“Researchers at OHSU documented the technique, known as in vitro gametogenesis, or IVG, in a mouse model through preliminary steps that rely upon transferring the nucleus of a skin cell into a donated egg in which the nucleus has been removed,” OHSU News reports. “Using mice, the investigators coaxed the skin cell’s nucleus into reducing its chromosomes by half, so that it could then be fertilized by a sperm cell to create a viable embryo.”
The researchers claim, “The technique could be used by women of advanced maternal age or those who are unable to produce viable eggs due to previous treatment for cancer or other causes. It also raises the possibility of men in same-sex relationships having children who are genetically related to both parents.”
The technique used is similar to what was done in 1996 to clone Dolly the sheep.
“This gives us a lot of insight,” said Paula Amato, professor of obstetrics and gynecology at OHSU School of Medicine. “But there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to understand how these chromosomes pair and how they faithfully divide to actually reproduce what happens in nature.”

“Prior to an incident on March 8th where she was seen defending herself from harassment and bullying, she had never been in trouble,” the petition claims. “Her work as a scholar was tainted by the bullying she had to endure at school.”
The fundraiser had accumulated $3,000 before being removed by the fundraising platform for violating its terms of service.

According to a newly released survey from YouGov, 61 percent of Americans believe it is either “very likely” or “somewhat likely” that World War III will kick off within the next decade.
When looking at the results by political party, the pollsters found one-third of Republicans think it’s very likely that there will be another world war in the next decade; while 20 percent of Independents and 16 percent of Democrats agree.
“If another world war were to break out, 77% of Americans believe the U.S. would be involved. Just 6% say the U.S. would not be involved, and the remaining 18% are unsure,” YouGov reports.
The report added, “72% believe that if another world war were to break out, Russia would be involved and would be on a different side than the U.S. A similar percentage (69%) say the same of China.”
“The countries that Americans are most likely to say would be involved in a hypothetical global conflict and on the same side as the U.S. are the United Kingdom (67%), Ukraine (58%), and Israel (58%).”
Shockingly, just six percent of Americans say they would enlist if a war did break out.
“If a world war involving the U.S. were to break out, 6% of Americans say they would volunteer for military service, 9% say they would not volunteer but would serve if called up, and 13% say they would not volunteer and would refuse to serve if called up; 60% say they don’t believe the armed forces would want them to serve due to age or disability,” the pollsters found.
“However, if the U.S. were under imminent threat of invasion, the percentage of people who would volunteer for military service is higher: 16%. 47% say that even in this case, they don’t believe the armed forces would want them to serve due to age or disability.”

If you still wish to see political content, you must go into your settings and manually change it by clicking on “content preferences” and then “political content” and selecting “don’t limit.”
On February 9, Meta announced that Instagram and Threads would soon begin limiting political content. The announcement did not say it would change all users’ settings to a limited politics default.
In a statement to Fox News, Instagram said that the change will only impact accounts that you do not follow — and that you can still see political content from accounts that you do.
“This announcement expands on years of work on how we approach and treat political content based on what people have told us they wanted,” the spokesperson said. “It does not impact posts from accounts people choose to follow; it impacts what the system recommends. And now, people are going to be able to control whether they would like to have these types of posts recommended to them.”
According to the Fox report, “some Instagram users said that when they tried to change their settings, the app crashed.”
“The entire app crashes when I go to political settings. That’s wild,” a user wrote in a post on Friday.
“Interesting I went to my settings and privacy and content & went to limit, and it takes me back out of Instagram. It won’t let me change it!!” another comment flagged by Fox News said.

Murrieta Police Department Lt. Jeremy Durrant confirmed Lego had contacted them.
“The Lego Group reached out to us and respectfully asked us to refrain from using their intellectual property in our social media content which of course we understand and will comply with,” Durrant told Fox News. “We are currently exploring other methods to continue publishing our content in a way that is engaging and interesting to our followers.”
Last Tuesday, the Murrieta Police Department announced on Instagram that they would be using Lego heads to comply with a state privacy law.
“On January 1st, a new law went into effect that restricts the how and when law enforcement agencies in California share suspect photos & mugshots,” the post stated.
“The new law, Assembly Bill 994 & Penal Code 13665, now prohibits law enforcement from sharing suspect photos for nonviolent crimes, unless specified circumstances exist. Additionally, the new law requires agencies to remove suspect mugshots from social media after 14 days, unless special circumstances exist.”
The post continued, “The Murrieta Police Department prides itself in its transparency with the community, but also honors everyone’s rights & protections as afforded by law; even suspects. Shail Patel, 29, had just boarded his flight from Tampa to Philadelphia when he threatened to “take this plane down with all you motherf-ckers on it.”
Patel was drunk and “antagonizing passengers, calling flight attendants names, threatening passengers and aggressively moving through the aircraft,” according to his court documents, which were obtained by local station WFLA.
Patel also slapped a passenger on the hand and spit on them.
“A flight attendant used the plane’s PA system to ask if there were off-duty officers on board who could help. Police said six off-duty law enforcement officers were able to restrain Patel and take him off the aircraft,” WFLA reports.

