Sherriffs Arrest Over 50 People Involved in Violent Street Takeover In California

It’s about time!

Law enforcement across the nation is stepping up their game against wild street takeovers. Although their efforts are not nearly enough, the recent crackdown offers hope.

Just look at the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office, which finally took meaningful action by arresting over 50 suspects at one of these lawless gatherings. It’s a step in the right direction, but they need to do much more.

Yahoo News reports,

According to KCAL, this move was made to arrest people associated with the attack on a deputy who responded to a street takeover last month.

When he arrived, like we’ve seen so many times before, the crowd surrounded his patrol car and attacked it.

Apparently, this time the sheriff had enough and they dropped the hammer once they felt they could scoop all the suspects up in one swoop. Once the dust settled, 56 individuals were in handcuffs.

The report claims the bust was at an illegal “car meetup.” We’re not entirely sure what that means, because oftentimes what we gearheads call a meet and what the mainstream media calls a “meetup” can be two very different things.

This bust was codenamed “Operation Consequences” which is just great. There really should be more consequences for the street takeover crowd. For a long time, they’ve been allowed to engage in illegal activities in California and other places with few repercussions.

While some attempted to dismiss the takeover events as juvenile behavior, this appears to be a poor excuse and justification.

At last, public opinion is shifting towards endorsing a harsher crackdown on these takeovers and their participants.

According to media reports, the bust was made on June 1 at a vacant lot on private property, but authorities would not disclose where it was made.

The San Bernadino Sheriff’s Office should be commended for making an example out of these suspects.

Mayor Eric Adams on Grand Jury’s Decision To Investigate Campaign Corruption: ‘I Don’t Know, I’m Not a Lawyer’

Mayor Eric Adams/ Credit Robert Miller

Mayor Eric Adams, in a typical display of arrogance and deflection, claimed he had “no idea” about the grand jury proceedings investigating his shady campaign fundraising activities.

“I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer. I’m Eric Adams — the mayor! Ex-cop!” The mayor dodged, addressing reporters as he made a scene at the 39th Annual 116th Street Festival in East Harlem on Saturday.

The New York Post reports,

“No idea. No idea. No idea,” he added as his team shot down further questions from the media.

Adams, 63, arrived two hours late to the Latin Festival just one day after The Post reported that the grand jury was reviewing evidence in the FBI probe — likely for the purpose of issuing subpoenas in the case.

At least one person connected to the mayor was served a subpoena linked to the investigation, sources said.

Adams maintained that he was unaware of the recent developments, even though he has often admitted to being an active reader of The Post.

“They don’t tell me stuff. Let it follow the process … Speak to the counsel. The counsel will explain to you the normal process,” he said.

The mayor — in a jolly mood despite the looming investigation — did not speak again on the topic before taking the stage for a few brief minutes.

His former rival, Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa, didn’t hold back on the scandal-plagued mayor.

“The walls are closing in,” declared the Republican 2021 mayoral candidate at the festival, signaling Adams’ impending doom.

“Swagger man has no plan to get out of this. He’s not going to the White House. He originally thought he was. He may be going to the big house in chains and shackles.

“You have people in the administration who may have decided it’s time to become a confidential informer. Cause they don’t want to go down on the ship. That’s how the feds get you. They get the little fish but they want the whale. And everyone knows they want Eric Adams.”

— Curtis Sliwa (@CurtisSliwa) June 9, 2024

Sliwa referenced rumors that a former City Hall aid — who was suspended for inappropriate conduct amid the federal probe — had flipped on Adams and was working as an FBI informant.

Ex-director of protocol in the Office for International Affairs Rana Abbasova’s New Jersey home was also raided by the FBI as part of the federal corruption investigation.

Adam’s top campaign fundraiser Brianna Suggs and former Turkish Airlines executive Cenk Ocal, who worked on the mayor’s transition team, were also subjected to home searches.

“All these people are not gonna protect him. They’re gonna give him up,” Sliwa added.

The FBI is investigating whether Adams’ staff interacted with the Turkish government to steer foreign donations into his campaign and if he ordered the FDNY to expedite permits for a new Turkish Consulate that had previously failed safety inspections.

As of now, neither Adams nor any member of his campaign has been formally implicated in any wrongdoing.

Boxer Ryan Garcia ARRESTED in Los Angeles on Felony Vandalism Charges – After Predicting His Arrest in June 3 Months Ago (VIDEO)

Los Angeles police have arrested Ryan Garcia for felony vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills.

TMZ reports the boxer was arrested on Saturday afternoon after apparently damaging hotel property, including his room.

Garcia predicted his arrest three months ago. Garcia said he would be arrested on June 8th. He was arrested on June 7th.

The Daily Mail reports,

TMZ claims that Garcia was ‘seemingly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs’ but cooperated with authorities during his arrest.

The 25-year-old beat Devin Haney earlier this year but his erratic conduct in the buildup led many to question if he was mentally stable enough to fight. He failed a doping test after his surprise victory.

TMZ reported earlier this week that Garcia was checked out by police at same hotel after a call from a family member that was concerned for his wellbeing. Offers apparently determined that he was fine and it was the end of the matter.

