The Biden campaign is in talks with former President Obama about appearing with President Biden at a star-studded Los Angeles fundraiser in mid-June, according to people familiar with the plan.
- George Clooney and Jeffrey Katzenberg are being lined up as hosts, the sources said.
Why it matters: It’s set to be the Hollywood sequel — currently with just two presidents — of the “three presidents” show in New York City that featured Biden, Obama and former President Clinton last month.
- That event brought in $26 million for Biden’s re-election effort, setting a fundraising record for Democrats in a single evening, according to Biden aides.
- Given Katzenberg’s role as a co-chair of Biden’s campaign — and his deep connections in the movie industry — Democrats are optimistic that the Biden-Obama appearance, plus a smattering of stars, will lead another historic fundraising haul.
- Other big names, including Julia Roberts, also might attend, according to people familiar with the matter.

Joe Biden and the Democrat party get special treatment from about 99 percent of the media but apparently, it still isn’t enough.
People at the Biden White House are angry at the New York Times for not being loyal enough. They actually think that the incredibly liberal newspaper is too biased against them and too nice to Trump.
This claim is positively delusional. The media bends over backwards to not report negative news about Biden while demonizing Trump constantly.
What this really shows is that people in the Biden camp are sensitive and scared.

The comical tale of liberal eating themselves began with a seemingly innocuous mix-up between a Times reporter not on the White House beat being unaware with how to attribute quotes from a junior White House press aide becoming a hissy fit that resulted in the Times temporarily being kicked off the administration’s “‘tier one’ email list for background information about various briefings and other materials”.
“Biden’s closest aides had come to see the Times as arrogant, intent on setting its own rules and unwilling to give Biden his due. Inside the paper’s D.C. bureau, the punitive response seemed to typify a press operation that was overly sensitive and determined to control coverage of the president,” Stokols explained.
Stokols further summarized his tome as based on “interviews with two dozen people on both sides” about “the relationship between the Democratic president and the country’s newspaper of record — for years the epitome of a liberal press in the eyes of conservatives” that’s become “remarkably tense, beset by misunderstandings, grudges and a general lack of trust.”
Not surprisingly, Team Biden must think they’re owed Obama-like snuff pieces seeing as how, in their mind, The Times has “fall[en] short in a make-or-break moment for American democracy, stubbornly refusing to adjust its coverage” away from “impartial neutrality, often blurring the asymmetries between former President Donald Trump and Biden when it comes to their perceived flaws” when America itself is at stake.
Again, this is delusional thinking. If we had an honest media, Biden would be ten points lower in the polls.

FOX News went into a diner in Pennsylvania this morning and spoke to a group of veterans, including a man who served in WWII.
The vets were asked specifically about the anti-Israel and anti-American protests happening on college campuses. All of the men that they spoke to registered absolute disgust with what’s happening.
One vet wondered why law enforcement is being forced to allow it to happen in some places. Another vet suggests deportations.

A group of U.S. military veterans shared their disgust over the wave of anti-Israel protests spreading across college campuses.
“They’re a disgrace to the United States of America. Burning flags, talking against the country. They’re not happy here? Deport them like anybody else if they’re not an American. It’s a shame and a disgrace,” a World War II veteran named George said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday.
“These veterans died and got injured and everything else, so they could protest against the United States of America and burn flags and everything else. Total disgrace.”
After protests rocked Columbia and Yale campuses, demonstrations broke out at the University of Texas-Austin and the University of Southern California Wednesday…
“They’re all nasty, nasty people. They’ve got nothing better to do with their lives than to say that. It’s so disgusting,” another veteran told Lawrence Jones at the Eagle Diner in Warminster, Pa., about 30 miles north of Philadelphia.

Comedian and actor Jon Lovitz appeared on the Jesse Watters show last night and called out his fellow entertainers and celebrities for not speaking up about the antisemitism we see unfolding on college campuses.
Lovitz suggests that just like many years ago, some people can’t quite believe what is happening. He tells an interesting story about Jews in Germany before the Holocaust and the dangers of not speaking out.
He also talks about two specific students he knows who are dealing with this and what they’ve been forced to go through.

JON LOVITZ: I don’t know. I think people who are Jewish like myself are naïve and thought there’s not all of his antisemitism. I think it’s always been there, it’s just coming out. But what you kind of set about, you know, you respect everybody. Whatever their religion, race, you respect everybody. That’s what Judaism there religion is about, and I still think people have a right to protest peacefully. Normally you would get a permit and they get a place to protest. I don’t know why they are allowed to do it on the school. And I don’t know how people that aren’t students are camping out in the middle of the school. Is in that trespassing? I don’t understand.
JESSE WATTERS: What I don’t understand is you have the president of the United States, the white house, they won’t even touch this. Would you expect more from the leadership in this country?
LOVITZ: Yeah. I think anyone doing this against anybody like this should stop it. I mean preventing students from going to class, it’s ridiculous. It happened to a friend of mine. I was speaking to her this morning. She has one kid at Duke and another at Cornell. At Duke months ago they started doing a protest. They said no you can’t do that here and they’ve had no problems sense. Cornell did not and they’ve had all of these problems. Her daughter could not go to class, take a test, the teacher would not respond to her and she had trouble retaking it. Finally got to. But it’s bad. And I don’t know why — people say why are you speaking up? Why aren’t other people who are way bigger names not saying anything quake my answer is, I don’t know. I think they are either afraid, afraid they will lose — hurt their business, but I feel like it’s so bad how can you not say something? You have to.

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner or ‘Nerd Prom’ is happening this weekend on Saturday night. This is the night where a bunch of DC and NYC journalists get together with Democrats and make fun of Republicans for a few hours.
According to new reports, the anti-Israel mob is also planning to attend the event, which could be very interesting.
Most of the journalists who will be attending are ideologically aligned with the protesters, so there shouldn’t be any problems, right?

Pro-Palestinian groups and journalists are readying a rally to shut down the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner Saturday at the Washington Hilton over the Biden administration’s handling of the Gaza-Hamas crisis.
“Shut down the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” one group, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, said in an online message. They are calling for protesters to gather down the street from the hotel two hours before the glitzy dinner begins.
Another group, the Committee to Protect Journalists, is urging a boycott by White House reporters who suspend their arms-length relationship with Biden aides for a night of elbow rubbing at the so-called “nerd prom.”
“The White House Correspondents’ Dinner is an embodiment of media manipulation, trading journalistic ethics for access. For journalists to fraternize at an event with President Biden and Vice President Harris would be to normalize, sanitize, and whitewash the administration’s role in genocide,” said the committee.

FOX News political analyst Gianno Caldwell is from Chicago and says that people in the city have had it with the influx of illegal immigrants and are very serious about voting for Trump in November.
Caldwell says that he is in regular communication with other Chicagoans and that there are enough of these voters to turn Illinois red in the 2024 election.
If you thought liberals were upset when Trump took Michigan and Pennsylvania in 2016, that was nothing compared to the meltdown we would witness if Trump takes Illinois this year.

