The campaign is set to release ahead of the Belmont Stakes and references Stormy’s past sex confession involving the 45th prez … where she alleged Trump lasted no more than 2 minutes in bed.
Alongside a mockup of the PSA, a tagline reads … “Nobody likes a two-minute ride. Turn your back on horse racing cruelty.”
PETA applauds Stormy for speaking out, and encourages her to use her platform for a good cause, noting … “Every week, an average of 24 horses shatter bones and die at racetracks across the country, and the distressing number of deaths continue to mount. Last year alone, 16 horses died at Churchill Downs in the weeks leading to the Kentucky Derby.”
The animal rights extremist organization urged Daniels to consider, claiming that the washed-up sex worker’s participation could make a big difference.
PETA often sells themselves as trying to protect animals from being killed, but they hypocritically murder thousands of adoptable pets each year at their Virginia headquarters.
Documents uncovered by PETAKillsAnimals.com indicated that following an inspection of the PETA facilities, the Commonwealth of Virginia was so shocked by the number of animals they kill each year that the state inspector attempted to revoke their license to operate a shelter.
Dr. Daniel Kovich, the investigator with the VDACS that inspected PETA’s animal shelter in July 2010 determined “the facility does not contain sufficient animal enclosures to routinely house the number of animals annually reported as taken into custody.”
It turns out that PETA has never intended to keep animals that are surrendered to them.
“After reviewing two months worth of records, Kovich found that 245 of the 290 animals–84 percent–that PETA took into custody were killed within 24 hours. Only 17 were reported as adopted or in foster homes. Kovich noted that PETA’s shelter did not meet PETA’s own published guidelines for operating a humane animal shelter,” PETA Kills Animals reports.
In 2019, PETA killed 1,500 cats and dogs. The following year, PETA’s so-called “shelter” took in 2,650 animals and euthanized 67% of the 1,763 animals.

When asked what was in the trailer, the driver, Jose Guadalupe Salinas, claimed that there were two horses — but warned the officers that they were “aggressive.”
After warning them, Salinas voluntarily opened the trailer and revealed the smuggled migrants who were “distressed and sweating profusely.”
Lieutenant Chris Olivarez posted a video of the traffic stop on X and wrote, “Troopers discovered 27 illegal immigrants crammed inside a storage area, distressed and sweating profusely. Three females were severely dehydrated and required medical attention due to extreme heat and no ventilation.”

The 27 migrants, all Mexican nationals, were handed over to U.S. Border Patrol.
Border Patrol also took custody of Salinas, a Texas resident, and said they would be filing federal charges for the smuggling of persons.

Robert Kawada, 43, of Brookline, has been charged with poisoning, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a pregnant person, and assault and battery on a household or family member.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law&Crime, Kawada and the victim, who has not been publicly identified, had met on a dating app in January and began dating.
Law&Crime reports:
In March, Kawada ended the relationship. But shortly thereafter, she learned she was pregnant. She told him she was pregnant with his baby, and the two began meeting to discuss plans. Kawada claimed to have knowledge about pregnancies because his ex-wife had a child, and his father was an OB-GYN. Once, Kawada gave her homemade raspberry leaf cookies, which are believed to induce labor and considered dangerous to eat during the first trimester because it could cause a miscarriage, police wrote.
The suspect would say she looked pale and inquire about her iron levels. Several times, Kawada gave her pills that he said were iron pills, the affidavit said. He allegedly would hold the pill between her cheeks and instruct her to let it dissolve as opposed to swallowing it. He also reportedly told her how often to take the pills. The woman told detectives with the Watertown Police Department that Kawada would pull on her cheeks to ensure she was ingesting the pills.
Once, she went to the bathroom, spit the pill out and saved others in a plastic bag. Kawada reportedly became angry when she told him she swallowed the pill. As she took the pills over several weeks, she had several painful cramps and bleeding. Kawada allegedly assured her everything was normal. She went to an OB-GYN appointment, and the doctor said the baby’s heartbeat was strong, and everything appeared normal.
Just before their last time seeing each other, the woman received a call from someone claiming to be a nurse, informing her that her iron levels were low. Shortly after, Kawada showed up with pills.
The “nurse” called again later that day, telling her to take more, which she did.
Kawada had repeatedly urged her to get an abortion, but she refused and informed him that she wanted to keep the baby. She even offered to raise it on her own.
“That night, she woke up with extreme cramps and felt a discharge,” Law&Crime reports. “She told detectives she felt as though she was having a miscarriage. After discovering the nurse who called her wasn’t a nurse and came from an internet number, she contacted her family about the situation. They had her call Watertown police on May 2. Medical personnel took her to a hospital where doctors confirmed she had a miscarriage, the affidavit said.”
The victim gave police one of the pills that Kawada had given her, which they were able to confirm was the abortion drug Misoprostol.
On Kawada’s phone, police found that he had been searching phrases such as “9 week aborted fetus pics” and “telephone voice changer.”
Kawada is currently being held on $100,000 bond.

In the blog post, the department urged employers to “Provide a sufficient supply of varied period products in bathrooms and ensure menstruators can access products privately” and “Allow flexibility in uniforms, with options in dark colors to ensure menstruators do not need to worry that an unexpected period or heavier flow will lead to noticeable stains.”

The bill, S.209, prohibits Vermont residents from possessing “unserialized firearms,” such as those created with 3D printers or kits purchased online.
According to a report from VT Digger, “The legislation does not prohibit home-built guns, but it does require that a Vermonter with an unserialized gun take it to a licensed firearms dealer, who can then conduct a proper background check and inscribe a serial number onto the weapon. It also establishes higher penalties for anyone who commits a crime while in possession of an unserialized firearm.”
While allowing the bill to become law on Tuesday, Governor Scott wrote a letter to legislatures saying he was allowing it to become law because, “As a public safety measure, I agree firearms should be serialized.”
Gov. Scott’s letter concluded, “Again, while my concerns on the practical impacts and enforceability keep me from signing this bill, I’m allowing it to go into law because I understand the fears behind access to untraceable firearms and respect the effort to tailor the scope and exceptions to limit impact for law abiding citizens.”
“To allow a bill to go into law without a signature is a middle-ground approach available to the governor — in between striking it down with a veto and endorsing it with a signature” VT Digger noted. “Scott holds the record for issuing the most gubernatorial vetoes in state history: 46.”
The bill was strongly opposed by Second Amendment defending organizations, including the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs.
Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs President Chris Bradley told VT Digger that the group would let its current lawsuits challenging Vermont’s ban on high-capacity magazines and the state’s waiting period laws play out in court before challenging other “unconstitutional laws.”
“It is shameful that Vermonters have to sue to obtain rights which should have never been infringed upon in the first place,” Bradley wrote, “and it is sad that Vermonters are paying the (attorney general) to defend these unconstitutional infringements, and then have to repay our legal fees when, not if, we win.”
Vermont is now the 14th state to impose regulations on “ghost guns.”

The Hart Research/Public Opinion Strategies/NBC News survey released on Wednesday found that the percentage of Americans calling the nation “out of control” was the highest on record under any president since the poll began.
Breitbart News reports:
Seventy-three percent of voters believe Biden’s America is “out of control, on wrong track,” topping the record high that George W. Bush set in 2008 — 70 percent. Barack Obama set the third-highest rating at 65 percent.
The poll noted several additional findings. It reported that Trump leads Biden in six of the six swing states, including Wisconsin, a state where other polls showed Biden leading Trump.
The survey also reported that non-white voters are trending away from Democrats, while the Republican Party is surging among the demographic. In four years, non-white voters shifted about 40 points in favor of Republicans.

The Washington Post reports, “The data that McInturff was citing comes from surveys for NBC News that his firm, Public Opinion Strategies, has done jointly with the Democratic firm Hart Research Associates for many years. The slide he posted showed that, among registered voters, 41 percent now identify as Republicans, 40 percent as Democrats. In 2016, Democrats had an advantage of seven percentage points.”
“The lines have crossed for the very first time in a long time, and that’s a very big deal,” the pollster told the Post. “It’s not that Republicans are always going up, it’s that the Democrats are dropping [in party identification].”