But his arrest on Saturday in California is the latest concerning instalment for Garcia.

Garcia has previously come forward with distressing claims regarding elite child trafficking networks and troubling personal encounters.

In December 2023, his divorce was finalized from Andrea Celina shortly after the arrival of their second child.

As the fighter prepared for his April fight with Haney, he raised serious questions about his mental well-being by posting a series of alarming and erratic messages online, one of which claimed he had suffered a slashed throat.

Garcia also claimed to have been raped at an early age by a family member, while alleging that he was tied up in the woods by ‘the elites’ and forced to watch child rape.

Amid concerns over his state of mind, he came in almost four pounds overweight for his grudge match against WBC super-lightweight champion Haney, meaning he did not collect that title despite his victory on the night.

Despite appearing to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, the 25-1 fighter complied with authorities peacefully.

St. Louis Couple Who Displayed Guns at BLM Protesters To Protect Themselves Have Their Records Expunged

Patricia McCloskey and husband Mark/ UPI

A judge has cleared the misdemeanor convictions of a St. Louis couple who displayed firearms to protect their home against Black Lives Matter protesters outside their residence in 2020.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey are now seeking the return of their firearms.

In January, the attorneys petitioned for their convictions to be erased. Judge Joseph P. Whyte granted the expungement on Wednesday, noting that the process aims to provide rehabilitated individuals with a fresh start, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson says Trump wants to intervene in case of St. Louis couple who pointed guns at protesters – The Washington Post https://t.co/UGViPMFHSo

— Jacob Heilbrunn (@JacobHeilbrunn) July 15, 2020

The New York Post reports,

Attorneys Mark and Patricia McCloskey filed a request in January to have the convictions wiped away. Judge Joseph P. Whyte wrote in an order Wednesday that the purpose of an expungement is to give people who have rehabilitated themselves a second chance, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

City prosecutors and police opposed the expungements.

Immediately after the judge’s ruling, Mark McCloskey demanded that the city return the two guns seized as part of his 2021 guilty plea to misdemeanor assault.

Republican Gov. Mike Parson pardoned the couple weeks after the plea.

“It’s time for the city to cough up my guns,” he told the Post-Dispatch.

If it doesn’t, he said, he’ll file a lawsuit.

The McCloskeys maintain that they felt threatened by the protesters who were walking by their home in June of 2020 on their way to the mayor’s house nearby.

The protest stemmed from George Floyd’s controversial passing, which sparked riots and protests all across America.

It was one of hundreds of demonstrations around the country after the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

The couple also said the group was trespassing on a private street.

McCloskey came out of his home with an AR-15-style rifle, and Patricia displayed a semiautomatic pistol.

The Hill Fires Briahna Joy Gray After Her Disrespectful Behavior While Interviewing Sister of Hostage Held by Hamas Terrorists

Briahna Joy Gray-The Hill/ YouTube

Activist Briahna Joy Gray was fired from The Hill after she was caught rolling her eyes while interviewing the sister of an Israeli hostage taken by Hamas.

The Daily Mail reports,

‘It finally happened. The Hill has fired me,’ Gray said on X on Thursday alongside an image of her notice of termination from the outlet.

She added: ‘There should be no doubt that @RisingHill has a clear pattern of suppressing speech — particularly when it’s critical of the state of Israel.’

Her firing follows social media backlash after she received criticism over how she handled Yarden Gonen, the sister of Israeli hostage Romi Gonen, on October 7.

In a display typical of the socialist left, Bernie Sanders’ ex-press secretary, known for her socialist ties, condescendingly rolled her eyes and rudely cut off Yarden when she expressed the hope that Gray believes the women who have accused Hamas of sexual assault.

‘I really hope that you, specifically, will believe women when they say that they got hurt,’ Gonen said.

The political commentator cut in, saying: ‘All right thanks for joining. Stick around.’

Throughout the interview, Gray tried to focus on Israel’s actions in Gaza, while Yarden repeatedly stated she did not want to speak politics and only wanted to raise awareness about her sister and other hostages.

Yarden said: ‘I am here to talk about my sister; please, help me spread her story. Help me make people understand what she is going through as a woman in 2024.’

Online critics are now trying to cancel Gray, accusing her of blatant anti-Semitism and cold-heartedness.

Carly Pildis of the Anti-Defamation League condemned her, stating: “Gray’s sneering and eye-rolling at the suffering of Israelis is a clear act of dehumanization.”

‘She cannot bear to witness Israelis as human and deserving of sympathy. My global Jewish community suffers the blowback of antisemitism Briahna has propagated.’

It is no secret that Gray believes Israel, in its current form, should no longer exist as a state, and she has spoken freely about her views on Israel.

Someday, we’re going to look back at this clip of protesters begging the Vice President to stop beheading Palestinian babies, while Kimmel jokes they’re “ruining his flow” while cueing the band to play the protestors off, and wonder: how could people have been this cruel. https://t.co/gAelKWNaGC

— Briahna Joy Gray (@briebriejoy) June 6, 2024

In a panel at last month’s Dissident Dialogue festival, Gray said: “When Hamas talks about eliminating Israel, it’s not talking about killing all Jews.”.