Chicago residents are furious at Mayor Brandon Johnson and the city council for approving a $70 million proposal to bolster the city’s sanctuary city resources, and some think the outrage could favor Republicans in November.
Fox News political analyst Gianno Caldwell, who grew up in the Windy City, argued that residents will be voting for President Trump in droves during “The Faulkner Focus,” stemming from their anger over the city prioritizing migrants over their citizens.
“They are doing the right thing by saying we’re coming directly for your seats, including you, Mayor Brandon Johnson,” Caldwell told host Harris Faulkner on Tuesday. “[Johnson’s] message to Chicagoans has been quite clear. Get on the back of the bus. Now that’s everybody, but especially those Black voters who are the reason he’s mayor today. Get on the back of the bus.”
“These voters in Chicago… I speak to a lot of them pretty regularly. Pretty weekly. They’re serious about voting for Trump. They’re serious about handing the election in Illinois to Donald Trump, as you only need 20% of Cook County, which is within Chicago,” he continued.

The Daily Show co-hosts Jordan Klepper and Ronny Chien devoted an extended segment on Tuesday’s episode to Biden’s recent speech to the United Steelworkers Union in Pittsburgh. In his speech, Biden claimed that his uncle, Ambrose Finnegan, was shot down near Papua New Guinea during World War II and that his body was never recovered because “there were a lot of cannibals” in New Guinea at the time.
Even left-wing news outlets including New York magazine and the Associated Press have cast doubt on Biden’s tale…
“You’re going to lose the election,” Chieng said to Biden.

As often happens in a moment like this, young progressives will flock to a protest or cause without understanding all of the details. They just know that their friends on the left are doing it and therefore it must be a good cause.
This is so telling about this entire movement.

A woman’s reasoning for joining a pro-Palestinian protest at New York University (NYU) has gone viral on social media this week.
On Wednesday, former New York City Mayor and lawyer to former President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, showcasing an interview with a pro-Palestinian protester.
In the video, the individual is asked about the goal of protesters at NYU, to which the person responded, “I think the goal is showing our support for Palestine and demanding that NYU stops.”
“I honestly don’t know all of what NYU is doing … I really don’t know,” the individual says.
As the video continues, the individual is seen speaking to another fellow protester and asking if she is aware of why they are protesting.
“I wish I was more educated,” the second protester is heard saying.

An anti-Israel mob formed in front of the New York home of Senator Chuck Schumer tonight and the protesters were arrested almost immediately.
Funny how quickly arrests can be made in a case like this depending on who is being threatened.
Jewish students don’t get this kind of swift protection. Neither do conservative Supreme Court justices.

Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters gathered outside of Sen. Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) home in Brooklyn, calling for the United States to “stop arming Israel.”
Video footage posted to X showed what appeared to be hundreds of protesters gathered in the street outside of Schumer’s home for a “Seder in the Streets” on the second day of the Passover Jewish holiday.
A seder is a Passover holiday meal, which includes songs, stories, reading, and eating special foods, along with other traditions. For those who live in Israel, it is held on the first night of Passover, but for those outside of Israel, it is held on the first two nights of Passover…
Officers from the New York Police Department were captured on video telling protesters outside of Schumer’s home that they were “blocking vehicular traffic” and would be arrested for disorderly conduct if they did not “move and get onto the sidewalk.”

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley has been one of the most outspoken legal critics of the New York court case that Trump is dealing with right now.
During an appearance on FOX News today, Turley called the case an embarrassment, saying that he agrees with Trump.
He said that he can’t even believe that they went forward with the case they have.

JONATHAN TURLEY: If you polled people and ask if Trump was responsible for the bubonic plague, we would end up with the same 35%. We have these hard numbers on either end of the poll when it comes to Trump. They don’t move no matter what the subject is.
What is clear is in this case, Trump is right. This is an embarrassment. The fact that we are actually talking about this case being presented in a New York courtroom leaves me in utter disbelief.
The arguments today did in fact capture all the problems here. You had this misdemeanor under state law that had run out, this is going back related to the 2016 election. They zapped it back into life by alleging that there was a campaign finance violation under the federal laws that doesn’t exist. The Department of Justice doesn’t view it this way.
On top of that, you got these tough factual issues that were laid out well by the Trump team. Saying someone else designated this as a legal expense. He was actually paid far in excess of this because this was a legal account.

The city of Santa Monica in California is constructing a new apartment building for the homeless, which sounds smart, until you find out that the cost is going to be one million per unit.
How can the cost run this high? Are they going to be luxury units? Or is it possible that lots of people have their hands out in this project and are getting wealthy in the process?
The cost just doesn’t make sense.

Santa Monica to Construct $1M Per Unit Apartment Building for Homeless
Santa Monica, California, is preparing to construct an apartment building for the homeless that would cost roughly $1 million per unit.
The apartment building, which will be built in Santa Monica and will be home to “122 apartments” and two levels of underground parking, will cost more than $123 million, according to the website for the City of Santa Monica.
A second design concept on the website found that the project could cost even more, totaling more than $200 million for 196 apartments.
“Moving forward in bringing affordable and permanent supportive housing to city-owned land is a key step in our strategy to fulfill our Housing Element requirement,” Santa Monica Mayor Phil Brock said in a statement. “I look forward to the next steps and ultimately seeing families move into these new homes and thrive.”
Construction on the apartment building would not begin until 2028, with the project estimated to be completed for residents to move in by 2030, according to the city’s website.
So not only is the project ridiculously expensive, it’s going to take years to complete.

The rhetoric at these events is disturbing and hateful. Campus activists somehow think they’re on the right side of the issue, even though they are supporting Hamas, a terror group.
It has gotten so bad at some schools that Jewish students don’t feel safe and are leaving campus.
Republicans in the Senate are now warning these schools that they could lose their federal funding if this doesn’t end.

Saturday Night Live has not been funny in years, but a 2015 sketch is going viral on social media for implying that going to a liberal college is like joining the ISIS terror group.
People are identifying with the sketch in light of the pro-Hamas demonstrations taking place at Columbia University, Yale, and many other elite schools.
SNL probably couldn’t even make this sketch today because it would offend too many people in their fan base.

A 2015 Saturday Night Live sketch about ISIS has gone viral after it was posted by a Rabbi who said it “predicted the future”, and commenters have linked it to the ongoing tension at Columbia University in New York City.
Classes have been canceled at the university as a pro-Palestinian protest encampment on the campus refuses to budge, despite police arresting more than 100 people on Thursday…
In the sketch, guest host Dakota Johnson plays a student being dropped off at a bus terminal to head to college for the first time by her dad (Taran Killam). She assures him not to worry about her because some friends were coming to pick her up.
A pickup truck then rolls up behind them bearing the flags of terrorist group ISIS, and men in army fatigues wielding machine guns and bazookas riding in the back.
“Looks like your ride’s here,” Killam says, adding, “you be careful.” Johnson leans down to the window and says, “dad it’s just ISIS.”

Migrants and an advocacy group in Denver decried the city’s new Asylum Seekers Program that offers six months of free housing, calling it “insufficient” and “offensive” despite the mayor cutting the city’s emergency budget to accommodate the migrant surge.
The sanctuary city has been struggling to stretch its limited resources to support the growing number of migrants making their way to Denver. More than 40,000 migrants have found their way to the city since December 2022, more per capita than any other U.S. city – at a total cost of around $68 million, the New York Post reported.
Last week, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston announced that his city’s migrant program would now provide what he called “a long-term, sustainable response” to address the migrant “crisis” locally. The program will offer six months of free housing, food assistance, workforce training and more to the roughly 1,000 migrants currently in the city’s shelter system as they wait for authorization to work, according to the New York Post. Due to the federal asylum seeker law, it can take up to 180 days to obtain working authorization.