One of the questions was, “Do you support shuttering the Boston Police gang database?” To which Wu responded, “Yes.”
Wu told the organization that she also supports ending information sharing between the Boston Police Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The now-mayor was also asked if she supports the do-not-prosecute list enacted by the former Suffolk County district attorney Rachael Rollins.
Fox News reports, “DA Rollins enacted the policy memo identifying more than a dozen charges she said should be declined for prosecution. Those crimes included shoplifting, larceny, disorderly conduct, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended license, breaking and entering with property damage, wanton and malicious destruction of property, threats, minor in possession of alcohol, marijuana possession, possession with intent to distribute, non-marijuana drug possession.”
“The DA was later brought into the Biden administration, before resigning after an ethics probe found that Rollins committed ‘egregious’ ethical violations and ‘abuse of power,'” the report noted.
Wu replied that she does support the list.
The mayor also told the organization that she would like to end the police department’s access to tear gas, rubber bullets, and attack dogs.

Judge Sarah Netburn has served as a magistrate judge for 12 years.
The judge gained notoriety after moving William McClain, who now goes by “July Justine Shelby,” to a women’s prison against the recommendation of the Bureau of Prisons.
McClain served over two decades in prison for raping a 17-year-old girl and molesting a 9-year-old boy. He was arrested again in 2017 for distributing child pornography involving a young girl and an infant.
The Washington Times reports:
Under a Biden administration policy implemented in 2022, transgender women can be moved to a women’s facility on a case-by-case basis, based on “whether a placement would ensure the inmate’s health and safety, and whether the placement would present management or security problems.”
The policy directs that a transgender individual’s “own views with respect to his/her own safety must be given serious consideration.”
The prisoner claimed to be endangered in New York’s Otisville Correctional Institution, a federal medium-security men’s prison.
The Bureau of Prisons repeatedly denied the prisoner’s request to be transferred to a women’s prison, citing risks it would traumatize prisoners and possibly threaten their safety.
The judge, against all reasonable advice, decided to move the sexual predator to the Federal Medical Center, Carswell, which is a female prison in Texas.
“The hypothetical concern that Petitioner will hurt someone must be counter-balanced by the actual evidence that she has been assaulted and harassed in a men’s facility,” Judge Netburn wrote in the decision.
During her confirmation hearing, Sen. Ted Cruz grilled her about the decision.
“So you took a six-foot-two serial rapist. Serial child rapist with male genitalia,” Sen. Cruz said. “And he said, you know, I’d like to be in a women’s prison. And your answer was, ‘That sounds great to me.’ Let me ask you something. The other women in that prison, do they have any rights?”
The judge remained unapologetic for the decision.

The mass lawsuit, brought on by those who live nearby, claims the Chiquita Canyon Landfill in Castaic’s endless emission of toxic fumes has “led to numerous health issues including respiratory symptoms, headaches, eye irritation, skin issues, and more,” according to a report from KTLA.
Chiquita Canyon, LLC, a private company, operates the 639-acre municipal landfill.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, beginning in May 2022, the landfill has experienced a “significant subsurface oxidation event that has grown in size and impact.”
“As of January 17, 2024, the reaction area was located approximately 1,000 feet from the nearest resident,” the EPA wrote in their report. The air quality is being impacted in a roughly seven-mile radius.
The report called the landfill an “imminent and substantial endangerment to nearby communities.”
The EPA explained, “The leachate seeping from the reaction area contains elevated levels of benzene, a hazardous substance. Benzene can adversely affect human health through air exposure or the consumption of benzene-contaminated water. The sub-surface reaction has caused a significant increase in leachate production, which CCL failed to properly manage as hazardous waste and has not been properly treating, storing, or disposing of the leachate.”
In 2023 alone, 6,800 noxious odor complaints were made by those in the community.

Bragg continued, “Much of what defines our city is respect and acceptance of all people. Nobody should have to fear for their safety because of their identity. I thank our prosecutors for their unwavering commitment in seeking justice for these victims.”
Stora is accused of randomly attacking strangers from September 2023 through March 2024.

The most recent attack occurred on March 25, when a 23-year-old woman in the Chelsea neighborhood was hit, prosecutors said. That incident attracted widespread attention after the victim posted about it on TikTok, resulting in millions of views, and several other people described similar attacks in social media posts.
Influencer Halley McGookin — who goes by “Halley Kate” — made a tearful video describing the attack.
She was walking past Stora, when he allegedly punched her in the head, causing her to fall to the ground, Bragg said.
A Jewish couple was also attacked while walking their dogs in Union Square in November 2023.
In October, he had elbowed a “fair-skinned” woman who was walking near him.
The first assault linked to Stora was in September 2023, when he elbowed a 17-year-old white student in the neck.
Stora ran for city council last year.

The minor girl called the police at 3:51 a.m. on May 22 from a LOVES truck stop in Covington.
When police arrived, the girl explained that she was from Louisiana and was being held captive against her will in a vehicle by Diego Soch Castro.
Castro was arrested at the scene and charged with abduction, indecent liberties with a minor, and assault and battery.
The minor’s name and age have not been publicly released. It is also unclear where she was kidnapped from or her relation to Castro.
Castro’s age and where he is from have not been publicly released.
In a press release posted to social media, the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office said that, in addition to the charges, an ICE detainer was placed on him.
The minor was transported to Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital for an evaluation and was later released to child protective services.

Concerned Citizens of Tyrrell County claimed in the lawsuit that the Tyrrell County Confederate Memorial violates the equal protection clause because of its “racist” language thanking “faithful slaves.”
“Tyrrell County’s monument communicates, on behalf of local government, the idea that Black people who were enslaved in Tyrrell County preferred their slavery to freedom,” the lawsuit states, adding that it pushes “the idea that Tyrrell’s institutions regard Black people’s rightful place as one of subservience and obedience.”
The 20-foot-tall monument sits outside the Tyrrell County Courthouse, one of the oldest operating courthouses in North Carolina.
The community organizers have been protesting against the monument for years, though they have received pushback from many local residents.
The lawsuit seeks the judge to force the county to remove the monument, “pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and recovery of costs, as well as reasonable attorneys’ fees,” and “any other and further relief the Court deems equitable and just.”
The Hill reports, “The suit comes up against a 2015 North Carolina law that was intended to prevent local government from removing Confederate monuments, though the plaintiffs claim the law only applies to monuments owned by the state government, and not counties.”
“More than a dozen Confederate monuments have been taken down by local governments within the last five years, the suit claims. Others were also taken down by force, including one toppled by protesters at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018.”

The boardwalk in the shore town of Wildwood was closed just after midnight after police received an “irrepressible number” of complaints about an “extremely large number of young adults & juveniles,” according to a report from the New York Post.
The report explains:
City officials did not cite a specific incident that led them to shut down the boardwalk, but claimed that cops were addressing “civil unrest.” Conditions “began to deteriorate despite the presence and efforts of local police officers and multiple mutual aid law enforcement agencies,” the statement adds.
Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano, Jr. said that the city had declared a “state of emergency” – which allows it to send an abnormally large police presence to the area – and blamed the situation on “unruly” teens.
“Wildwood will not tolerate unruly, undisciplined, unparented children nor will we stand by while the laws of the state tie the hands of the police,” Troiano, Jr said in a press release.

A representative for the Postal Service told local station WRGB Albany that their employees did not hang the flag and that it “will be removed as soon as possible.”
The flag was removed a short time later.
The report added, “Police say they have reached out to the Office of the Postal Inspector, pending investigation.”
NewsChannel 13 reports that the flag was hung with zip ties.

“Operational changes have been made at select stores throughout the Bay Area given the increasing amount of theft,” Safeway said in a statement provided to local station KTVU.
The statement continued, “Self-checkout kiosks have been removed at a few stores. Like other local businesses, we are working on ways to curtail escalating theft so we can ensure the well-being of our employees and foster a welcoming environment for our customers.”

Democrat State Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas has introduced legislation to curtail the amount of theft at self-checkouts.
Instead of getting tough on thieves, Smallwood-Cuevas’ bill will require stores to have a minimum staffing level of one worker for every two self-checkout machines.
“Lone workers have become easy targets of theft and violence and they’re too often forced to stock merchandise, operate checkout, cater to customers, all while trying to monitor their stores for retail theft,” she told the station.