Patel has been charged with two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication.
The flight was delayed by 30 minutes due to Patel’s behavior.
The airline issued a statement apologizing to customers for the inconvenience.
“Prior to departure of American Airlines flight 2506 with service from Tampa (TPA) to Philadelphia (PHL), law enforcement was requested to the aircraft due to a disturbance in the cabin involving a disruptive customer,” American Airlines said in a statement to Fox News. “We thank our team for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”

The bill explains that composting human remains “uses large vessels to hold human remains together with straw, wood chips, or other natural materials for about 30 days.”
Supporters of human composting argue that it is an “environmentally sustainable and cost-effective alternative” to traditional burial and cremation.
According to a report from the Washington Times, “Those who died from a radiological accident or incident, those with radioactive implants and those who died infected with prion disease, Ebola, tuberculosis or any other disease that could survive the composting process will not be legally compostable.”
The Delaware House approved the bill 37-2 in January, and the state Senate passed it 14-7 on Thursday.
The bill will now move to Democrat Governor John Carney’s desk for approval.
Human composting is legal in Washington, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont, California, New York, and Nevada.
It was legalized in New York in 2023.
At the time, the New York State Catholic Conference vehemently opposed the bill.
“Composting is something we as a society associate with a sustainable method of eliminating organic trash that otherwise ends up in landfills. But human bodies are not household waste, and the bishops do not believe that the process meets the standard of reverent treatment of our earthly remains,” Dennis Poust, executive director of the New York State Catholic Conference, told the Catholic Courier.
“Like most bills in Albany, there were no public hearings allowing New Yorkers to weigh in on the pros and cons of the bill. It was all done behind closed doors,” Poust added. “The average New Yorker has no idea this bill was introduced, let alone passed. While it has been covered here and there in the press, it has received very little attention, which is troubling, because we certainly think that new methods of disposition of human remains ought to be talked about in society, and the public should have a chance to consider if this is a direction we want to go.”
Recompose is a Seattle funeral home that composts humans. It charges $7,000 and boasts that it can turn the deceased into soil in “as little as 30 days.”
The funeral home’s website explains that they offer a “laying in” ceremony when the body is placed in a vessel to compost.
“When you arrive at Recompose Seattle, you will be greeted by a member of our Services team who will guide you to the Gathering Space. Your person’s body will be in view when you walk into the Gathering Space, laying on a dark green bed we call a cradle, draped in a natural cloth,” the website explains.” The cradle will be stationed in front of our white, hexagonal threshold vessel, which is a passageway to our vessel system. A Recompose Services Specialist will guide you through the ceremony from start to finish.”
The company claims that “for every person who chooses Recompose over conventional burial or cremation, one metric ton of carbon dioxide is prevented from entering the atmosphere. In addition, our approach to human composting requires 1/8 the energy of conventional burial or cremation. Recompose allows you to choose an end-of-life option that strengthens the environment rather than depleting it.”

Under Senate File 99, any healthcare professional who provides a minor with puberty blockers, hormone therapy, or sex change surgeries will be subject to having their licenses suspended or revoked.
While he signed the bill, the governor did not seem enthusiastic about doing so.
“I signed SF99 because I support the protections this bill includes for children, however it is my belief that the government is straying into the personal affairs of families,” Governor Gordon said in a statement about the legislation.
Gordon continued, “Our legislature needs to sort out its intentions with regard to parental rights. While it inserts governmental prerogative in some places, it affirms parental rights in others.”
Of course, the American Civil Liberties Union of Wyoming opposes the ban.
“By signing this bill into law, Gov. Gordon has put the government in charge of making vital decisions traditionally reserved for parents in Wyoming,” ACLU of Wyoming Executive Director Libby Skarin said in the announcement. “This ban won’t stop Wyomingites from being trans, but it will deny them critical support that helps struggling transgender youth grow up to become thriving transgender adults.”
The law will go into effect on July 1.