And by cancellation, I mean tax dollars were used to make the ledger go to zero.

From Penn Wharton’s analysis: “We estimate that President Biden’s recently announced ‘New Plans’ to provide relief to student borrowers will cost $84 billion, in addition to the $475 billion that we previously estimated for President Biden’s SAVE plan.” But that goes to really needy people, right? Well, actually, at least 750,000 of those households are “making over $312,000 in average household income.”
Meanwhile, to anyone who questions this allocation of resources, the White House answer is to shame them from official White House accounts by listing how much in pandemic loans were forgiven for House Republicans who own individual small business, which is weird because the reason businesses needed pandemic relief was because the White House banned them from operating. It’s a trap! And the only answer is to pay off every Media Studies PhD student’s loan. Colleges, for their part, are now charging up to $100,000 a year. Yes, literally. And since that’s ultimately going to be paid for by the taxpayers, why work to make it less expensive? Why cut corners when you need to remodel the cafeteria?

A secretive climate activist group with significant financial backing is quietly taking on a more prominent role advocating against natural, gas-powered appliances, like stoves.
The Gas Leaks Action Campaign — which appears to have been first established in late 2021 or early 2022 — recently launched a $1 million ad campaign warning of the dangers posed by natural gas, the largest-ever effort of its kind. The group states on its website that natural gas harms the environment, pollutes the air inside homes and makes stoves “constantly at risk of explosion.”
The group has also spearheaded a campaign against the American Gas Association (AGA), the nation’s leading industry group representing natural gas providers. At a Washington, D.C. event earlier this month, Gas Leaks hosted Sens. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., along with several environmental groups like the Sierra Club to blast the AGA’s lobbying activities.
“Instead of turning off the tap on fossil fuels, our country has been flooding the market with gas and, unless we do something, we are all going to drown,” said Markey, who is an original sponsor of the Green New Deal.

Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt is trying to find new ways to generate revenue for the state. Taxpayers are apparently not already being squeezed hard enough in the state.
During a meeting with a liberal group this week, she described her efforts and vowed to chase new revenue aggressively.
It’s disturbing to hear a state leader talking in this way, frankly suggesting that she is going after ‘everybody who has money.’
The Commonwealth Beacon reported:
The secretary promised to be aggressive in pursuing change even in the face of strong opposition. To buttress that point, she said she will not spend any time making decisions with the goal of hanging on to her job. She also said Gov. Maura Healey has her back. “This governor likes fights. She does. She loves to fight,” Tibbits-Nutt said, according to a video of her talk on the Walk Massachusetts website.
The secretary is heading a task force charged with coming up with a new funding model for transportation by the end of the year. Many insiders are openly skeptical the task force can reach consensus on a package that can make it through the Legislature, but Tibbits-Nutt said the group will be focused on getting results. She also ticked off several revenue initiatives she is interested in.
“This [task force] is actually different because we’re not censoring it,” she said. “I’m going to talk about tolling. I’m going to talk about charging TNCs [transportation network companies like Uber and Lyft] more. I’m going to talk about potentially charging more for package deliveries, charging more for payroll tax — basically going after everybody who has money. And when I’m talking tolling, I’m talking at the borders. I’m not talking within Massachusetts.”

Days after Harris spoke in Arizona on April 12, the political group “Republican Voters Against Trump” invited the outlet to view videos of interviews with three different voter focus groups: one of former Trump 2016 voters who voted for Biden in 2020, one of Black voters who are disappointed with Biden, and another of “California Democrats.”
The Times reported the crossover voters’ views, stating, “Their assessments were brutal. If she is helping Biden, you don’t see it. She rubs me the wrong way. She was picked because she is a demographic. The big things she had, she failed.”…
The other two groups, while less antagonistic towards Harris, were not complimentary of her. “In a focus group of Black voters who were disappointed with Biden, none raised their hand in support of Harris, with one participant calling her ‘the bad news bear,’” the report noted.

District Attorney Brooke Jenkins urged drivers delayed by the hours-long gridlock to contact police so they can “be alleged as a victim” — and so she can build a case against the 26 activists who blocked cars on the bridge Monday, according to CBS News.
Jenkins said she was sending the case back to the California Highway Patrol “for further investigation” into possible false imprisonment charges.
She said drivers, some of whom sat stranded on the span for more than four hours, should get in touch with the CHP so they can seek restitution, according to the SF Gate.
“Anyone who was falsely imprisoned on the Golden Gate Bridge on April 15, 2024, is urged to contact the California Highway Patrol,” Jenkins said in a press conference Tuesday.

Addison Smith of Newsmax recently spoke to a black voter in Philadelphia, a famously blue city, who explained why the country needs to reelect Trump in 2024.
Trump is making huge gains with minority voters in this election cycle and this voter does a great job of explaining why this is happening. No one has confidence in Joe Biden’s ability to lead the country.

Smith also spoke with a guy who broke it down in terms that would resonate with everyone on Thursday in Philadelphia. He pointed out how they were having the event there for Biden and that there were a lot of Americans “struggling,” but Biden was helping illegal aliens, “When are you going to help American people?” he asked.
The voter then went into something that isn’t said enough now in media: that Biden made us “look weak” with his failed withdrawal from Afghanistan. “Now people don’t take us serious,” he said. “They look at us like a joke.”
“On top of that, you’re not mentally capable of running the country, bro,” he said to Biden.
He was asked by the Newsmax reporter, “Who is?”
“Trump,” the voter declared. “He’s quick to push buttons, but that’s what we need. We need a hard fist for this country…Biden, he’s going through Alzheimer’s; he’s a joke. Trump? He don’t play around, man; he gets things done. You see action, man. We don’t need that POS in the office.” He then apologized for cursing.

Cities around the country are dealing with a homelessness problem that has exploded in recent years. In Los Angeles, California, the problem is severe, with thousands upon thousands of people living in tents on sidewalks.
Democrat Mayor Karen Bass has an idea for solving the city’s problem. She wants wealthy residents to buy housing for the homeless. Good luck with that.

Bass made the remarks as she announced the LA4LA Campaign, which is aimed at creating housing for the city’s growing homeless population. According to the Los Angeles Times, over 45,000 homeless people live in the city…
So far, Bass’ Inside Safe program has moved over 21,000 homeless people into temporary housing, according to her website. In her remarks, Bass announced the new initiative and asked “the most fortunate” to help fund housing for the homeless.
“We are asking the most fortunate Angelenos to participate in this effort, with personal, private sector and philanthropic funds – to help us acquire more properties, lower the cost of capital and speed up housing,” Bass explained. “This is the mission of our new capital campaign, LA4LA.”…
“LA4LA can be a sea change for Los Angeles – an unprecedented partnership to confront this emergency,” Bass continued. “An example of disrupting the status quo to build a new system to save lives.”

The Islamic State suicide bomber who killed at least 169 Afghan civilians and 13 United States soldiers outside Kabul airport last month was incarcerated in Afghanistan’s notorious Bagram prison for the past four years, thanks to Indian efforts, Firstpost has learnt through credible intelligence sources.
Senior Indian intelligence sources familiar with the case have told Firstpost that he was handed over to the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency by the Research and Analysis Wing in September 2017. However, the jihadist walked free on 15 August along with thousands of other dangerous terrorists held in the high-security prison, taking advantage of the chaos that ensued in the aftermath of the United State’s hurried exit and the Taliban’s swift takeover of the entire country.
Identified as Abdul Rehman, the jihadist was a former student of an engineering college in India and hailed from Afghanistan’s Logar province. He was the son of an Afghan merchant who frequently visited India for business.
His arrest had led to the termination of a plot by the Islamic State of Khurasan Province (IS-K) — the Islamic State’s regional wing in Afghanistan — to stage suicide bombings in New Delhi and other cities across the region, probably on the behest of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate (ISI).