According to a recent study published in the New Zealand Medical Journal, an 18-year-old biological female attempted to perform a mastectomy on her left breast. The self-surgery was done due to “significant psychological stress of having breasts at an upcoming pool party,” according to the journal.
The doctors in the study said the individual “demonstrated premeditation by watching a ‘how to’ video on YouTube, gathering the necessary equipment, marking the incision, and considering pain management and bleeding control.”
However, Patient Z quickly suffered “concerns” about the “self-attempted left mastectomy” and “sought medical attention several hours” through the “self-attempted left mastectomy due to concerns of damaging a nerve.”
The emergency doctors performed a “completion left mastectomy and symmetrizing right mastectomy.”
The study authors reported, “Gender dysphoria causes significant distress for transgender people. It is well documented that transgender people experience higher levels of discrimination, bullying, and violence compared to the general public.”
“Additionally, a study reviewed patients prior to gender-affirming surgery and identified a significant proportion of patients with undiagnosed anxiety and depression. While not all transgender people want gender-affirmation surgery, individuals that do should be able to access this service and express their authentic gender.”

The body of Leonel Esteban Borroni, 40, known online as the “Traveling Lion,” was found by his brother-in-law at his home in Buenos Aires on May 17.
Borroni’s mother had sent the brother-in-law to check on him when he stopped responding to phone calls.
The New York Post reports:
According to police reports, the deceased was found hanging from a skylight with his hands and legs bound with plastic ties with authorities suspecting that he could’ve restrained himself.
Police suspect that Borroni took his own life, but are currently waiting on results from the autopsy.
The Youtuber had reportedly left farewell messages on his cell phone, in which he claimed he was “depressed” about the child pornography case against him.
Before his death, Borroni’s house was raided, and electronic devices containing child sexual abuse material were uncovered.
Borroni had approximately 300,000 followers across his social media platforms before his death. He was known for documenting his travels on his motorcycle.

The candidate had accepted the nomination for the Libertarian Party and addressed the convention on Friday — despite previously saying he would not run as a Libertarian. The delegate who nominated him was met with loud booing from the rest of the convention.

Kennedy has raised a strong profile among centrists, selling himself as an anti-establishment figure suspicious of the traditions of government. Though Kennedy is widely seen as a long-shot contender against Trump and President Biden, recent polling has suggested he could be a spoiler for Trump in November.
The ex-Democrat has about 8 percent support in The Hill/Decision Desk HQ average of polls, where Trump leads Biden by just more than 1 percent.
During the convention, the Kennedy campaign handed out rubber chickens to try to get people to squeak them during Trump’s speech because the former president declined to debate him.
Former President Trump also blasted Kennedy in a series of Truth Social posts in late April.
Trump said he would even “take Biden” over RFK and accused him of being a Democrat plant.

Trump said that the “radicalized” Kennedy family would “never allow him to be a Republican,” and that his primary funder is his vice presidential candidate that “nobody ever heard of.”
In a third post, Trump wrote, “I lived with RFK Jr. in New York and watched him convince Governor Cuomo to make Environmental moves that were outright NASTY. Upstate New York was not allowed to drill or frack as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and others ripped off New York Energy. Because of this, prices have skyrocketed all over that part of the Country, but especially Upstate New York and New England. “I think they need to do a course correction a bit in terms of putting the message secondary, behind entertainment and compelling story and engaging characters,” Musker said.
Musker was discussing the issue while recalling criticism Disney received while making The Princess and the Frog.
“We weren’t trying to be woke, although I understand the criticism,” Musker said.
“The classic Disney films didn’t start out trying to have a message. They wanted you to get involved in the characters and the story and the world, and I think that’s still the heart of it,” Musker continued. “You don’t have to exclude agendas, but you have to first create characters who you sympathize with and who are compelling.”
When Musker was at his height within the company, in the 1990s and 2000s, he said he dealt with minimal political correctness—but due to the Gulf War, he did have to change Baghdad to the fake land of “Agrabah” in Aladdin.

“And then something like this happens and you realize we’re all just humans.. It’s a really hard day, because you look at Grayson and you see in him someone who has visibly, outwardly struggled in the past. And he’s been open about it. And you see him kind of get his life back to a place where he’s been good about things. And he’s playing great. His game is so good. He’s so good at golf.”
“It’s a huge loss for our fans,” Malnati said. “You realize that as much as we want to beat each other, as much as you want to be competitive, we really are one big family. And we lost one today, and that’s terrible.”

On December 14, Cassidy ripped the head off and threw it in a trashcan. He was subsequently charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and felony third-degree criminal mischief committed “in violation of individual rights” under Iowa’s hate crime statute.
On Friday, prosecutors dropped the hate crime charges in exchange for him pleading guilty to third-degree criminal mischief, a lesser misdemeanor charge, his lawyers told The Sentinel.
Davis Younts, an attorney representing Cassidy, told The Sentinel that prosecutors “finally agreed to drop the hate crimes enhancement after months-long legal battles over every aspect of this case.”
“It is because of the people that came to his aid and an outstanding legal team that we were able to back the prosecutors into a corner and get this resolution,” Younts added. “Instead of a felony hate crime and jail time, Cassidy received deferred judgment for damage to property and the conviction will be expunged once the court process is complete. Forcing the prosecutors to drop the hate crime is a huge victory for Cassidy and for religious freedom.”

Multiple school boards in the state have passed measures requiring schools to inform parents if their child is having gender identity issues. This bill is a direct response to them.

The new bill will be added to Assembly Bill 1955 — introduced by Assemblymember Chris Ward, D-San Diego, earlier this year — through a process called “gut-and-amend.”
Under the amended bill, called the “Support Academic Futures and Educators for Today’s Youth,” or SAFETY ACT, school districts would be banned from, what Ward described as, “forced outing policies.”
“No matter how much Democrats dislike it, the fact is parents have a right to be involved in their kids’ education,” said California Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher in a statement provided to Fox News. “It’s unbelievable that anyone would think that teachers can keep secrets from parents, but it’s flat-out disgusting that Democrats are trying to mandate that schools keep parents in the dark.”
The California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus has argued in favor of the bill, claiming that “affirming school environments significantly reduce the odds of transgender youth attempting suicide.”
“Parental involvement in their children’s lives is desirable and often necessary, however, a student’s gender identity is generally a matter to be discussed between the child and their parents in the time and manner chosen by the family,” the LGBTQ Caucus said in a statement. “No teacher, administrator, or others outside of the family should be forcing families to have conversations.”

Baker’s daughter, Natalie, and her husband, Davy Lloyd, were living in Haiti and serving as full-time missionaries when they were fatally attacked on Thursday.
Baker announced the tragic news in a post on Facebook.
“My heart is broken in a thousand pieces,” Baker began. “I’ve never felt this kind of pain. Most of you know my daughter and son-in-law Davy and Natalie Lloyd are full time missionaries in Haiti. They were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family we desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now.”
The New York Post reports that Natalie and Davy were with Missions in Haiti Inc., founded by Davy’s parents, David and Alicia Lloyd, in 2000.

This evening when Davy, Natalie and the kids were coming out of Youth at the church they were ambushed by a gang of 3 trucks full of guys. Davy was taken to the house tied up and beat. The gang then took our trucks and loaded everything up they wanted and left.
“Another gang came after to see what was going on and if they could help, so they say,” the organization continued. “No one understood what they were doing, not sure what took place but one was shot and killed and now this gang went into full attack mode.”
“Davy, Natalie and Jude was in my house at the end of the property using the star link internet to call me,” the post continued. “So they are holed up in there, the gangs has shot all the windows out of the house and continue to shoot. Their lives are in danger. I have been trying all my contacts to get a police armored car there to evacuate them out to safety but can’t get anyone to do. I also am trying to negotiate with the gang so how much $ to stand down and let them leave and get to safety. PLEASE PRAY- Going to be a long night. The phones have all died I can’t get a hold of anybody for the past several hours now to know what was going on.”
Two hours later, the organization posted an update that read, “Davy and Natalie and Jude were shot and killed by the gang about 9 o’clock this evening. We all are devastated.”
News of the murders was shared by former President Donald Trump, who called for the killers to be found.

The California bill will fast-track abortionists to be able to operate in the state and went into effect immediately upon being signed by Newsom.
Nearly all abortions were set to be banned in Arizona on June 8, except to save the life of the mother — but it has since been repealed by the state legislature. The state will now revert to allowing abortion up until 15 weeks.
The California bill, introduced by Newsom last month, will allow Arizona abortionists to be approved to work in the Golden State within five business days of submitting their application.
According to a report from The Hill, the bill “passed in California’s state Senate in a 30-8 vote on Tuesday, with the backing of the California Legislative Women’s Caucus.”
“Arizona Republicans tried to turn back the clock to 1864 to impose a near-total abortion ban across their state. We refuse to stand by and acquiesce to their oppressive and dangerous attacks on women,” Newsom said in a statement on Thursday.