‘It’s about eliminating the idea of a Jewish state — ending a Jewish state, ending an ethno-nationalist state and having a state more like what we have in the United States of America.’

After the panel, as reported by the New Republic, Gray told the moderator: ‘This is the most Islamophobic, racist audience I’ve ever seen.

She added: ‘It’s disgusting. I hope someone drops a bomb on this entire building.’

Yikes. This is what they mean when someone says, “eating their own.”

As California Faces Massive Deficit, Newsom Proposes Reducing Funding For Police, Prisons, And Public Safety

Governor Newsome/ X.com

In an irrational move that defies common sense, Governor Gavin Newsom, D-Calif., has proposed severe cuts to essential public safety budgets, targeting prisons and law enforcement.

This comes as California battles a huge budget deficit. Instead of addressing financial responsibility, Newsom is doubling down on his radical climate agenda, prioritizing so-called “equity” over the safety and well-being of Californians.

Fox News reports,

The California Democrat’s proposed budget, released in May, notes that “difficult decisions” are necessary to address the estimated $27.6 billion deficit, which is projected to continue for years to come. It includes a $97 million cut to trial court operations, $10 million to the Department of Justice’s Division of Law Enforcement and more than $80 million to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

A Newsom spokesperson initially told Fox News Digital that there were “no cuts to law enforcement.”

“The budget proposes numerous ways to make government more efficient and reduce costs for taxpayers, including cuts on inmate spending. Since Governor Newsom took office in 2019, the state has made record investments in law enforcement, including $1.1 billion to tackle crime, support police, and hold criminals accountable,” the spokesperson said.

Officials from the Department of Finance acknowledged, however, that the state’s proposed budget for Justice was reduced by 1.6%.

“What’s happening in California is just the greatest disrespect of taxpayer’s resources in the history of America,” Florida’s chief financial officer, Jimmy T. Patronis, told Fox News Digital. “They’re in a panic. They’re in a free fall. They’re looking for money to make up this enormous budget deficit they’ve got right now.”

The San Francisco Centre saw retailers such as Aldo, J.Crew, and Madewell close their stores this year alone. According to a report, major stores have been leaving the city and malls with vacancies in Northern California. Zara is expected to close by 2025, following Macy’s and The North Face.

According to the latest crime statistics, there have been 8,686 thefts in San Francisco since January 1, not including 1,962 burglaries and 2,298 motor vehicle thefts.

The $80 million cut from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is intended to eliminate 4,600 beds across 13 prisons. Newsom also proposed slashing law enforcement training and cutting $4.4 million from county probation departments.

The California State Legislature, meanwhile, is pushing against some of the proposed cuts regarding public safety, particularly a $15 million decrease from the DOJ, Department of Finance deputy director for external affairs H.D. Palmer told Fox News Digital.

“These proposed reductions are unallocated reductions, meaning that it would be up to the department as to how they would be implemented,” Palmer said.

Legislators have until June 15 to approve the budget, which takes effect in July.

Chuck Schumer Repeatedly Booed While Speaking at Israel Parade in NYC (VIDEO)

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was booed at Sunday’s Israel parade in New York City.

In the ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza, Schumer has faced backlash despite being the highest-ranking Jewish official in the U.S.

Newsweek reports,

As the senator was being introduced to speak during a parade for Israel in New York City on Sunday afternoon, boos could be heard erupting from the crowd, videos show.

Videos shared to X, formerly Twitter, show the booing continue as Schumer chants, “Bring them home,” in reference to the remaining hostages still being held in Gaza. About half of the Israeli hostages were freed during a temporary ceasefire in November.

The Israel Files on X criticized the New York lawmaker on Sunday while sharing a video of Schumer being booed.

— The Israel Files (@theisraelfiles) June 2, 2024

Israel Files X also hilariously pointed out that Schumer couldn’t be bothered to pronounce the name of one of the hostages correctly.

“Rough day for Senator Charles Schumer at the Israel Day Parade today,” The Israel Files wrote. “Participants booed Schumer en masse and held up signs like this one about Schumer turning his back on the Jewish People.

To make matters worse for himself, Schumer completely mispronounced the name of Israeli hostage Sagui Dekel-Chen. Mark my words: President Biden and Senator Schumer are completely underestimating Jewish sentiment right now, and unless they seriously change course they’ll have quite an election season.”

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, over 36,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 76,000 wounded in Israel’s monthslong offensive in Gaza.

Despite not separating civilians from combatants, the Hamas-run ministry says at least two-thirds of those killed were children or women.

Back in March, the New York Democrat outrageously called for new elections in Israel and labeled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an “obstacle to peace.” Netanyahu rightly dismissed Schumer’s delusional criticism, calling the comments “ridiculous.” This goes to show the audacity of Democrats overstepping in foreign affairs they clearly don’t understand.

Yahoo News reports,

Mohamed died from multiple gunshot wounds Thursday night outside an apartment complex on Blaisdell Avenue South.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has not identified Mohamed as the shooter.

However, police have previously said the suspect died at the scene shortly after ambushing and killing Minneapolis Police Officer Jamal Mitchell in the street.

Mohamed was convicted of felony burglary in 2008. Court records show he had an active warrant for his arrest.