It has now been confirmed that the suicide bomber who killed 13 U.S. service members in 2021 during Biden’s disastrous withdrawal had been released from an Afghan prison as the confusion unfolded.
The Afghan withdrawal happened early in Biden’s presidency and his poll numbers have never fully recovered. The incident may have also had something to do with the military’s ongoing struggle to find new recruits.
Following the withdrawal, Biden famously turned his back to the press and the American people at one point, a gesture he has repeated many times since.
The Washington Free Beacon released this confirmation on Wednesday – more than two years after Gateway Pundit’s original reporting.

The Biden administration on Monday confirmed that the Afghan suicide bomber who killed more than a dozen U.S. service members at the Kabul airport in 2021 had been freed from a prison abandoned during the U.S. military’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.
House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Michael McCaul (R., Texas) in a Monday statement said a Defense Department report revealed that the suicide bomber who detonated an explosive belt at the airport’s Abbey Gate and killed 13 U.S. service members and injured 45 more in August 2021 was “Abdul Rahman al-Logari, an ISIS-K terrorist who was freed from the Bagram prison by the Taliban.”
American troops had left the Bagram Airfield just weeks before the Abbey Gate bombing, as part of the Biden administration’s Afghanistan withdrawal. Afghan officials said the American troops abandoned Bagram, Afghanistan’s largest airfield, after nearly 20 years without even notifying the base’s new Afghan commander.
McCaul in his Monday statement denounced congressional Democrats, arguing that the American public would have known what happened at the Kabul airport much sooner had the Democrats “fulfilled their constitutional obligations and conducted oversight.”
After the suicide bombing, Biden somehow managed to make things look even worse.

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith recently went off on the Democrats in a rant about all of the lawfare that they’re waging against Trump.
This is not the first time that Smith has gone off like this. Just last month, he tore into Democrats over similar issues.
Smith suggested that all this does is prove that Democrats don’t believe they can beat Trump on the issues. He also suggests that it proves Trump’s claims about election interference.

“That’s why he keeps saying they can’t beat me at the election, at the polls. This is the only way they can do it,” he said.
Smith also gave a warning about where this strategy will lead, especially if Trump is never put in jail, predicting there will “never be peace in this country” as a result.
“And if you don’t put him in jail, and he still goes from being the presumptive GOP nominee to the official GOP nominee, and he goes to the polls, even though he was going to whine about winning and being rigged again, you have given more fodder to that argument, which means we’ll never have peace in this country.”

Denver’s Democrat mayor, Mike Johnston, has cut funding to the city’s police department by $8 million in order to take care of people who entered the country illegally.
This is not the first time Johnston has done this. He was already making cuts to city services back in February for the same reason.
So the influx of illegal aliens makes the city less safe and then the mayor cuts funding to the police making the city even less safe.
What could possibly go wrong?

A Democrat-controlled city announced $45 million in funding for programs to help deal with the skyrocketing number of migrant arrivals it is facing, resulting in over $8 million in budget cuts for the police department.
Denver Mayor Mike Johnston announced last week a package of $45.9 million to fully fund programs for “newcomers” for 2024 and avoid worst-case scenarios projected by the city. That’s in addition to $44 million in spending already secured for the program through previous budget moves.
Spending on migrants in the city skyrocketed last year from $2 million a month in August to $15 million in December. In January, migrant numbers peaked at around 5,000 in shelters but have since dropped to around 1,000, according to official figures.
“After more than a year of facing this crisis together, Denver finally has a sustainable plan for treating our newcomers with dignity while avoiding the worst cuts to city services,” Johnston said.
The mayor’s office says it will avoid layoffs or furloughs of employees, but there will still be cuts to find the extra $45.9 million in funding. The mayor’s office will see its budget cut by nearly 10%.
Taxpayers in Denver should be outraged.

Those who donate to the fund, the ActBlue page says, are sending money to the Community Justice Exchange, which provides “money bail, court fees and fines” and other legal services to “community-based organizations … that contest the current operation and function of the criminal legal and immigration detention systems.” The exchange is a project of the Tides Center, a left-wing dark money network funded by Soros and other liberal billionaires.

Legend justifies this by noting that Trump has access to lawyers who are delaying trials. He fails to note that the trials are all completely political and are being brought against Trump just because he is Trump.

Left wing activist and filmmaker Michael Moore thinks Biden is going to blow it for Democrats in 2024 like Hillary did in 2016.
According to Moore, millions of Michigan liberals are going to sit out the election over Biden’s handling of the Israel/Hamas conflict. He reminded MSNBC that Hillary lost Michigan in 2016 by a pretty small margin and he sees history repeating itself.
He may have a point. There have been multiple reports about all of the ‘uncommitted’ votes in the Michigan primary over this issue. Also, remember that Michael Moore was one of the few people on the left who understood Trump’s appeal in 2016.

A neighborhood in New York City has been turned into an open-air market where illegal immigrants are selling goods, many of them stolen, and prostitution is common.
Locals are complaining and the police try to move the illegal vendors out but they’re replaced by others within minutes after the cops leave.
New York City is being transformed into a country within a country, with its own set of rules and regulations.

A stretch of Jackson Heights has deteriorated into an illegal migrant shopping district — an unchecked, open-air market where everything from women to stolen goods can be had, The Post has learned.
Roosevelt Avenue near 91st Street is littered daily with migrant vendors hawking goods they ripped off from shopkeepers just steps away, while prostitutes proposition passersby at all hours — and frustrated merchants and residents say they’re helpless to do anything about it.
“It’s relentless,” said Milton Reyes, who manages Mi Farmacia pharmacy on the avenue. “You should see it on Saturdays. It’s so heavy, you can’t even step onto the sidewalk. There are a lot of doctors’ offices right around here and my customers don’t even want to get dropped off.
“I’m not faulting the police,” Reyes added. “They will come by and they will pick up a few of them. But as soon as the police car pulls away, they start moving back. Twenty minutes later, they’re all set up again like nothing happened.”
The problem has been allowed to get to the point where they can’t control it now.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley appeared on FOX News on Monday and explained why Trump is not likely to get a fair trial in New York.
The trial has entered the jury selection phase and this is key, according to Turley. He suggests that even if the court tries to find jurors who don’t dislike Trump, that Trump haters will lie just to get on the jury.
The people who are going after Trump know this. In fact, they’re probably counting on it.

JONATHAN TURLEY: Well, the more cases against Trump, the less justice we receive as a people. You know, the opponents of Trump would have been far better off with just one case, the Mar-a-Lago case. That’s based on real law, real precedent, and one can disagree with the interpretations. But it’s not a reach in the sense of this case.
This case is, creating something, it’s creating a criminal code just for Trump. You know, you have a misdemeanor whose time has expired, the statute limitations ran out, and it was revived in this rather curious way. He’s effectively arguing that Trump was filing false business records through his counsel to hide a federal crime. But it isn’t a federal crime, this wasn’t a campaign contribution.
None of that appears to matter. And that’s why a lot of us are looking at this and recoiling. This is not how the law is supposed to be. New Yorkers appear to like it this way. They elected James, who ran on bagging Trump for anything, didn’t even mention what. And they now are lionizing this district attorney putting together what many consider to be an absurd indictment…
The problem is that courts don’t feel comfortable asking who did you vote for, and so they are working around the edges to try to show bias. The most important thing here is to try to isolate the worst of the jurors, those are jurors who just desperately want to be on this jury, many people will want to be and are prepared to lie to do so. What the defense counsel has is not their veracity on these forms but their names. Even though we won’t see them, defense counsel can look at social media and see if they are lying.