In February, he launched ads in multiple states to criticize proposals there that aimed to prohibit out-of-state travel for abortions.”

A survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports found that a 54 percent majority of likely voters support a policy to mass deport all illegal aliens, including 36 percent of voters who “strongly” support it.
There are an estimated 11 to 22 million illegal aliens in the United States.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that, if given a choice between two candidates, one of whom favored granting amnesty to illegal aliens and one of whom favored deporting all illegal aliens, 52% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the candidate who favored deportation,” the pollsters found. “Thirty-six percent (36%) would vote for the candidate who favored amnesty, while 12% are undecided.”

Working and lower-middle class Americans, those most likely to compete for jobs against illegal aliens, remain highly supportive of deportations. Nearly 60 percent of those likely voters who are not college-educated said they support deporting illegal aliens.
At the same time, those Americans most likely to hire illegal aliens for below-market wages are the most opposed to such a deportation policy. A wide majority, 63 percent, of those earning $200,000 or more a year said they do not support deporting illegal aliens.
Fewer than 4-in-10 likely voters said they oppose mass deportations of illegal aliens.
The report noted that there is also a wide gap in support along economic lines. It states, “likely voters making $30,000 to $50,000 a year said by a 55-percent majority that they oppose amnesty, as are 51 percent of those earning $50,000 to $100,000. Conversely, almost 6-in-10 likely voters earning $200,000 or more support amnesty for illegal aliens.”
Rasmussen polled 1,072 U.S. likely voters from May 12-14, 2024. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Ishmael Lee, 34, was arrested on Tuesday after absconding with the stolen police vehicle.
The officer was patrolling when he noticed two men, one of whom was Lee, driving Slingshots.
As the police officer was observing the Slingshot riders, Lee crashed into someone who was riding an electric scooter.
Local station WPRI reports:
While speaking with the victim and Lee, the officer noticed Lee had taken the satchel he was wearing off and looped it around the handlebar of his Slingshot. Lee then tried to distance himself from it as he continued talking to the officer, according to the report.
Since the officer believed Lee might be carrying a weapon, the report stated he tried to pat the bag down the bag for his safety before allowing Lee to grab his identification.
But Lee took off running with the satchel before the officer could pat it down, according to the report. The officer chased him around the corner onto Colfax Street, where the two briefly struggled before Lee broke free and kept running.
The report said that a firearm fell out of Lee’s satchel as he was escaping, so the officer secured the weapon while calling for backup.
At this point, Lee jumped into the officer’s cruiser and sped off.
Lee did not go far before jumping out of the vehicle and trying to get away on foot. He was quickly located by officers and taken into custody.
Lee has been charged with simple assault, motor vehicle theft, possession of a firearm, resisting arrest, reckless driving and obstruction of justice. His bail was set by a judge at $20,000.

House Bill 4624, dubbed the “Help not Harm” bill by legislators, prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from receiving sex change surgery or any form of puberty blockers or hormones.
The Associated Press reports that the bill also requires school principals or vice principals “to notify parents or guardians if a child wanted to use a name other than their legal one, or a nickname or pronouns that did not match their sex assigned at birth.”
“I signed the Help Not Harm bill into law, which protects our state’s children from irreversible gender transition procedures and bans public funds from being used for them,” McMaster wrote in a statement posted to X on Wednesday. “I look forward to joining legislators and supporters at a ceremonial bill signing in the Upstate next week.”

Biden made some additional grammatical errors before referring to the January 6 protesters as “irrectionists,” which the White House corrected to say “insurrectionists.”
During his speech, Biden sought to differentiate himself from former President Donald Trump by referring to him as “unhinged.”
“Look, the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion are the core strength of America,” Biden said. “That’s why I’m proud to have the most diverse administration in history to tap into the full talents of our country.”

The incident occurred in December, but the arrest warrant affidavit was made public this week.
Samantha Anthony, 32, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.
Local station KSAT reports:
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, on Dec. 30, 2023, Anthony had driven to a McDonald’s restaurant in the 1330 block of South Laredo Street, just south of downtown, when she began complaining about her order to the drive-through cashier.
The affidavit states that Anthony then fired multiple gunshots from the drive-side car window into the second drive-thru window. At least eight gunshots were fired into the window, with employees working and the business open, police said.
The employees took cover behind walls and equipment. No one was injured.
According to a report from The Blaze, the suspect had picked up her order and drove away. She returned 30 minutes later, covered in empty food wrappers, and claimed that she had not been given her full order — specifically, biscuits and hashbrowns.
A manager checked the camera and saw that she had been given her food.
The Blaze reports:
“She was hopping from the first drive-thru window to the second window, banging, talking, yelling,” an employee recalled. She said the woman challenged them to come out and fight her.
Then the shots rang out.
“I heard the first shot, I kind of like had a late reaction,” said the employee. “Whenever the other shot started ringing out, that’s when all of us in the front started ducking and sliding.”
The employee said she had a panic attack over the shooting and was crying and scared.
Anthony fled the scene, but her image and vehicle were caught on surveillance camera footage.
The hungry shooter is currently being held on $75,000 bond.

Lawfare is the use of legal actions to exhaust an opponent both mentally and monetarily.
Stone spoke to Variety about the 2024 presidential race at the Cannes Film Festival where he was premiering his new documentary “Lula,” which is about Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
“The charges on both sides of the Trump-Biden election are pretty wild — that Biden is corrupt and Trump is corrupt,” Stone told the magazine.
“It’s a new form of warfare. It’s called lawfare. And that’s what they’re using against Trump. And I think there’s interesting parallels here in America, as well as all over the world, you’re seeing this kind of behavior. [Trump’s] got four trials and some of these charges, whether you’re for him or against him, they are minor.”
Stone told Variety that he is still not a fan of Trump, and “corruption is just a constant throughout human history.”
“Corruption is a way of life,” Stone explained. “It goes back to the Greeks, the Romans, and before that the Babylonians, There’s corruption all through history, so let’s not be Pollyannas about it and think we’re ‘America the clean’ and we’re better than anybody else. That’s such bullshit.”

Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly called for Biden to be drug tested before each debate, claiming that he was “high” during the State of the Union.

The candidate also linked to an article from the New York Times headlined, “Hogan Backs Codifying Roe, Tacking Left on Abortion Ahead of a Tough Race.”
Hogan told the newspaper that he is “pro-choice.”
The Times reports:
Asked whether he viewed himself as “pro-life” or “pro-choice,” Mr. Hogan said, “Given the definition of what I’m supporting — women’s rights to make their own decision — I would say that’s pro-choice.”
It was a major tack to the left for Mr. Hogan, a Catholic who has long said his personal beliefs about abortion would not interfere with his stance that the issue is settled in state law. The move came as the former governor is heading into a challenging general election campaign in the solidly Democratic state of Maryland whose outcome could determine which party controls the Senate.
The Blaze notes that Hogan does not support former President Donald Trump.
“Hogan, who served as Maryland’s governor from early 2015 through early 2023, has never voted for Donald Trump but wrote in his father Larry Hogan Sr. in 2016 and the late President Ronald Reagan in 2020. He has said that he will not vote for Trump or Biden this year,” the report states.
Hogan has been openly courting Democrat voters instead of those from his own party.

The incident occurred at the Hamilton High School graduation on Thursday evening at the Cannon Center in Memphis.
According to a report from the local News Channel 3, “a school security officer saw one of the students walk past another student and begin throwing up gang signs. That is when the student threw a graduation binder at the victim.”
“As the first student was being held back, the victim jumped over three rows of seats and began hitting him. Two other students jumped into the fight,” the report continued. “One of the students involved was pepper sprayed during the incident. There were no other visible injuries.”
The students involved were released to their parents after being given Juvenile Summons or Misdemeanor Citations.
“We are not going to stop our graduation. We are going to continue because this is the Wildcat way,” a school official announced after the brawl was contained.
An officer was injured during the fight.
“He has a big bruise on his left eye, they broke his glasses, the front of his foot looks like it is fractured,” his wife said, according to a report from the New York Post.

According to a report from Hip Hob Vibe, “Rylo Huncho’s real name has not been disclosed. However, he was known for his energetic performances and promising music career…he was filming content for his TikTok account when the gun discharged. So, this resulted in a fatal injury.”
It remains unclear if the shooting was intentional or an accident.
Before he pulls the trigger, Huncho can be heard saying, “F*ck y’all, n****.”