Mohamed was convicted on federal charges in 2016 of being a felon in possession of ammunition, according to court records.

The shooting happened just after 5 p.m. Thursday night on the 2200 block of Blaisdell Avenue South.

The shooting took place at an apartment complex and two additional people were injured.  As a result of multiple gunshot wounds, Mitchell, 32, passed away.

An additional person was wounded after being shot outside the apartment complex.

As police were responding to the shooting, Mitchell was ambushed while trying to help a potential victim.

“What I can tell you is that Officer Mitchell was attempting to assist the individual that shot him,” BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said at a press conference Thursday night.

As a result of the shooting, both an officer and a firefighter were injured. They have since been discharged from the hospital.

Sharika Soal: Mayor Eric Adams Was Right; Releasing Criminals Back Into Communities Is Destroying The Foundation Of America

Mayor Eric Adams was right.

Mayor Eric Adams appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show in 2022 and told the host that he felt the current bail system was a catch-and-release failure.

He stated, ” This catch, repeat, release system is just destroying the foundation of our country.” he then goes even deeper to say that the current system is why Democrats are losing black and brown voters in mass.

We cannot talk our way out of this. We have to be real about what people are facing in the streets.”

When we look at the state of New York just a little over two years later, nothing has changed, and I would confidently say that things have gotten worse.

Aside from the mugshots revealing that white supremacy isn’t the cause of crime in black and brown communities, most of these crimes include sexual harassment and violent assaults from a repeat offender.

A Border Belt Independent report from February went into great detail about what “bail reform” is doing to law enforcement after a man who was charged with murder was released on bond.

The practice of allowing murder suspects to post bail has been a source of debate across the country and in Robeson County, which has the highest violent crime rate in North Carolina.

At least six of the roughly 66 people who were charged with first- or second-degree murder in 2023 in cases investigated by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office were out on pre-trial release as of mid-January, an analysis by the Border Belt Independent shows.

Locklear made bond for a robbery committed in March of 2022 and was released in May of 2023 for the November 2022 first-degree murder charges.

Locklear was one of three arrested after a Red Springs man was found dead in a ditch on Nov. 29, 2022.

Law enforcement aren’t the only people dealing with the fallout of bail reform for violent criminals. American voters are starting to realize trying to save people based on their skin tone or financial status is creating a world where criminals who should be behind bars are now free to kill or assault their loved ones.

Just last week, former ‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Wactor was shot and killed while trying to stop robbers who were trying to steal parts of his car. The actor’s fiancee took to social media to express her frustration and grief at the reality that criminals who should be behind bars are causing people to lose their lives.

BBC Calls Latest Trump Trial “Weakest Criminal Case” Says No One Is Watching A Circus With Manipulated Acts

President Trump enters court in the Democrats’ latest lawfare case in New York City. Democrats hope to keep Trump off the campaign trial and send him to prison over a yet undefined crime.

The people on the other side of the pond are noticing what’s happening to Donald Trump.

Today, the BBC published an article detailing a high-stakes trial that seems straight out of an American blockbuster. It is filled with sensational details and features a former president as the defendant.

The BBC reports that there’s hardly a more circus-like courtroom scenario imaginable, with Donald Trump, one of the world’s most powerful people and now a candidate facing allegations of an awkward sexual encounter with a porn actress.

They boil down the ongoing proceedings as the “weakest criminal case” for a booking-keeping offense.

As Trump trial hurtles towards verdict, are Americans paying attention? https://t.co/QSyBGhH9rN

— BBC News (UK) (@BBCNews) May 26, 2024

The BBC reports,

We can add to all that the widely held view that the Manhattan trial is by far the weakest of the four criminal cases Donald Trump faces.

It is built on a bookkeeping offence – the alleged falsification of reimbursements to Michael Cohen – the man who paid off Stormy Daniels – as legal fees rather than as hush-money payments.

The case relies on what would ordinarily be a misdemeanour being elevated to the more serious category of felony because of the alleged attempt to improperly influence an election.

The BBC noted that most Americans have reported feeling “bored” or “angry” rather than interested in the trial. Polls conducted during the proceedings show similar trends. With the jury’s verdict approaching, pundits and pollsters who initially expected a major national moment in Manhattan’s criminal courtroom now believe the outcome, whichever way it goes, might be more of a letdown than a dramatic conclusion.

And yet, despite the weeks of testimony, the millions of pages of documents, and the ranks of live TV cameras assembled outside to record the history-making spectacle of the first criminal trial of a former US leader, the American public appears strangely detached.

In a recent YouGov/Yahoo News poll, just 16% of respondents said they’d been following the trial “very closely”, with even those who said they were taking a mild interest in proceedings coming in at only a third of those surveyed.

More Americans said the trial made them feel “bored” or “angry” than interested. Other polls taken during the trial to gauge attention being paid have found similar results.

At the end of their report asking whether Americans are watching the Trump trial, the BBC points out that the efforts to “get Trump” may be falling flat because the general public isn’t as “prudish” as detractors of Trump are hoping for.

There are some who see the public’s seeming indifference to the case as not as surprising as it may appear.

Firstly, Donald Trump is already a known quantity with a long history of courting outrage. Infamy is part of the brand and perceptions of whether he has committed wrongdoing divide on sharply political lines.