Joshua “Ash” Cooper, 18, pled guilty on Thursday to third-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence for the November 2022 murder of Morgan Connors, 12.
Just after 4 p.m. on November 25, 2022, the Bensalem Township Police Department received a 911 call about a possible murder from the Top of the Ridge Trailer Park.
The call was from a juvenile witness who was on an Instagram video chat with Cooper, who claimed that he had just killed someone.
During the call, Cooper flipped the phone around and showed the witness Connors’ bloody legs and feet.
The transgender killer then asked the juvenile witness to help clean up and dispose of the child’s body.
According to a press release from the Bucks County District Atorney’s office, “Police went to the Gibson Road property and as they arrived, they spotted a juvenile running out of the back of the trailer. Officers entered the residence and observed a deceased juvenile female, later identified as Connors, on the floor of the bathroom with an apparent gunshot wound. There were also indications that substantial steps were taken to clean up the crime scene.”
Police set up a perimeter around the trailer park and eventually found and arrested Cooper.
The district attorney’s office said, “The investigation revealed that Cooper used a firearm from his father’s gun safe in the home to shoot the victim. Cooper was able to get into the safe by replacing the batteries his father had removed to make the combination lock inoperable.”
In addition to the 15 to 40 years in state prison, Cooper was also sentenced to seven years of probation.
During sentencing, Chief Deputy District Attorney Kristin M. McElroy read an impact statement from the victim’s grandfather, who discussed the “intense pain and heartbreak” of losing his granddaughter.
“The human heart is not built for such heartbreak,” the letter said.

Taylor Nicole Pyatte, 42, was arrested by the Fort Myers Police Department just before 6 a.m. on Thursday.
“According to the Fort Myers Police Department, at around 5:32 a.m. on Thursday, an officer put out a small fire near 2431 Cleveland Avenue and another small one at Grace Church at 2415 Grand Avenue,” local station WINK reports.
Pyatte was found by the fire, naked.
While in the patrol vehicle, Pyatte started another fire in the car’s door panel.
“She had been searched prior; however, police believe she may have hidden the lighter somewhere that officers would not find it,” the report added.
Pyatte has been charged with arson and damage to property or criminal mischief.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 22.

Hill is believed to have used the money for cosmetic and dental surgeries, hotels, and more.
According to an affidavit from an agent for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, obtained by USA Today, Hill is alleged to have started financially exploiting the woman on March 15, 2021.
USA Today reports:
The special agent’s investigation suggests Hill had no prior relationship with the elderly woman before meeting her in March 2021 and obtaining power of attorney over her a little over a month later, according to the court records obtained by USA TODAY on Wednesday.
In an email to USA TODAY on Wednesday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement confirmed that an active investigation is ongoing against Hill, but the agency could not provide additional information. It remains unclear if Hill is facing any criminal charges.
The investigation began when Hill’s former aide reported that her name was listed on documents used by the commissioner to purchase a new home. The 96-year-old woman’s name was also listed as a co-buyer.
“After speaking to the 96-year-old woman, the agent learned that she never permitted Hill to use her personal information to buy the home, court documents show,” the report explains. “As of March 7, the day the affidavit was filed, the home was abandoned and without electricity or running water, the documents continued.”
The court documents say Hill used the woman’s money to purchase a facelift, expensive perfumes, clothing, “numerous intravenous infusions of vitamins,” car insurance payments, dental surgery, and a hotel room in Miami on New Year’s Eve.
The victim told law enforcement that she never agreed to allow Hill to have power of attorney or use money from her bank accounts. She said that she remembers signing some type of document, but that she was confused about what it was.

Kevin Noe Campos Villa, 20, was arrested in January for smuggling seven migrants into the U.S.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California, “when confronted by Border Patrol agents, Campos and three of the immigrants he was guiding ran to avoid apprehension. While attempting to escape, they fell into the Tijuana River and had to be rescued by San Diego lifeguards.”
“Sewer tubes between the United States and Mexico have grates to prevent individuals from illegally entering the United States,” the press release explained. “During heavy rain, the grates are opened to let water flow through the sewer tubes without damaging the grates. Due to heavy rain that was occurring in the area at the time, the grates were open and Campos used the opportunity to smuggle the unauthorized immigrants into the United States.”
Campos admitted to helping the group cross the border in exchange for $6,000.
“This case is yet another example of transnational smuggling organizations placing profits over safety,” said U.S. Attorney Tara McGrath. “Thankfully, due to law enforcement intervention and the assistance of local lifeguards, all lives were spared.”
Campos now faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. by U.S. District Judge Linda Lopez.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office told the New York Post that Tellez had multiple outstanding warrants and was arrested for taking evidence from the scene of an accident.