Family members have since set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses and support the grieving family during this challenging time. The page has seen an outpouring of support from fans and the community, reflecting the impact Rylo had on those around him.
The GoFundMe page was set up by a cousin of Rylo Huncho’s. In her description, she says that the cause of death was accidental/suicide. Also, she says the the family is still trying to figure out why. This is how the GoFundMe statement reads.
Rylo Huncho’s untimely death has sparked conversations about the responsibilities of social media platforms and the influence they have on young users. The community continues to rally around the family, sharing memories of Rylo’s passion for music and his bright future.
Over $2,000 has been raised on the GoFundMe fundraiser.
The description reads, “Hello , my aunt recently lost her 17 year old son from a self inflicted gun wound to the head . He was her only son ! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could. Suicide/accidental was the cause of his death we are still trying to figure out why . But anything I mean anything can help her at this time of need . He was her only child she was also an only child it was always her and her son . Anything can help ! Please keep my family in your prayers thank you so much.”
The Gateway Pundit has not been able to independently verify the validity of the GoFundMe or any claims made about the teenager.
A report from Biz Pac Review noted, “The brief viral clip raised questions about the fate of the rapper and at least one social media account suggested, ‘according to his family, he went to the hospital and died from injuries. his friend posted the video [because] people were saying the friend shot him. his family was also saying he was depressed but since he is gone, we will never know if it was a major accident or purposely done.'”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had released photos of the mother and infant and asked the public for help identifying them.
The mother was in a store in Lomita when she asked an employee to call her a cab.
“The woman went to the bathroom as the employee arranged for a taxi. When the taxi arrived, authorities say the woman got in the car and left the child behind in a shopping cart,” ABC 7 reports.
On Wednesday, relatives of the woman helped police track her down.
“On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Lomita detectives spoke with family members of the abandoned infant who identified her and the biological mother,” the LASD wrote in an update posted to Facebook. “The investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information available at this time.”
The department is still asking for anyone with information to contact them. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
The baby was placed in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser shut down the operation but did not arrest the person behind it — Durand Kelby Tovar, 43.
Weiser’s office said in a press release, “Beginning in at least 2013, Tovar, who resides in Summit County, solicited donations by going door-to-door and asking consumers for money to buy care packages, which he claimed would be mailed to members of the military. Instead, investigators found Tovar bilked donors out of their cash for years, sending very few of the promised care packages. Tovar also failed to register his charity with the Colorado Secretary of State, or register himself as a paid solicitor, as required by state law.”
Tovar’s fake charity, First Choice Processing, claimed in promotion materials that it “annually sends 10,000 plus care packages filled with snacks, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, plus personal letter of appreciation to Veterans, New Recruits, and individually named U.S. services members deployed overseas.”
Weiser said that his office was unable to confirm if a single care package was sent since 2021.
“According to Tovar’s own statements to investigators, his companies had not used the distributor since at least 2017 and did not send anywhere near 10,000 care packages annually to military members or veterans. Despite continuing to solicit donations, investigators were unable to confirm if Tovar sent a single care package since at least 2021.”
“Fake charities of any kind are wrong and illegal, but it’s especially despicable for someone to take advantage of those who want to support our active-duty service members, veterans, and their families,” Weiser said. “We owe those who serve our country a deep debt of gratitude, and we will hold accountable fraudsters who defraud service members and veterans for personal gain.”
In a settlement with the Attorney General, Tovar is now permanently barred from engaging in any direct or indirect charitable activities. He also must pay a $20,000 fine “that may be used at the attorney general’s discretion for restitution, consumer education, enforcement, or to advance the public welfare.”
If Tovar breaks the terms of the settlement, he will be required to pay $50,000.
According to a report from News Channel 21, “Durand, incidentally, is a registered sex offender. He has a profile on the Colorado Bureau of Investigation’s sex offender registery and is shown on a Summit County list of sex offenders residing there. The Summit County list was last updated in December.”
The report adds, “Online public records indicate Tovar was arrested in 2017 on four felony charges of soliciting and attempting to solicit a child prostitute.”
The press release did not explain why Weiser gave Tovar such a sweet deal.

She says she left her door open at approximately 12:30 p.m. after letting her dog out, and that’s when two men entered the home.
“I saw two men wearing masks standing inside my house,” She said. “I screamed – ‘I am calling the police’ and they bolted.”
Michelle and a neighbor ran after the men. Then, she says she called 911.
“They told me dispatch was on the way and wait outside,” she said.
Michelle ended up calling 911 six times without any assistance. She finally asked to speak to a supervisor.
“A gentleman got on and said sorry to say we have no units to send you…then there was an awkward pause,” Michelle told the station. “He also recommended I call my alderman, and I said ‘why’ — and he said encourage him to hire more police. The dispatcher also asked me if I would consider defending myself …if I had a weapon or considered getting one.”
It took over four hours for officers to arrive.
“The officers who did show up cared and were apologetic it took so long to get them there,” Michelle said.
Michelle has now called her alderman, but does not want the police department to be blamed for the long wait.
“I don’t think it is the police department’s fault they are overstaffed and overwhelmed,” she said.

Bernice Annette Garza had been charged with conspiracy to transport people illegally within the United States.
Garza was arrested on December 7, 2022, during a traffic stop near Victoria. According to a report from MY RVG, four illegal aliens were found inside the District Attorney’s office vehicle at that time.

In the car with Garza were Magaly Rosa and her husband, Juan Antonio Charles, both then 40 and part of the smuggling operation, according to court records.
The deputy also found four undocumented migrants in the car, records show. They were visibly trembling, were wearing new clothes and appeared to answer questions as though “rehearsed,” the complaint says.
Rosa told authorities that Garza had recruited her to smuggle migrants in her county vehicle. She said Garza provided fraudulent court papers that identified migrants as crime victims, the complaint says.
Rosa and her husband operated their home as a stash house for newly arrived migrants, according to the criminal complaint. They would buy them clothes and feed them, and then Garza would pick up the migrants and Rosa in her county vehicle for the trip to Houston, the complaint says.
Garza confessed that she and her coconspirators had made over 40 trips smuggling the migrants between June and December 2022.
The DA’s office fired Garza on the same day as her arrest.
Garza is scheduled to be sentenced in September.

Tenth-grade student “Aayden Gallagher” is a biological male competing against female athletes.
On Saturday Aayden Gallagher, a biological male, won the women’s 200 meter dash at the Oregon track and field championships at the historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Aaden Gallagher is ‘unofficially’ ranked in the top 50 high school sprinters nationally.
According to Outsports:
Gallagher is a transgender girl in a state that affirms her right to compete on a girl’s team. Oregon requires no medical or hormonal transition for trans athletes to compete in any gendered category, and the state allows nonbinary athletes to simply choose their gender category in sports, regardless of any medical interventions.
When she raced to second place at 200 meters, and won the 400 meters at a meet in April, that fact didn’t sit well with a group of Republican legislators in her state.
They promptly called on the Oregon State Activities Association, the governing body for high school sports in the state, to change their policyThe OSAA’s executive director, Peter Weber, stood up and publicly defended the policy. He met their letter with one of his own.
“Oregon law has long prohibited discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation,” the letter states. “In 2019, the Oregon Department of Education amended its rules that ‘sexual orientation’ was defined to include ‘gender identity.’ The Oregon legislature likewise amended the definition of ‘sexual orientation’ to include ‘gender identity.’”
In response, there is a call to put forth legislation that would ban transgender girls and strip any achievements they may have earned.