And secondly, the American voter is far less prudish than many assume, a point brought home by another sexual scandal from a different political age.

It’s a good sign when the BBC is noticing the charges against Trump are ridiculous.

Abortion Pills Classified as Controlled Substances After Louisiana Governor Signs Bill

Gov. Jeff Landry/X.com

Louisiana has taken a decisive step to protect the sanctity of life.

Recognizing the grave dangers posed by abortion-inducing medications, the state has rightfully classified them as controlled substances.

In a victory for the pro-life movement, Governor Jeff Landry, a staunch Republican, has taken a firm stand for the protection of innocent lives. He signed into law legislation that rightfully reclassifies misoprostol and mifepristone, a widely recognized two-step regimen used to prematurely end pregnancies, as Schedule IV drugs.

This action comes after the bill successfully navigated the state legislature earlier this week, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing battle to defend the rights of the unborn and uphold the values of conservative principles.

Requiring an abortion inducing drug to be obtained with a prescription and criminalizing the use of an abortion drug on an unsuspecting mother is nothing short of common sense. This bill protects women across Louisiana and I was proud to sign this bill into law today.

Thanks to… pic.twitter.com/WJEjuqlw2Y

— Governor Jeff Landry (@LAGovJeffLandry) May 24, 2024

CBS News reports,

The measure puts the drugs in the same category as opioids, depressants and other drugs that can be addictive, making them harder to obtain. Misoprostol and mifepristone are not classified as controlled substances by the federal government and can be used separately to treat other conditions.

Under the law, pregnant women are exempted from prosecution, but other people who possess the pills without a valid prescription face jail time and fines.

Ellie Schilling, an attorney in Louisiana who specializes in reproductive health law, told reporters that the bill will make it “incredibly difficult” to use the drugs for medically necessary purposes, and would lead to the government monitoring pregnant women and doctors who prescribe the medication.

In a statement Thursday, President Biden called the legislation “outrageous” and said it’s a “direct result of Trump overturning Roe v. Wade.”

“Donald Trump says that women should face some form of ‘punishment’ for accessing reproductive health care. We’re seeing that play out,” his statement said.

BREAKING: Louisiana’s Legislature votes to make abortion pills controlled dangerous substances under first-of-its-kind measure. https://t.co/aSgmOtIBex

— The Associated Press (@AP) May 23, 2024

The passing of the bill aligns with a time of anticipation among advocates and detractors of abortion as they await a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court regarding potential restrictions on access to mifepristone. The court appeared inclined to support the continued widespread availability of the drug, frustrating pro-life advocates.

Last year, more than 60% of abortions within the U.S. healthcare system were done through medication, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a research group that supports abortion rights.

Currently, Louisiana prohibits both medication and surgical abortions unless the mother’s life is at risk or the pregnancy is “medically futile.”

Liberal-Controlled NBC Says The George Floyd Effect Is Coming to An End

Four years ago, radical left-wing protests exploded nationwide after the controversial death of George Floyd.

A Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, was seen in a video restraining Floyd by kneeling on his back/neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds, leading to widespread outrage and lawlessness.

In a shocking turn of events, Democrat-controlled NBC published a story today with the headline,” George Floyd’s murder led to a national reckoning on policing, but efforts have stalled or reversed, “essentially calling the influence his death had over our legal system as fainting.

In the aftermath, Chauvin was convicted of murder and calls for a nationwide reckoning on issues related to racism and police violence reverberated in city after city. But in the years since then, some of those efforts at change, like the federal George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, have stalled.

In several states, calls to pass criminal justice reforms to address decadeslong racial disparities have stalled or been met with tough-on-crime rhetoric and policies.

For Floyd’s brother, Philonise Floyd, the initial calls for change after his brother’s death were touching.

“The fact that he was stolen from us. We still can’t get over that,” he said in an interview. “So many people, they felt the same pain all across the world.”

But as he talked about the lack of change and his inability to lobby Congress to pass the federal bill named after his brother, Philonise Floyd broke down in tears.

“It’s different. It is really like you don’t have the understanding of how you can sit there and witness that somebody murdered your brother and four years later, it still hasn’t been any change,” he said while weeping. “You’re still trying to pass the same law for your brother. And the city and the world stood with you, and we still haven’t gotten, like, any kind of change. What is it going to take?”

In recent years, many conservative states — and some progressive parts of the country — have passed tough-on-crime policies.

Going on right now… hundreds of lawmakers, lobbyists, and community leaders are at Atlanta’s Wild Hog Supper a day before the Georgia Legislature starts its 2023 session.

In Georgia, lawmakers have taken a bold stance by rolling back the soft-on-crime 2018 criminal justice reforms, a move previously championed by Republicans. This year, they’ve taken a necessary step forward by reinstating cash bail requirements for 30 additional crimes, ensuring that criminals face appropriate consequences.

While other states see the consequences of eliminating cash bail, in Georgia we’re keeping criminals accountable. Today we passed SB 63 that’ll require bail for violent offenses, stop unaccountable bail funds & keep violent illegal immigrants behind bars. https://t.co/KQkszhMLCK

Critics of tough-on-crime approaches point to Florida as ground zero for the new measures. There, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has championed and signed several bills into law related to police. Those measures include an “anti-rioting” law that may curtail protests, which is currently embroiled in a legal challenge at the Florida Supreme Court.