There have been multiple polls in recent months that show Trump leading Joe Biden in the swing states and those polls are making Democrats very nervous, but another new poll has some Democrats much more worried.
This poll has to do with voter identification. Democrats have had a strong advantage on this for years but that has changed.
The split between Americans who identify as Democrat vs. Republican is now almost perfectly even.

Since the 90s, when Republicans last had a lead in voter identification, there had been a shift toward people identifying as Democrats until there were 5 percent more voters identifying as Democrats than Republicans in 2020.
But now there appears to have been a shift back toward the right, according to a just-released Pew Research Center analysis comparing the numbers for the last twenty years until 2023.
However, the Pew results from 2023 reveal a significant shift in party affiliation this cycle, reporting that 49% of voters identify as Democrat or leaning Democrat, while 48% identify as Republican or leaning Republican.
Additionally, about 33% of respondents said they identify as being conservative or moderate in 2023, while the other side of the aisle only sees 23% identifying as liberal Democrats or leaning liberal.
That means Democrats had been five points up and now it’s almost even, and now more identifying as conservative than liberal as well.

The Biden administration on Thursday came under criticism after it again extended a sanction waiver despite repeated pushback from those concerned that Iran could misuse the funds.

Democrats in the Senate are pushing a multi-billion dollar bailout for struggling theater companies across the country and one of the companies that would benefit is New York’s Public Theater which staged a production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in 2017 that portrayed the central character as Trump. The play features the assassination of the title character.
Many of these companies are struggling because they and their supporters embraced the harshest Covid policies. They also alienated many former supporters by going fully woke.
In other words, many of these companies deserve to fail and will do so in time, whether they get a bailout now or not.

New York City has a serious and growing problem with empty office space. Between rising crime, high taxes, and the crazy rules of the pandemic a few years ago, people have fled the city in huge numbers.
Now the city is home to a record number of empty office buildings. The lack of revenue from these properties has got to be hurting the city’s bottom line and the policies of the current mayor are not helping.
Who would want to spend millions of dollars to open a new office in Manhattan right now?

Big Apple office buildings have never been so empty.
While the peak era of remote work may feel long ago in the past, the number of vacant offices in Manhattan just hit a new record.
The borough’s office availability rate -– or, how much of that market is currently unfilled — hit 18.1% in the first quarter of 2024, the highest rate ever recorded. That’s according to a recent report by investment management company Colliers, Crain’s first reported.
In contrast, that number, which includes currently empty offices and those that will be empty in the very near future, was just 10% back in March 2020. The majority of the 8% vacancy increase that has occurred since then happened between 2020 and 2022.
Still, the rate has gone up even in the past 12 months, when it was 17.1%, and even last quarter, when it was 17.9%.

Dr. Phil pointed out that what she is arguing for is equality of outcomes, which just doesn’t work. He correctly pointed out to her that what she is talking about is essentially Marxism.
Dr. Phil nailed this. Equality of outcomes is communism and it has failed everywhere it has been tried throughout history.

Three men set out to fish on a small skiff. They were headed from one small island to an even smaller one in Micronesia, but they ended up crashing on yet another small island called Pikelot, that looks like the setting for a story like Robinson Crusoe.
The men were able to live on coconuts and well water but they finally used palm fronds to spell out ‘HELP’ on the beach and were rescued.

3 stranded men were down to coconuts and a dead battery before Pacific rescue
Three men rescued this week from a remote atoll in the Pacific were subsisting on coconuts and well water when a U.S. Navy plane spotted their plea for help Sunday, a Coast Guard spokeswoman said.
The three, all in their 40s, had set out March 31 from Polowat Atoll, Micronesia, in a 20-foot skiff with an outboard motor for Pikelot Atoll, a 31-acre, uninhabited speck in a vast ocean, according to a Coast Guard news release Wednesday. The men were not identified by the Coast Guard.
“Their initial goal was to fish around Pikelot, but the skiff was damaged when they approached the island due to the swells surging on the island and surrounding shoal,” Chief Warrant Officer Sara Muir of Coast Guard Forces Micronesia, Sector Guam told Stars and Stripes by email Thursday. “They were originally going to meet up with another family from Satawal [Atoll] at Pikelot. The Satawal family ended up not going due to weather and sea conditions.”
On Saturday a woman “reported her three uncles had not returned from Pikelot Atoll,” approximately 115 miles northwest of Polowat Atoll, both part the Federated States of Micronesia, according to the Coast Guard.

Lawmakers in Tennessee have passed a new bill which would require the teaching of gun safety courses in public schools. It now heads to the desk of the governor.
This would be a major win for the Second Amendment and the people of Tennessee. If it passes into law, it could also become a model for other states.
This would also be considered a win by conservatives who are tired of seeing public schools increasingly focus on ‘woke’ social justice content instead of the basics.

Public school students in this state could soon be required to take gun safety courses
The Tennessee state legislature passed a bill, which is now headed to the governor’s desk, requiring public schools to teach “age-appropriate and grade-appropriate” gun safety courses to students starting next year.
“We see this proposed legislation as a critical step in averting firearm related accidents while fostering greater awareness and responsibility among gun owners,” the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Chris Todd, a Republican, said in a February hearing.
The Tennessee Senate passed HB 2882 in a 24-3 vote on Thursday after the bill made its way through the House in February. If signed by Gov. Bill Lee, the courses will begin in the 2025-2026 school year.
The gun safety classes would be taught primarily through videos and online resources and would teach things like firearm storage, school safety, and how to avoid getting hurt if a student finds a gun and to immediately notify an adult if a gun is found. The bill stipulates the lessons will “not include the use or presence of live ammunition, live fire, or live firearms.”
Tennessee Democrats are outraged, naturally.

Only 12 percent of black men voted for Trump in 2020, voting data shows. There is no compatible 2020 polling for black men.
In 2020, six percent of black women said they would vote for Trump, Associated Press polling found, five points less than the Journal‘s 2024 polling.

A large new homeless encampment in the city of Minneapolis is causing distress for locals who are now begging the city to shut it down.
There has been an explosion at the camp, a stabbing, and other problems. People who live nearby are telling local media that they’re terrified.
Minneapolis has never seemed to fully recover after the George Floyd riots. It seems like a city stuck in decline.

Residents of a Minneapolis neighborhood have asked city leaders to shut down a recently installed homeless encampment following a series of concerning incidents, including an explosion.
Phillip West neighbors and the Minneapolis police said the homeless encampment was set up on March 27 on the 2900 block of Fifth Avenue South, according to 5 Eyewitness News.
“We’re scared out of our minds. I’ve had people on my porch at 2 a.m. and there’s needles on the ground,” one resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said. “There’s broken glass everywhere, and we have a ton of kids that live on this block.”
The neighbor also told the outlet that residents had sent a letter to Mayor Jacob Frey, Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) Chief Brian O’Hara and the City Council asking them to take action.
Since the encampment was set up almost two weeks ago, there have allegedly been over a dozen calls to the location, including a drug overdose, a stabbing and an explosion.