“During my State of the Commonwealth address in January, I made clear my intention to work in a bipartisan manner with the General Assembly to accomplish policies that move Virginia forward, and we have a lot to be proud of this session,” said Governor Youngkin in a press release.
Youngkin stated that he “must act on the language before me, and there are several bills which are not ready to become law.”
“This includes legislation related to contraception. Let me be crystal clear: I support access to contraception. However, we cannot trample on the religious freedoms of Virginians. And that is the issue the recommendations I sent back to the General Assembly addressed. I will continue to uphold the oath that I swore to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Youngkin said.
Youngkin also vetoed SB 517, which sought to remove tax-exempt status from organizations dedicated to Confederate history. This would have included the Virginia Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the General Organization of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Confederate Memorial Literary Society, and the Stonewall Jackson Memorial.
“The Commonwealth should pass necessary reforms regarding exemptions from local property and recordation taxes,” Youngkin wrote in a statement. “Narrowly targeting specific organizations to gain or lose such tax exemptions sets an inappropriate precedent. … Choosing winners and losers is imprudent and undermines the tax system’s fairness. ”

Barbara Furlow-Smiles, 38, of Georgia, pleaded guilty to wire fraud in December for what the Justice Department called an “elaborate scheme involving fraudulent vendors, fictitious paperwork, and cash kickbacks.”
On Monday, Furlow-Smiles was sentenced to five years and three months in prison plus three years of supervised release. She has also been ordered to pay restitution of $4,981,783.58 to Facebook and $121,054.50 to Nike, for a total of $5,102,838.08.
“Furlow-Smiles shamelessly violated her position of trust as a DEI executive at Facebook to steal millions from the company utilizing a scheme involving fraudulent vendors, fake invoices, and cash kickbacks,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan. “After being terminated from Facebook, she brazenly continued the fraud as a DEI leader at Nike, where she stole another six-figure sum from their diversity program. Her prison sentence reflects the consequences of her decision to orchestrate an intricate scheme to defraud two of her employers for personal profit.”
According to a press release from the Justice Department, “Furlow-Smiles served as Lead Strategist, Global Head of Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Engagement at Facebook, Inc., now known as Meta Platforms, Inc., doing business as Meta. From January 2017 to September 2021, she led Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs at Facebook and was responsible for developing and executing DEI initiatives, operations, and engagement programs. In her position, Furlow-Smiles had access to company credit cards. She also had the authority to submit purchase requisitions and approve invoices for authorized vendors of Facebook.”
“Furlow-Smiles used her position at Facebook to cheat and defraud the company. She caused Facebook to pay numerous individuals for goods and services that were never provided and then directed those individuals to kick back the fraudulent proceeds to her, often in cash. Her scheme operated in two ways,” the press release explained.
“First, Furlow-Smiles linked PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App accounts to her Facebook credit cards and used those accounts to pay friends, relatives, and other associates for goods and services that in truth were never provided to Facebook. To conceal the bogus charges, Furlow-Smiles submitted fraudulent expense reports, falsely claiming that her associates or their businesses had performed work on programs and events for Facebook, such as providing swag or marketing services, when in fact they had not done so.”
After receiving the money from Facebook, the individuals would return the majority of it to Furlow-Smiles.
“Second, Furlow-Smiles caused Facebook to onboard several vendors that were owned and operated by friends and associates who paid her kickbacks. Furlow-Smiles approved fraudulent invoices for these vendors. After Facebook paid the invoices, Furlow-Smiles directed the vendors to return a portion of the money they received to her.”
According to the DOJ, Furlow-Smiles stole over $4.9 million from Facebook and over $120,000 from Nike “based on fictitious charges and fraudulent invoices. She used the money to fund a luxury lifestyle in California, Georgia, and Oregon.”

Sally Dreckmann, 52, the daycare owner, and her employees Traci Innie, 51; Kaitlin Filardo, 23; and Jessica Foster, 23, have all been charged with ten counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the Manchester Police Department, the melatonin was being given to the children without their parents’ knowledge or consent.
KFOX 14 reports, “Dreckmann’s arrest comes after a lengthy investigation after Manchester police detectives got a tip in November 2023 about ‘unsafe practices going on’ at the daycare at 316 Amory Street.”
Melatonin is an over-the-counter drug used to induce sleep.
“This is an over-the-counter drug that can be given as a sleep aid, but for it to be given to children without the knowledge or consent of the parents, it’s very concerning,” Heather Hamel, a Manchester Police Department spokesperson, told local station WHDH.
Hamel said that the melatonin was sprinkled into the children’s food during lunch.
KFOX notes, “It’s unknown how much melatonin was used and how long the suspects had been using melatonin on the children.”

The father had initially taken the baby and its mother hostage around 3 a.m., but she managed to flee and find a group of construction workers who called the police for her.
The Surprise Police Department said in a statement posted to social media, “Officers learned a female victim had been held hostage inside her residence by the father of her child since 3 a.m. that morning. After breaking into the home, the suspect would not let the victim and their infant child leave, causing the victim to fear for her and the child’s safety. The victim was eventually able to get away from the suspect, and sought help from a nearby construction crew who called police. Officers learned the infant was still inside the home with the suspect.”
“When officers arrived at the residence, they heard multiple rounds of gunfire from inside,” the statement continued. “A Surprise Police officer fired one round in response toward the residence where the suspect was located, and officers quickly worked to force entry and rescue the infant who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers and tactical medics immediately rendered aid to the victims.”
The infant was airlifted to a nearby hospital in serious condition, but it is believed that the injuries are non-life threatening.
The police department said that shortly after 3 p.m., a fire started in the residence while the suspect was inside.
“Fire crews could not tend to the fire due to the possible threat and sounds of gunfire coming from inside the house. The condition of the suspect will be unknown until it is safe for investigators to enter the residence.”
It is unclear how the fire was started.

“The library violated our First and 14th Amendment rights,” Allie Snyder, a member of the organization and one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit told the local ABC 10.
“The library changed its policies to promote the First Amendment rights of all people who use libraries in Yolo County. And it also agreed a payment of damages and attorneys fees for shutting down that event initially,” Matthew Hoffmann, with Alliance Defending Freedom, told the outlet.
Hoffman is one of the attorneys who was representing Snyder and the organization.
The settlement also allowed the organization to make up for the original event.
“We were able to refer to boys and men in women and girls sports, and how unfair this was and how dangerous that is,” said Snyder.
County officials agreed to update the library’s policies to ensure staff “shall not interfere with presentations or other speech by individuals or groups that have reserved meeting rooms, based on the content of such speech.”

Candyce Leigh Carter, 35, also had drugs in her classroom at the Spotswood Elementary School in Fredericksburg.
The teacher was charged with felony possession of schedule I/II narcotics, felony child endangerment, and felony child neglect or abuse, according to the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.
According to a report from Fox News, “During the incident, Carter’s husband was found in the school parking lot in a vehicle, also under the suspected influence of narcotics, and required medical attention, police said.”
The husband has been identified as Kristopher Donald Carter.
A two-year-old child was also inside the vehicle.
The husband was charged with felony child endangerment and felony child neglect or abuse.
“Both Carters have been incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail. Candyce Carter is being held without bond. Kristopher Carter is in jail under a $5,000 bond,” Fox reports.
It is not believed that any students were exposed to the drugs.
“No students reported injuries or exposure, but were checked by medical personnel out of abundance of caution and the classroom was professionally cleaned,” the sheriff’s office said.
While Spotsylvania County Public Schools has not announced if Carter is fired, School Board Chair Lorita Daniels said that they take “all reports of alleged personnel misconduct very seriously and follows applicable district policies and procedures.”

Chauvin was stabbed 22 times by fellow inmate John Turscak at the medium-security Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Tucson, Arizona, in November.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Lynnette Kimmins ruled on Wednesday that though Turscak is entitled to represent himself, he must still be granted “advisory/standby counsel” and “reasonable access to ‘law books, witnesses, or other tools to prepare a defense,'” according to NBC News.
The trial date set for next month was also moved to August 20, with a deadline of August 2 for Turscak to make a plea agreement.

Federal prosecutors said Turscak told them he had been thinking about assaulting Chauvin for about a month because the former officer was such a high-profile inmate.
Turscak was charged with attempted murder, assault with intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury, according to federal prosecutors.
He also allegedly told federal prosecutors that he chose the day of the attack — the day after Thanksgiving, known as “Black Friday” — to symbolize the Black Lives Matter movement and the “Black Hand” symbol of the Mexican Mafia. According to a criminal complaint, Turscak told corrections officers that he would have killed Chauvin had they not responded so quickly.
Turscak was scheduled to be released from prison on June 4, 2026, before the attack.
The Tucson prison is notorious for poor security and staffing issues.
Chauvin was the officer filmed kneeling on George Floyd during his fatal interaction with police. His death caused nationwide Black Lives Matter riots throughout the summer of 2020.
Chauvin is currently serving simultaneous 21-year sentences for violating Floyd’s civil rights and second-degree murder.