“We saw really unprecedented disorder and rioting throughout the summer of 2020, and we said that’s not going to happen here in the state of Florida,” DeSantis said before signing the bill into law in 2021.

In addition, there are two other laws on the horizon. One of them reins in the authority of police civilian review boards, ensuring they don’t overreach. The other mandates that individuals observing or filming first responders maintain a distance of 25 feet when requested.

Since his election in 2020, Republican state Rep. Tom Fabricio has been a staunch supporter of these measures, representing the interests of his constituents.

“We want to have Florida be a law-and-order state,” he said. “We don’t want abusive law and order. But we want more law and order, and I believe that’s what we’ve been able to provide to the Florida residents.”

While criminals ran through the streets of Chicago & NYC, Florida upheld the rule of law. I’m grateful for the members of #Hialeah law enforcement who keep our families safe. Families Of The Uvalde School Shooting Sue Meta, And Gunmaker

A video game maker and Instagram parent company, Meta, are being sued by victim’s families in connection with the Uvalde school shooting.

According to the lawsuits, the companies promoted deadly weapons to a generation of “socially vulnerable” young men, including the gunman, who was 18 years old at the time of the shooting.

The BBC reports,

The lawsuits contend that Meta and Activision “knowingly exposed” him to the gun he used at Uvalde and conditioned him to see it as the solution to his problems.

The lawsuits claim that Instagram, Activision and Daniel Defense have been “partnering…in a scheme that preys upon insecure, adolescent boys”, attorneys said in a news release.

“There is a direct line between the conduct of these companies and the Uvalde shooting,” the statement said.
“This three-headed monster knowingly exposed him to the weapon, conditioned him to see it as a tool to solve his problems and trained him to use it.”

According to lawsuits, the gunman had been playing Call of Duty, a war-based video game with a rifle similar to the one used in the shooting, since he was 15 years old.
The lawsuit says the gunman was “simultaneously” the subject of “aggressive marketing” by Daniel Defense, which targeted the teen with ads on Instagram.

“Instagram creates a connection between …an adolescent …and the gun and a gun company,” Josh Koskoff, the plaintiffs’ attorney, told the BBC’s US media partner CBS, on Friday. “And nobody exploited Instagram for this purpose more than Daniel Defense.”

CBS reported that an Activision spokesperson described the Uvalde shooting as “horrific and heartbreaking in every way,” and the company offered its “deepest sympathies” to the victims and their families.

“Millions of people around the world enjoy video games without turning to horrific acts”, the spokesman said.

Meta, Daniel Defense, and Activision have been contacted by the BBC for their comments.

Daniel Defense, a steadfast supporter of the Second Amendment, is currently facing lawsuits from a number of victim’s families. In a 2022 statement, the company firmly condemned these lawsuits as “frivolous” and “politically motivated.”

On Wednesday, families of the victims reached a $2m (£1.5m) settlement with the city of Uvalde.

More than 370 officers from various local, state and federal departments were at Robb Elementary during the attack.

It took police more than an hour to stop the gunman, who was barricaded inside adjoining classrooms.

As part of their legal action, the families also disclosed that they would be suing 92 individual officers from the state’s Department of Public Safety for “shocking and extensive failures” following the shooting.

Sharika Soal: Dear NAACP, You Have Become the Problem Not the Solution

Well, It’s time for another tough conversation.

According to its website, the NAACP prides itself on ending racial inequality for the betterment of the black community.

Their chief aim is to root out things that hold the black community back from success. If the organization were honest, they would realize it was not 1942.

Drop the “civil rights holier than thou act.” We have literal rapists and gangs in our race doing actual harm to the general public and our race.

25-year-old Shanquella Robinson was found dead a day after flying out on vacation to Cabo with her friends. What occurred at a Cabo villa is a mystery due to conflicting claims. After an ongoing investigation, friends are found to have lied about the cause of death. pic.twitter.com/runaiGBDHa

Does the NAACP understand the word “integrity?”  It appears they have none or are unfamiliar with what that entails anymore. The NACCP has long been a respected institution; for decades, the org has been known to put out credible and effective work with its advocacy.

Per the NAACP website History tab,

In 1908, a deadly race riot rocked the city of Springfield, eruptions of anti-black violence – particularly lynching – were horrifically commonplace, but the Springfield riot was the final tipping point that led to the creation of the NAACP. Appalled at this rampant violence, a group of white liberals that included Mary White Ovington and Oswald Garrison Villard (both the descendants of famous abolitionists), William English Walling and Dr. Henry Moscowitz issued a call for a meeting to discuss racial justice. Some 60 people, seven of whom were African American (including W. E. B. Du Bois, Ida B. Wells-Barnett, and Mary Church Terrell), signed the call, which was released on the centennial of Lincoln’s birth.