For almost three years now, people on the right have been calling the crisis on the southern border an invasion. It’s difficult to see it as anything else.
When thousands of people, mostly military aged men, are crossing your border on a daily basis, what else could you call it?
Liberals have resisted the use of the term ‘invasion’ for the most part, until now.

A majority of Democrats have joined with Republicans and independents in decrying the Biden border crisis, adding to the building pressure on the White House to fix its three years of immigration blundering.
Just one day after revealing data showing that people believe the immigration disaster is President Joe Biden’s way of building a “permanent majority” of liberal voters for the Democratic Party, Rasmussen Reports said most voting groups agree the situation is at a crisis stage.
By a margin of 69%-22%, likely voters believe the open borders that have allowed in record numbers of illegal immigrants are a crisis. That includes 51% of Democrats, 63% of black people, 65% of women, and 64% of younger voters.
Nearly as many see it as an “invasion,” by a 64%-33% margin. That includes 46% of Democrats, 66% of black people, 60% of women, and 62% of younger voters.
Of course, Republicans have had no problem calling this what it is.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris think that support from LGBT voters is going to win them the day in November. While it is true that a majority of LGBT voters support Democrats, they are still a minority in the United States.
The fact that the Biden Harris campaign is talking about this speaks volumes. They are doing this because they are losing support from other parts of their coalition. Black voters, Latino voters and young voters are all drifting away from them.
This is a way for Democrats to brag about one part of their base that still seems steady.

As Biden seeks to win another term in the White House despite facing historic low approval ratings, Team Biden-Harris announced the launch of “Out for Biden-Harris.” The campaign describes the program as a national effort to mobilize LGBTQ+ voters and community members across the country.
In a statement, Biden-Harris 2024 campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said, “LGBTQ+ voters are a force to be reckoned with.”
“They were critical to our victory in 2020, and they will be critical to winning again this November,” Chavez Rodriguez added. “That’s why we’re thrilled to launch Out for Biden-Harris, which will harness the LGBTQ+ community’s organizing prowess to reelect President Biden and Vice President Harris this November.”
Like everything Biden does, this could backfire.

Cities across the country are dealing with an exploding problem of homelessness, but places like Los Angeles and San Francisco in California are among the worst.
In a shocking turn of events, an audit has found that California has spent $24 billion on homeless programs yet the problem persists and in some places is getting worse.
Would California have seen better improvements if they just gave this money directly to homeless people? Could the outcome have been any worse?
The Washington Examiner reports:
An audit in California found that the state spent $24 billion on homelessness over the past five years, but the state did not accurately track if the funds actually improved the problem.
The state has spent roughly $24 billion on initiatives to address homelessness, and the audit analyzed a combined $13.7 billion that went to five programs across the state from 2018-23. Despite the money being spent on 30 homelessness and housing programs, the audit found that California does not have reliable data to see why the situation did not improve in cities across the state.
“This report concludes that the state must do more to assess the cost-effectiveness of its homelessness programs,” State Auditor Grant Parks wrote in a letter to Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and lawmakers.
Democratic state Sen. Dave Cortese requested the audit in 2022 after he toured a homeless encampment that had been cleared. He said results from the audit found a “data desert,” which found a continuous cycle with many experiencing homelessness placed in interim housing. Of those people, only 13% found a permanent home and 44% became homeless again.

Abdullah has never run for political office before and is the former chair of the Pan-African Studies Department at California State University, Los Angeles.
“I wanted to run with someone who would put a smile on the face of Fannie Lou Hamer and Martin Luther King Jr. from the grave,” West said.
He announced his pick on Wednesday’s episode of the Tavis Smiley Radio Show on KBLA radio.
West is running as an independent candidate and faces significant challenges in his campaign for the White House. West’s fundraising has lagged behind his opponents, raising less than $1 million since launching his bid last summer.
Democrats are worried about West for the same reason they’re worried about RFK:
Democrats were swift to criticize West’s announcement. “Despite Cornel West announcing a running mate, our view remains the same: only two candidates have a path to 270 electoral votes, President Biden and Donald Trump,” said DNC spokesperson Matt Corridoni. “The stakes are high, and we know this is going to be a close election — that’s why a vote for any third party candidate is a vote for Donald Trump.”
It’ll be fascinating to see where this ticket picks up votes.

Now that Republicans are moving forward in an effort to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Democrats have adopted a very different view of the subject.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said this week that impeachment shouldn’t be used to settle policy disagreements.
That will be big news to President Trump and his supporters. What changed?
The Washington Times reports:
Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer said Tuesday that Democrats will move to derail an impeachment trial for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, saying the charges against him are bogus.
Mr. Schumer did not say exactly what method Democrats will use, but other senators said it could involve either tabling or moving to dismiss the case, which could be done through a majority vote.
Republicans decried the expected move that would be the first time in history the Senate shirked a duty to conduct a trial after the House impeached an official.
But Mr. Schumer said he considers the case against Mr. Mayorkas to be illegitimate, and he seemed confident of having the votes to succeed.
“We’re going to try and resolve this issue as quickly as possible,” Mr. Schumer, New York Democrat, told reporters. “Impeachment should never be used to settle policy disagreements.”

It has been widely reported that there were chants of ‘death to America’ at a recent event in Michigan. It’s the sort of thing we’re used to hearing from Iran but not in our own country.
During The Five on FOX News this week, Greg Gutfeld talked about this issue and where he sees this going. He suggests that the problem is going to get worse as left-leaning cities will be come mini-Gazas throughout the country.
He also asks why we are putting up with it.

I get the impression with the “Death To America” stuff that we are on a slow roll toward our own little Gazas. These little islands of unrest in the country. These were places that were sacrificed to leftism. Leftisms, where laws were discarded. Identity and division became the currency. Look at Minneapolis since George Floyd. It’s never been the same. It’s all these enclaves.
We were supposed to be a melting pot. But that requires melting. And instead what we are seeing is a hardening. It is a hardening. And we are always accused of xenophobia if we exalt our country’s awesomeness or make fun of another country’s customs. Fair enough. I get it. But it’s a two-way street. If you come here and reject assimilation, free speech, cooperation with people different than you.
Those are our values and if you reject them, you are xenophobic, you are anti-American. It’s not illegal, I guess. But why are we respecting it and why are we encouraging it? Leftism encourages this sort of behavior. It’s time for the adults to enter the room and basically change the conversation or these cities are gone.

Certain groups are already calling for the Francis Scott Key Bridge, claiming that Key is a racist figure.
This was predicted by people on social media the instant the bridge collapsed. Lots of people were saying that Democrats would want to rename it for Rep. Elijah Cummings, but that’s not who is being floated as a replacement name.
The left just can’t help themselves in a situation like this. Any time they see an opening, they feel compelled to move.

A coalition of African American groups in Maryland is pushing for Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge to be renamed once reconstructed over what they say is racism connected to Key’s legacy.
The Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County recently voted unanimously to call for changing the names of two bridges in Maryland, including the Key Bridge, and will lobby Democratic Gov. Wes Moore and the state’s Democrat-controlled General Assembly on the proposal, the Baltimore Banner first reported Tuesday. The bridge collapsed in late March when a cargo ship struck a support beam.
The coalition includes groups such as an NAACP chapter and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, which wants the replacement bridge to be renamed in honor of the late Rep. Parren Mitchell, the first African American elected to the U.S. House from the state of Maryland. Mitchell was also a civil rights pioneer as the first Black graduate student admitted to the University of Maryland.
When asked about the proposal, Moore told Fox News Digital that he remains “laser-focused on providing closure to these families, clearing the channel, and rebuilding the bridge.”