Under the new Title IX rules from the U.S. Department of Education, schools cannot discriminate “based on sex stereotypes, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics.”
The changes, which go into effect on August 1 — just in time for the new school year, require institutions “to take prompt and effective action when notified of conduct that reasonably may constitute sex discrimination in their education programs or activities.”
Those who do not comply will lose federal funding.
The lawsuits have been filed by Republican Attorneys General from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.
All of the AGs are members of the Republican Attorneys General Association.
Alaska, Kansas, Utah, and Wyoming sued the Department of Education on Tuesday, accusing it of trying to “politicize our country’s educational system to conform to the radical ideological views of the Biden administration and its allies.”
The complaint notes that teachers, coaches, and school officials will be forced to “acknowledge, affirm, and validate students’ ‘gender identities’ regardless of the speakers’ own religious beliefs on the matter in violation of the First Amendment.”
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall accused Biden of using federal funding to force radical gender ideology on red states.
“Since taking office, Joe Biden has brazenly attempted to use federal funding to force radical gender ideology onto states that reject it at the ballot box,” Attorney General Marshall said in a statement. “Now our schoolchildren are the target. The threat is that if Alabama’s public schools and universities do not conform, then the federal government will take away our funding. Rest assured, Biden will not be successful.”
Attorney General Marshall continued, “Alabama parents do not share the Biden Administration’s goal of genderlessness in our schools. They remember what happened in Loudon County, Virginia, and in other schools across the country when governments sacrificed the needs and concerns of every female student to accommodate a few males. That is why Alabamians have supported laws that protect girls’ sports and girls’ bathrooms, as well as laws that prohibit gender ideology from being taught in the classrooms of our youngest pupils.”
“I am pleased to be among the first to challenge this ill-conceived rule that would infringe on the constitutional rights of students, parents, faculty, and the State of Alabama itself.” The attorney general concluded, “This rule highlights Biden’s seemingly endless cascade of failures when it comes to looking out for everyday Americans. I expect the rule to be struck down swiftly.”

New information reveals that the spate of 57 cases at the Pilsen migrant shelter can be traced back to a one year-old boy who had only received one of the two vital vaccines.
The majority of the cases — 72 percent — were among unvaccinated people, the CDC said.
The report cites overcrowding at the center for the rampant spread, with 500 people said to be crammed into a single room.
The first patient had arrived in the US less than five months before he became ill. He had received one dose of the MMR vaccine five weeks prior to his rash.
He had no recent travel history or known exposure to measles, and was taken to the hospital on February 27.
The young child who was infected has now recovered, but it is unclear how many migrants were exposed to it at the shelter.
Chicago Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez, who represents the neighborhood where the shelter is located, told NewsNation in March, “Right now, with this potential exposure to a rapidly spreading virus such as measles, it’s critical to have an isolation plan.”
The alderman continued, “People need to be in isolation while they are being tested and will learn more of the assessment while people are sheltering in place, and we will wait for the results of the tests.”
“This is, unfortunately, a process that is too long when you have 1,800 people (in the shelter),” Sigcho-Lopez said. “I recognize the process that has been made, but given how quickly this virus is spreading, we need to get people isolated.
“I think what we want from the governor is the commitment to better protocols so we can work toward better conditions and prevent cases like this.”

Tatyana Warrick, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Administration, told The Associated Press in an email Friday that workers had removed the plants, but that her agency couldn’t determine if they were marijuana or hemp. Both are forms of cannabis, but only marijuana has the compound that gets people high.
Warrick didn’t respond to questions about how the plants might have made it into the garden.
University of Wisconsin-Madison botanist Shelby Ellison, who examined the plants for WMTV before they were removed, told the station that they were cannabis plants. But she told The Associated Press on Friday that she couldn’t say for certain whether they were marijuana or hemp.
She said there were dozens of the plants in the garden, suggesting someone planted them intentionally.
“It was just a large number of plants for it to be anything accidental,” Ellison said.
Marijuana, in any form, is illegal in Wisconsin.

The activists were convicted of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act and “conspiracy against rights” for a sit-in protest at the Surgi-Clinic in Washington, D.C.
Three activists were sentenced on Tuesday, and four more were sentenced on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Jonathan Darnel, Herb Geraghty, Jean Marshall, and Joan Bell were all sentenced to prison. Darnel got 34 months in prison, Geraghty got 27 months, Marshall got 24 months, and Bell got 27 months. The sentences followed Tuesday’s sentencing of Lauren Handy to 57 months in prison, as well as John Hinshaw (21 months) and William Goodman (27 months).
During the protest, the pro-life protesters sang songs, prayed, locked arms in front of the facility’s staff entrance, and attached themselves with ropes and chains to block doors inside the building.
“As evidenced by today’s sentencings, the FBI and our judicial system will not tolerate the obstruction of civil rights,” said David Sundberg of the FBI Washington Field Office. “The FBI will continue to investigate FACE Act violations in all jurisdictions, so patients and providers can exercise their right to receive or provide lawful reproductive health care without the threat of violence or intimidation.”
In 2022, Handy, obtained a box containing 115 aborted fetuses from outside the Surgi-Center. Five of them appeared to be within the 26-32 week range, which is typically considered far enough along to survive outside the womb.
Last week, the remains of five infants were delivered to DC Metro police in a condition consistent with partial birth abortion or infanticide.

Handy and other anti-abortion activists called on the District of Columbia to investigate if any of the babies had been born alive, but the city refused. Partial-birth abortion remains against the law in the district.
Ashan Benedict, D.C. police’s executive assistant chief of police, said during a press conference that they appeared to have been aborted “in accordance with D.C. law [and] there doesn’t seem to be anything criminal in nature about that except for how they got into this house.” The department refused to order autopsies to confirm the claim.
The clinic is run by Dr. Cesare Santangelo, who was captured on video by Live Action News in 2013 saying that he does not provide life-saving care for viable, premature babies born after a failed abortion.

The travel advisory, issued on Friday, warned U.S. citizens to “stay alert in locations frequented by tourists, including Pride celebrations and venues frequented by LGBTQI+ persons.”
“Due to the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations, or violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests, the Department of State advises U.S. citizens overseas to exercise increased caution,” the warning urged. “The Department of State is aware of the increased potential for foreign terrorist organization-inspired violence against LGBTQI+ persons and events and advises U.S. citizens overseas to exercise increased caution.”
The department also urged travelers to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to “receive information and alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency overseas.”
The Hill reports, “a State Department spokesperson declined to comment on whether the advisory was preceded by a specific event or threat made against the LGBTQ community.”
“The U.S. Department of State has no higher priority than the safety and security of U.S. citizens overseas,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We take seriously our commitment to provide U.S. citizens with clear, timely, and reliable information about every country in the world so they can make informed travel decisions.”
The FBI and State Department warned of the potential for terrorist attacks on Pride celebrations in the U.S. last month.
“FTO efforts to commit or inspire violence against holiday celebrations, including Pride celebrations or LGBTQIA+-related venues, are compounded by the current heightened threat environment in the United States and other western countries,” the agencies said in a joint advisory.
“FTOs and their supporters have previously promoted anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric and targeted LGBTQIA+ related events or venues for attacks.”

Republicans who supported the bill argued that they were working to help mothers cover the costs associated with pregnancy and delivery.
However, Kelly claimed that the bill was a “blatant attempt by extreme politicians in the Legislature to take more control over women and their families’ personal, private medical decisions.”
In a press release about the veto, Kelly wrote, “This divisive legislation has broad and sweeping implications that undermine the will of the majority of Kansans who voted overwhelmingly in 2022 to protect the constitutional rights of women to make decisions about pregnancy. This is another blatant attempt by extreme politicians in the Legislature to take more control over women and their families’ personal, private medical decisions.”
The governor claimed that helping women afford to carry babies to term would “go against the will” of those who support abortions.
“Kansans already made it very clear that they don’t want lawmakers involved in personal matters,” the press release continued. “It’s time we listen to them. As I have said before, I refuse to sign legislation that goes against the will of the majority of Kansans who voted on August 2, 2022.”
The Associated Press noted, “The Legislature has long had supermajorities that oppose abortion and GOP lawmakers this year overrode Kelly’s vetoes of four other measures backed by anti-abortion groups.”
“Now she won’t allow women to have the potential for additional child support,” Jeanne Gawdun, a lobbyist for Kansans for Life, the state’s most politically influential anti-abortion group, told the AP. “This will not deter those of us who actually have compassion for women in difficult situations.”

Last June, Target faced a major boycott for offering Pride-themed products from a Satanic designer with violent messaging and “tuck-friendly” women’s bathing suits.
In a press release on their website, Target said they will offer “a collection of products including adult apparel and home and food and beverage items, curated based on consumer feedback.”
“The collection will be available on Target.com and in select stores, based on historical sales performance,” the press release continued.
The retail giant noted that it continues to support LGBTQIA+ organizations year-round, including Human Rights Campaign, Family Equality, and more.