Echoing the focus of Du Bois’ Niagara Movement for civil rights, which began in 1905, NAACP aimed to secure for all people the rights guaranteed in the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the United States Constitution, which promised an end to slavery, provide equal protection of the law, and the right for all men to vote, respectively. Accordingly, the NAACP’s mission is to ensure the political, educational, equality of minority group citizens of States and eliminate race prejudice. The NAACP works to remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes.

Integrity would be using your platform for black women like Shanquella Robinson, who was viciously attacked while footing the bill for her ghetto black friends to go on vacation.

It was a vacation that ended her life, and as I sit here typing right now, not a single one of those black people who were seen attacking her has been called out by NAME by your org.

It doesn’t matter what race you are; Everyone can see how little black organizations such as NACCP actually care to discuss real issues.

White people aren’t the ones taking money from a black female and then using her death for social media likes and views. That was our people, and shame on you!

When society decides they have had enough of organizations like you, it will affect all the good black people you supposedly fight for.

Once again, I am pleading with society to please stop going along with this. Hold these people accountable.

Get the hell away from black people, because there is no fixing this.

Senator John Fetterman Blasts AOC Calling Him A Bully – After He Compares Dem Sideshow in House to Jerry Springer Show

Sen. John Fetterman/ CNN YouTube

Looks like the Democrats are starting to eat their own.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) on Sunday blasted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for her outrageous claim that he was acting like a bully. Fetterman dismissed the absurd accusation following his straightforward comments on the heated exchange in a House committee. The radical left’s desperate attempts to smear their own continue to reach new lows.

Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Fetterman attempted to defend his controversial tweet, claiming he was merely reacting to the chaos in the House panel. He had compared it to “The Jerry Springer Show.”

Fetterman’s dismissive remarks reveal his attitude toward serious congressional proceedings, further fueling the spectacle the left creates in Washington.

I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a “both sides” issue.

But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.

And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too.

Enjoy your Friday. https://t.co/cInF4YXO2y

— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) May 17, 2024

Politico reports,

“If everyone on the committee was proud of what they’ve produced, they’re entitled to their opinion,” he told host Jake Tapper on Sunday.

Ocasio-Cortez disagreed with Fetterman’s initial tweet after the disorderly Thursday hearing where a number of representatives hurled insults at their colleagues.

“I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny for being a ‘both sides’ issue,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.”

The panel gathered to discuss contempt charges against Attorney General Merrick Garland, a key target for House Republicans. However, the session descended into bickering among some members.

“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) during the hearing.

On the bright side, it is nice to see Congress actually working for a change instead of pacifying the public while sending billions to foreign countries while Americans starve in the streets.

And it was refreshing to see Republicans go on offense against AG Garland.

Now, if they could focus more on inner-city crime, that would be real progress.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Former Assistant Not Shocked By Video Showing Rapper Beating Ex-Girlfriend Cassie

Suzi Siegel was Combs’ assistant from 2008 to 2009.
CNN/YouTube

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former assistant expressed no shock at the recent video showing the rapper violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel.

Suzi Siegi, who served as Combs’ assistant from 2008 to 2009 when his relationship with Ventura began, told Liberal-controlled CNN that “there was not one cell in my body that was surprised” by the disturbing 2016 footage.

The New York Post reports,

“I felt sick and I felt violently angry,” she said she felt after watching the video. “It’s so disturbing that the video doesn’t lie.”

Siegel said she spent a lot of time in limos and at parties with the couple while employed as Combs’ assistant, but “never saw him speak harshly to her or be abusive or anything like that.”

“I was around him a lot and I got a feeling for who he was,” she continued. “I didn’t see anything that could get him in trouble but I think that the power dynamic in a situation like that, especially at the beginning of her career,” she said.

When they started their on-again, off-again relationship, Combs was 37, and Ventura was 19. Ventura was signed to Combs’ label, lasting business relationships through 2019.

“Imagine how that would be. And then he’s rich. And not only is he rich he controls you career,” Siegel said.

She said it was her “women’s intuition” that led her to believe Combs was capable of violence, as well as they way he interacted with the people around him.

“Nobody was mistreated that I saw, I didn’t feel mistreated, but it was very clear to me, again, this is intuition … he just didn’t see your humanity when he looked at you,” she said.

The security footage revealed Ventura, barefoot, escaping from Combs’ room at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles and attempting to enter an elevator. Combs, wrapped in a towel, then approaches her, grabs her by the neck, and slams her to the ground.

On the hallway floor, he kicked, dragged, and threw things at her while she was lying on her back.

The beatdown corroborates allegations outlined in a since-settled lawsuit filed by Ventura. In the filing, Ventura claims that Combs paid the hotel $50,000 for the security footage. The suit was settled one day after filing.

The Los Angeles District Attorneys Office said it cannot prosecute Combs based on the video since it happened beyond the state’s statute of limitations for simple and felony assault.

There have been five lawsuits filed against Combs since November alleging rape, sexual misconduct, and other offenses.

In April, federal agents made a dramatic raid on his California and Florida mansions as part of an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security team specializing in human trafficking.

Despite not facing any charges, he has persistently denied the allegations brought against him.

Op-Ed: When Fighting Racism Turns Into An Attack On A Former President And Real Victims

Donald Trump/ Fulton County Sherriff office

It is time we talk about the dangers of fighting racism in the modern world.