Former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile appeared on ABC News This Week on Sunday and complained that when Joe Biden speaks nobody listens.
That’s not completely true, of course. Lots of people listen when he lies about his personal history, or when he says completely stupid things about domestic and foreign policy.
What many people do not do, is take him seriously or pay attention to his opinions. Maybe that’s what Brazile really meant.

Brazile’s blunt remarks came during a discussion on the U.S. policy toward Israel, in which she was asked if Biden needed to be more upfront with Americans about the war in Gaza.
“Absolutely. Not just in Israel, Ukraine. We are a superpower. He is the Commander In Chief. Absolutely, he should speak out more,” she urged, before seeming to take a swipe at the media.
“Also we should cover what he’s saying because often when he speaks, nobody listens.”
Brazile’s comments follow several reports detailing the White House’s frustrations with media reports on Biden’s age and cognitive abilities.

Stores throughout greater San Francisco have been closing for months. Major retailers have ditched the city, as well as pharmacies and grocery stores. All mainly due to crime and theft.
Now lawmakers in the city want to allow residents to sue grocery stores for closing.
This is completely backwards. The city could stop all of the theft tomorrow if they wanted to by simply enforcing the law. Then the stores wouldn’t close in the first place. But that would entail admitting that the left’s policies are wrong and don’t work, so they’re going after the stores.

A pair of progressive San Francisco lawmakers are pushing a bill that would allow residents in the crime-ravaged city to sue grocery stores that close up shop if they don’t give six months’ notice.
The proposal by San Francisco Board of Supervisors members Dean Preston and Aaron Peskin would require business to either find a successor grocer or work out a plan with residents in the neighborhood to ensure the availability of supermarket options.
The Grocery Protection Act – which is based on a proposal the board approved in 1984 that was vetoed by then-San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein — comes amid a rash of retail theft fueled by the city’s drug and homelessness crisis that has led to several business closures.
Whole Foods closed its Market Street location last year after there were 568 emergency calls lodged in a 13-month period due to incidents such as vagrants throwing food, yelling, fighting and attempting to defecate on the floor, according to the New York Times. At least 14 arrests were made at the location.

It has been maddening over the last several months to watch as colleges and universities indulge mobs of radical, anti-Israel students defending the terrorists of Hamas. Many schools, even in the Ivy League, have also tolerated disgusting displays of antisemitism.
Not at Pomona College in California, however.
Some of these students decided to invade a campus building where they didn’t belong and the school president made it clear that she wasn’t playing around. She warned the students to leave and ultimately suspended them and had them arrested.

After a pro-Palestinian protest erupted at a California college on Friday, the president cracked down, saying that the students would be “subject to immediate suspension.”
President Gabrielle Starr of Pomona College in Claremont, California, addressed the campus community after she said a group of protesters refused to identify themselves to Campus Safety and Student Affairs staff and verbally harassed staff, including using an anti-black racial slur when speaking to an administrator.
“Any participants in today’s events on the SCC lawn or in Alexander Hall, who turn out to be Pomona students, are subject to immediate suspension,” Starr wrote in a letter to students on Friday evening.
“Students from the other Claremont Colleges will be banned from Pomona’s campus and subject to discipline on their own campuses. All individual participants not part of The Claremont Colleges community are hereby banned from campus immediately,” Starr said.

Social media users this weekend were baffled by USA Today claiming that President Biden has “clamped down” on illegal immigration, blasting the outlet for making the claim in a recent piece about Biden’s visit to the site of the Baltimore bridge collapse.
The outlet published a report on Biden’s speech at the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse on Friday, where he grieved for the six immigrant workers who died after a cargo ship struck the bridge and triggered the destruction.
In addition to noting that Biden used the opportunity to urge “Congress to take swift action to approve funding to rebuild the bridge,” the piece also mentioned the president taking action on illegal immigration to America.
It stated, “Biden, who has clamped down on unauthorized border crossings, steered clear of mentioning the victims’ status in the country, instead focusing on their contribution to their community.”

One new development is that some of these hosts are now using their shows to advise Biden and other world leaders on foreign policy, specifically when it comes to the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Naturally, the hosts are taking the position of the far left.

Donald Trump is closing in on Joe Biden in blue New Jersey, according to new polling from Emerson College and The Hill. The race is within single digits.
Democrats will lose their minds if Trump takes Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania, but that will be nothing compared to the absolute meltdown we will see if Trump takes New Jersey.
Months ago, the Trump campaign said that they were going to make a serious play for New York and New Jersey. It looks like it will be worth their time to do some campaigning there.

Former President Donald Trump is within single digits of President Joe Biden in blue New Jersey, the latest survey from Emerson College Polling/PIX11/the Hill found.
The survey asked respondents, “In a hypothetical 2024 Presidential match-up between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, who would you vote for at this time?”
Less than a majority, 46 percent, said they would vote for Biden, followed by 39 percent who said they would support Trump. This puts Biden’s lead in the single digits in New Jersey — a difference of seven percentage points between the two. Another 15 percent remained undecided.
Biden’s lead shrinks even further when third-party candidates are thrown into the mix. In that scenario, 41 percent support Biden, followed by 36 percent who support Trump — a difference of five percentage points.

The Biden administration has been floating a ban on menthol cigarettes for months. Now they are apparently thinking of putting off the ban until after the election because they are worried about losing the support of black voters, although that is already happening.
It’s just one more reminder that this administration, and Democrats on the whole, care only about politics and retaining power. Everything they say and do is motivated by poll numbers and who they can manipulate into voting for them.
Not only that, but isn’t it a little bit racist to assume that only black people smoke menthol cigarettes?

A two-year-old proposal to ban menthol cigarettes may be delayed until after the 2024 election as President Joe Biden weighs a move that could risk eroding his support within the black community.
The Food and Drug Administration first proposed banning menthols and flavored cigars in April 2022 but has since missed two deadlines for finalizing the rule, the second of which expired at the end of March.
“The FDA remains committed to issuing the tobacco product standards for menthol in cigarettes and characterizing flavors in cigars as expeditiously as possible,” the agency said in a statement, noting that the process is in its final stage. “As we’ve made clear, these product standards remain at the top of our priorities.”
But some observers say other priorities are behind the delay, namely the lack of support for the idea as the election sharpens into view.

Far-left “Squad” Rep. Jamaal Bowman is in deep trouble in his bid for a third term in the House of Representatives.
In a shocking new poll obtained exclusively by The Post Wednesday, Westchester County Executive George Latimer leads Bowman 52% to 35% among Democratic primary voters in the 16th Congressional District, which takes in southern Westchester County and parts of the northeast Bronx.
Among Democrats who voted in at least three of the last four primaries, Latimer’s lead grows to 21 percentage points — 56% to 35%, according to the survey conducted by veteran Democratic pollster Mark Mellman for the pro-Latimer Democratic Majority for Israel.
Among Democrats who say they know both Latimer and Bowman — 76% of the primary electorate– Latimer’s lead expands even further to 26 points (60% to 34%).
A major problem for Bowman is that Latimer has a far better image among voters than the incumbent, who has been damaged by his self-inflicted actions and rhetoric.