Clinton did not hesitate to say that the media should “leave him alone.”
“I think he’s a private citizen,” she said. “I feel so strongly that if you are a private citizen, you have an unimpeachable right to privacy, and I think the media should leave him alone.”
When asked if the same rule applied to Trump’s older children, Clinton said that they had worked on their father’s campaign as surrogates so it’s a “totally different conversation.”

Protesters also reserved tickets to the event and walked out a minute into Rittenhouse’s speech.
According to Kirk, the university forced TPUSA to change its ticketing system on the event day, claiming it wanted to ensure “fair and equitable” ticketing.
“This means the hundreds of students who thought they had tickets will not get in. This has never happened at one of our events,” Kirk wrote.
Additionally, Kirk said, “Protester groups were somehow tipped off about the school’s new ticketing system and the timing of when they’d be made available, allowing them to reserve large numbers of tickets to stage a walk out. We know this because our students are also in those group chats and alerted us. This also has never happened before.”

The annual World Happiness Report was released on Wednesday and the U.S. was listed in 23rd place, down from 15th place the previous year.
Finland is the happiest country in the world, followed by Denmark in second, Iceland in third, Sweden in fourth, and Israel in fifth.
Afghanistan is the least happy country, at 143rd place.
When looking only at residents under 30, the U.S. dropped all the way down to 62nd place. However, when looking only at respondents over 60, the United States jumped up to 10th place.
“There is widespread concern, especially in the United States, about an emerging epidemic of loneliness, and about the consequences of loneliness for mental and physical health,” the study found.
The study also found loneliness is almost twice as high among the Millennials than among those born before 1965.
“In comparing generations, those born before 1965 are, on average, happier than those born since 1980,” the report explains. “Among Millennials, evaluation of one’s own life drops with each year of age, while among Boomers life satisfaction increases with age.”

Julian Assange’s U.S. defense attorney, Barry Pollack, responded to the report by saying that as far as his office has seen, there is no indication that the government is easing up on its determination to seek his extradition.
Pollack said in a statement provided to the Gateway Pundit, “It is inappropriate for Mr. Assange’s lawyers to comment while his case is before the UK High Court other than to say we have been given no indication that the Department of Justice intends to resolve the case and the United States is continuing with as much determination as ever to seek his extradition on all 18 charges, exposing him to 175 years in prison.”
Pollack’s statement directly contradicts the WSJ’s claim that “Justice Department officials and Assange’s lawyers have had preliminary discussions in recent months about what a plea deal could look like, according to people familiar with the matter, a potential softening in a standoff filled with political and legal complexities.”
The Wall Street Journal report cites unnamed “people familiar with the matter” and speculated that “the possibility of a deal that would end a lengthy legal saga triggered by one of the biggest classified intelligence leaks in American history.”
Assange has been held at Belmarsh prison in London since April 2019 as the US government works to extradite him. Before his arrest, he had been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy with asylum since June 2012.
He is currently facing charges under the Espionage Act for publishing the Iraq and Afghan War Logs. If convicted, the publisher could face a maximum sentence of 175 years in prison for publishing the leaked materials.

Sen. Burch, 43, made the bizarre announcement while speaking on the Senate floor.
“Right now the safest and most appropriate treatment for me — and the treatment that I choose — is abortion. But the laws that this legislature has passed has interfered with my ability to do that,” Burch said in her floor speech.
Burch claimed that she has had a “rough journey with fertility” and has been pregnant “many times.”
She has two living sons.
The lawmaker also revealed during her speech that she had an abortion for a “non-viable” pregnancy during her senate campaign.
The lawmaker explained that to get an abortion, she needed first to have an “invasive transvaginal ultrasound.”
“I am safe and loved and protected in my marriage but I cannot imagine how inappropriate that would be for a victim of sexual assault, or for someone who has an abusive or coercive relationship with their partner — another unwanted vaginal penetration, but this time by the state, by the people who are commissioned to protect us,” Burch said.
Abortions are prohibited after 15 weeks in Arizona.
“This legislature has failed the people of Arizona in the laws that restrict and dictate abortion and in the resources that it cuts and strangles and denies at every opportunity,” Burch said. “I truly hope that Arizonans have the opportunity to weigh in on abortion on the ballot in November.”
According to an Associated Press report, Burch previously worked as a nurse practitioner at a women’s health clinic.