When the world set out to stop what was called discrimination, I believe it came from a good place.

I would like to believe that those people thought they were doing the right thing and that it was all meant for good.

Unfortunately, as time goes by, I am starting to see the adverse effects of fighting this fight.  I say this as a black woman myself who has tried hard to be a good black person and be productive in society.

Do you know what I see as a result of fighting racism? I see anti-white law enforcement officials like Alvin Bragg, Fani Willis, and Letitia James who ignore black crimes and the victims affected all in the name of going after the “racist.”

I also see an unchecked amount of violence from black men, specifically against women and kids.

It doesn’t take long to find mugshots of people the same race as Bragg, James, and Willis committing crimes.

When a state is harboring dangerous, undocumented illegals who have no respect for American laws, coupled with the ghetto cultured blacks who commit a large percentage of crime in the state, we have a national security issue. It’s even more concerning when those state officials ignore the crisis to go fight manufactured racism by attacking President Trump.

March 2024 NYC Crime stats

What I am seeing, I can only describe as an attempt to make real victims and being white, illegal, or taboo to discuss. Do you hear what I am trying to say, my friends?

We’ve fought racism so hard that it is now shameful to be white or a victim of a black person. How do I know this?  Well, for one, black women all over the world in all continents have taken to social media to denounce black men in poverty and gang violence.

What should be noted is that even Louis Farrakhan, the leader of black male celeb types, came out and echoed these sentiments. The black community is in shambles, and the men are not acting as protectors and providers but as predators of their own women and children.

To get to my point, when high-profile cases like George Floyd lacked nuance in the discussion, and then you have black leaders who put attacking Trump over the safety of their own people, fighting racism isn’t helping; it’s become a weapon to discredit white people and real victims of crime. Black men saw the way George Floyd’s death was treated and realized they didn’t have to reach the success of MLK or other civil rights leaders to be seen as “valuable.”

@theblackshea #stitch with @cameronsteelecomedy #blacklove #blackwomendeservebetter #divestedblackwomen #divest #blackwomenoftiktok #relationships #marriage ♬ original sound – The Black Shea

This mindset, whether people want to admit it or not, is causing a national security issue in America. You have men who have no issue going out in public and committing rape, robbery, or assault on women or kids because they have become a protected class and are aware of their new status.

In the 60s, when thousands of women used their voices to tell the government they weren’t happy, it became a historical event. We are approaching 4 years of black women and white people, for their own safety, divesting from black areas and culture with no word from the Biden administration,

Again, when optics are about going after Donald Trump as the big “racist,” there is no time to protect the public from the other race who commits most of the violence.  We can’t have that because they don’t want to offend the black law enforcement officials they are using to attack Trump.

This is now an attack on real victims. Anyone who is attacked by a non-white is the problem. If you speak out, you’re a racist. You must stay silent because it can hurt the ongoing attack on the only Politician who never asked black Americans to settle for a life of crime.

Donald Trump

This is all about getting Trump, and sadly, white victims and children in the black community are now collateral damage.

It’s time to stop fighting racism the way we were taught and start holding people accountable for contributing to the dangers in society, and yes, many of those people happen to be black.

NYC Teacher Fired After Texting a Female Student 28,000 Times

FaceBook Dulaina Almonte

Despite being fired by the Department of Education, a stubborn French teacher is still in the classroom – bragging that she is “invincible” despite sending nearly 30,000 late-night texts to a student.

After the Special Commissioner of Investigation substantiated claims of her bizarre behavior with students, Dulaina Almonte, 33, was fired from Harry S. Truman High School in The Bronx in 2020.

The New York Post reports,

“I can’t be guilty if I’m still a teacher,” Almonte — who now teaches at a Bronx charter school — boasted to The Post this week.

“It’s not a crime, but still got fired, which is honestly why the DOE can suck a big pr–k,” she continued.

“Still a teacher! Can’t touch me!” she bragged.

“Still a teacher working elsewhere. Like, you really can’t f–king touch me.”

Her audacity comes despite a damning 2022 SCI report which found her “excessive contact and behavior with the students demonstrates that she has no place in the New York City Schools.

During a 14-month period, Almonte sent 28,075 late-night texts to a 17-year-old female student – 66 messages a day – and traded nearly 1,900 texts with a 12-year-old boy.

TikTok @mijea121

Police also investigated a Truman HS student’s claim that she and a former student had engaged in a sex act in a classroom, according to the police report.

There was no arrest made against Almonte, who denied the allegations, which included that she and a student had “made out and engaged in oral sex throughout school.”

But the incident led to a lengthy SCI probe documenting her thousands of late-night and weekend chats with students, along with encrypted WhatsApp and Snapchat calls, and the teens’ multiple visits to her Bronx home.

The report, the result of a year-long investigation, “was completely false,” Almonte insisted.

Almonte is now teaching Spanish at the publicly-funded, privately-run AECI 2: NYC Charter High School for Engineering and Innovation, where teachers on average earn about $74,000, according to Indeed.com. Her pay in 2019 from the DOE was $71,963.

According to a review of SCI’s annual reports, only four of 254 sexual and “inappropriate” misconduct allegations by DOE employees were substantiated over the last five years.