In July 2023, seven Republican Attorney Generals sent a letter to Target warning that their Pride month displays may have violated state laws that “protect children from harmful content meant to sexualize them and prohibit gender transitions of children.”
“This year, Target reportedly promoted and sold products in our states that included, among other products, LGBT-themed onesies, bibs, and overalls, t-shirts labeled ‘Girls Gays Theys;’ ‘Pride Adult Drag Queen Katya’ (which depicts a male dressed in female ‘drag’); and girls’ swimsuits with ‘tuck-friendly construction’ and ‘extra crotch coverage’ for male genitalia,” the letter said. “Target also included merchandise by the self-declared ‘Satanist-Inspired’ brand Abprallen, which is known for designs that glorify violence. These designs include the phrases ‘We Bash Back’ with a heart-shaped mace in the trans-flag colors, ‘Transphobe Collector’ with a skull, and ‘Homophobe Headrest’ with skulls beside a pastel guillotine. Target also sold products with antiChristian designs, such as pentagrams, horned skulls, and other Satanic products. One such design included the phrase ‘Satan Respects Pronouns’ with a horned ram representing Baphomet—a half-human, half-animal, hermaphrodite worshiped by the occult.”
After news of Target’s extremist Pride campaign went viral, a conservative boycott caused the company’s stock prices to plummet by 16 percent.
The Target boycott began shortly after Bud Light was hit with one for partnering with transgender influencer and activist Dylan Mulvaney.

Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden released the final investigative report regarding the babies, two boys and two girls, on April 30.
Police were sent to the former home of Alexis Aldamir, 69, in November 2022 after her brother called 9-1-1 to report that they had seen the dead babies while cleaning out the house.
The district attorney’s office explained, “In all, four babies were discovered that day. All were frozen solid. All were found in shoe boxes wrapped in tin foil. Two were male and two were female.”
“All of the babies were full term, which means they were determined to be between 37 and 40 weeks of gestational age. All four had their umbilical cords attached and the two females had their placentas attached,” the report continued. “DNA tests concluded that the babies were full siblings.”
There is no test available to determine how long the babies were frozen. It also remains unknown if they were born alive.
“The autopsy found no signs of internal or external trauma and no evidence of obvious injuries. There were no signs of food, or milk, or formula inside the babies’ stomachs,” the DA’s office explained.
The medical examiner ruled the cause of death for all the babies to be “undetermined.”
Aldamir was located in a residential healthcare facility, and DNA testing confirmed that she was the mother.
However, the DA does not believe she is fit to stand trial. The father of the babies died in 2011.
“In late 2022, investigators visited the healthcare facility where Aldamir now lives. They questioned her about the babies found in her apartment. Throughout the interview Aldamir appeared confused and demonstrated a lack of understanding about where she was and who she was speaking to. As a result, she was unable to provide investigators with any significant information,” the press release explains. “To further assess Aldamir’s cognitive ability, investigators reviewed publicly available probate court records and spoke with a lawyer for Aldamir. The information obtained suggests strongly that Aldamir would be unlikely to stand trial.”
During the investigation, investigators found that the pair had one other baby who was given up for adoption.
“This investigation, which is one of the most complex, unusual and perplexing that this office has ever encountered, is now complete. While we have some answers, there are many elements of this case that will likely never be answered,” Hayden said.
“We will never know exactly where or when the four babies found in Alexis Aldamir’s apartment were born. We will never know if the four babies were born alive, and we will never know exactly what happened to them. We will never know how Alexis Aldamir concealed her pregnancies, or why she chose to do so,” he continued.

Trump is on trial in NYC over an alleged $130,000 payment to Daniels to keep her quiet during the 2016 election — which he has denied.
On Thursday night, Avenatti tweeted, “Keith Davidson is lying. After I confronted her w/ her own text msgs, Daniels admitted to me in early 2019 that she & Davidson had extorted Trump in Oct. 2016 – it was a shakedown. This was one of the many reasons I fired her as a client in Feb. 2019.”

Davidson testified in court on Thursday with his version of the events surrounding the supposed “hush money” payment Trump allegedly made to Daniels in an effort to keep her from speaking out about their alleged affair.
Davidson told prosecutor Joshua Steinglass that he worked out the “hush money” deal with Trump’s then-lawyer Michael Cohen just days before the election in 2016, but claimed Trump never signed the paperwork.
According to Davidson, the paperwork included an “unenforceable” $1 million penalty for breaching the agreement.
Speaking to the New York Post from jail earlier this month, Avenatti said he is in contact with Trump’s legal team and was willing to speak out against his former client.
Avenatti is currently being held at Terminal Island, a minimum-security federal prison in Los Angeles, serving a 19-year sentence for a slate of federal crimes that include extortion, tax evasion, fraud, and embezzlement.
“I’d be more than happy to testify, I don’t know that I will be called to testify, but I have been in touch with Trump’s defense for the better part of year,” Avenatti said.
The Post reports that Avenatti would not provide any additional details about the discussion, but an unnamed source “close to Trump” confirmed that the discussions are taking place.
Avenatti used to be one of Trump’s loudest critics, but he has seemingly dramatically changed his position.
“There’s no question [the trial] is politically motivated because they’re concerned that he may be reelected,” Avenatti told the newspaper. “If the defendant was anyone other than Donald Trump, this case would not have been brought at this time, and for the government to attempt to bring this case and convict him in an effort to prevent tens of millions of people from voting for him, I think it’s just flat out wrong, and atrocious.”
“I’m really bothered by the fact that Trump, in my view, has been targeted. Four cases is just over the top and I think there’s a significant chance that this is going to all backfire and is going to propel him to the White House,” Avenatti added.
The former lawyer continued, “Depending on what happens, this could constitute pouring jet fuel on his campaign.”
“Stormy Daniels is going to say whatever she believes is going to assist Stormy Daniels and putting more money in her pocket,” Avenatti said. “If Stormy Daniels lips are moving, she’s lying for money.”
Avenatti explained that he feels like he and Trump have both been targeted by politically motivated prosecutions.
“I think that we were both targeted by the justice system,” Avenatti said. “There’s a lot of people on the left that were very concerned about my potential rise within the Democratic Party and my potential rise in Democratic politics. And the fact that I was not someone that was easily controlled.”
The imprisoned former lawyer also claimed he is not fishing for a pardon in case Trump wins a second term.
“I’m not saying any of this because I’m seeking a pardon,” Avenatti told The Post. “I wish I would have never met Stormy Daniels. I should have left her where I found her.”

The CDC and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have confirmed that traces of Bird Flu have also been found in commercial milk — but claim it is safe for humans to drink anyway.
The Hill reports, “Scientists reported that in mid-March, about 24 cats were fed raw milk at a Texas farm before the cows were known to be sick. One day after the cows showed visible signs of illness, the cats also became sick, and one to two days later, more than half of the cats grew ill and died.”
“In early March 2024, similar clinical cases were reported in dairy cattle in southwestern Kansas and northeastern New Mexico; deaths of wild birds and domestic cats were also observed within affected sites in the Texas panhandle,” the CDC wrote in the new report.
“In >1 dairy farms in Texas, deaths occurred in domestic cats fed raw colostrum and milk from sick cows that were in the hospital parlor. Antemortem clinical signs in affected cats were depressed mental state, stiff body movements, ataxia, blindness, circling, and copious oculonasal discharge. Neurologic exams of affected cats revealed the absence of menace reflexes and pupillary light responses with a weak blink response.”
The scientists wrote, “This case series differs from most previous reports of IAV infection in bovids, which indicated cattle were inapparently infected or resistant to infection.”
“We describe an H5N1 strain of IAV in dairy cattle that resulted in apparent systemic illness, reduced milk production, and abundant virus shedding in milk. The magnitude of this finding is further emphasized by the high death rate (≈50%) of cats on farm premises that were fed raw colostrum and milk from affected cows”
The FDA is warning against humans consuming raw milk.
“The FDA has a long-standing recommendation to consumers not to consume raw milk (milk that has not been pasteurized). Because of the limited information available about the possible transmission of H5N1 virus via raw milk, the FDA continues to recommend that industry does not manufacture or sell raw milk or raw milk products, including raw milk cheese, made with milk from cows showing symptoms of illness, including those infected with avian influenza viruses or exposed to those infected with avian influenza viruses.”
Dairy cows in Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and South Dakota have tested positive for the Type A H5N1 virus.