There are some caveats here. For one, this is a partisan pollster, which is about all you are going to get when it comes to a congressional primary like this. No major non-partisan pollster is going to waste time and money finding whether one Democrat has the advantage over another in a deep-blue New York district. There’s also the fundamental issue of trying to poll smaller-scale races, which often leads it imperfect results.
With that said, you’d rather be Latimer right now given all the controversy surrounding Bowman, from his enthusiasm for fire alarms (which led to pleading guilty to a crime) to his support for Hamas.

Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank recently appeared on a podcast with Greg Gutfeld sidekick Tyrus and part of their conversation was about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
While O’Leary praised AOC’s ability to manipulate social media, he pointed out that her district looks like a third world country and mentioned the disaster she caused with Amazon early on in her tenure.
He ultimately concludes that he wouldn’t hire her to run a candy store.

For the past couple of months, Democrats and the media have been pushing a narrative that the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee have no money.
It’s not true, but that never stopped the left before now.
In March alone, Trump and the RNC raised a combined $65 million and they have more than $90 million on hand.

“Our campaign, working together with the RNC, has been steadily ramping up our fundraising efforts, and our March numbers are a testament to the overwhelming support for President Trump by voters all across the spectrum,” Trump campaign comanager Susie Wiles told reporters.
“Republicans may not be beneficiaries of the self-interested largesse from Hollywood and Silicon Valley elites, but President Trump is proud to be supported by donations from voters who are the backbone of this nation, which will fuel Republicans up and down the ballot,” she said.
This is an impressive haul.

In 2022, Biden claimed he had "a plan to refill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve" after draining it to its lowest level in four decades.

In March, New York Attorney General Letitia James was booed during a ceremony by members of the FDNY. After the booing, there were chants of ‘Trump!’ from the crowd.
When officials from the FDNY recently appeared before a New York judge on an unrelated matter, this incident came up and the judge suggested that this was all about race.
This has been the left’s lazy, go-to excuse for any kind of criticism for years.

Brooklyn Federal Court Judge Nicholas Garaufis reportedly cited the incident involving members of the New York City Fire Department booing state Attorney General Letitia James and chanting in favor of former President Trump last month in suggesting that a racist culture persists at the FDNY.
Garaufis recently ordered FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh and the city’s Corporation Counsel, Sylvia Hinds-Radix, to appear before him at a status conference scheduled to discuss the settlement in the Vulcan Society of Black firefighters’ case against the FDNY in May, the New York Daily News reported.
At the last status conference on March 14, Vulcan Society President Regina Wilson complained to Garaufis about a March 8 incident where some members of the FDNY booed James and chanted “Trump! Trump! Trump!” as the attorney general took the stage during a promotion ceremony at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn.
Here’s what the judge said:
“Get the EEO [Equal Employment Opportunity] office straightened out. Take some of your brilliant lawyers from the Corporation Counsel and put them in there and start holding hearings. That’s not a request, that’s a direction,” Garaufis responded, according to N.Y. Daily News. “I’ve lived in New York City all my life. I know what the problem is. And believe me, front and center is what happened the other day. This doesn’t have to do with politics, this has to do with race.”

A new poll from the Wall Street Journal is full of bad news for Biden and great news for Trump.
Trump is leading Joe Biden in six out of seven swing states and that’s not all. By a wide margin, voters see Trump as more mentally fit for the job of president.
You have to take polls with a grain of salt, but things have been moving in Trump’s direction for weeks now.

Republican Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in six battleground states in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, according to a Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday that cited concerns about the economy and Biden’s performance.
Trump garnered a lead of between 2 and 8 percentage points among voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina on a ballot that included third-party and independent candidates, the Journal said. The results were similar in a one-on-one matchup with Biden, it said.
In Wisconsin, a seventh state where the contest is expected to be close, Biden was ahead by 3 points on a multiple candidate ballot and tied in a head-to-head contest with Trump, the Journal said…
Trump was viewed as having the better physical and mental fitness for the job by 48% of respondents, compared to 28% for Biden, the poll showed.
These numbers are excellent.

Like Trump, Joe Biden won his party’s primary races this week in Wisconsin and other states. However, voters in these states also sent a message to Biden and Democrats and it would be very unwise for them to ignore it.
Thousands of voters cast their vote for uninstructed or uncommitted, meaning that they were casting a protest vote, just like what happened to Joe Biden in Michigan.
In Wisconsin, the number of uninstructed votes was greater than the number of votes that decided Wisconsin for Biden in 2020. That is bad news for Biden.

President Biden’s campaign received a significant amount of “protest votes” in Tuesday night’s primaries, adding to the narrative that the campaign is having a difficult time uniting a fractured party base.
In the Wisconsin Democratic primary, 8.4% of voters selected the “uninstructed” option rather than vote for President Biden, which amounted to almost 48,000 votes. Additionally, 17,553 votes, 3.1%, were cast for Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips, who is no longer in the race.
In Connecticut, the vote total for “uncommitted” was 11.5%, just under 8,000 votes. In Rhode Island, 14.9% of voters were “uncommitted,” which totaled just under 4,000 votes.
The uncommitted results came after activists across several states have pushed voters to refrain from voting for Biden in protest over various issues, including the White House’s handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.
Some of those activists in Wisconsin took a victory lap Wednesday after votes rolled in.
This does not bode well for Biden in November.

Jill Biden appeared on CBS Mornings this week and got a little testy when one of the hosts brought up her husband’s awful poll numbers.
Lots of polls right now show Trump leading Biden in most, if not all, of the battleground states.
Doctor Jill didn’t want to hear it.

Joe Biden hasn’t been on such a live show in a very long time, likely because his campaign can’t trust that it wouldn’t be a complete disaster. Jill Biden went on CBS on Wednesday morning but was only on to surprise the person selected to be Teacher of the Year. But even in that limited capacity, she had some of her own problems while she was on the show and the panel asked her a real question about the presidential race.
One of the people on the CBS panel asked what was it like in the White House when polls like the Wall Street Journal’s new one land in the White House and he’s “losing in all the battleground states.” That’s when Jill Biden snapped at him claiming that wasn’t true.
“No, he’s not losing in all the battleground states. He’s coming up. And he’s even or doing better,” she claimed. “You know what? Once people start to focus in and they see their two choices, it’s obvious that Joe will win this election.”

Joe Biden’s campaign seems to think they can flip the state of Florida to blue in the 2024 election. That’s a pretty bold statement to make today.
Florida is now a solidly red state which went for Trump in 2016 and 2020. The state has only become more Republican since then.
It’s hard to tell if the Biden people are serious about this or if they’re just trying to sound confident in Joe’s chances in November.

The Biden team is claiming it can beat presumptive Republican nominee, former President Trump, due to his ongoing legal troubles and financial penalties.
“Make no mistake: Florida is not an easy state to win, but it is a winnable one for President Biden, especially given Trump’s weak, cash-strapped campaign, and serious vulnerabilities within his coalition,” wrote Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez in a memo this week. Democratic coalitions are “growing and energized,” according to the campaign.
Rodriguez went on to say that Florida is “a state where President Biden has a compelling story of results, Trump and Rick Scott’s extreme agenda is making Floridians’ lives worse, and the Democratic coalition is growing and energized,” according to the report.
The Biden team’s efforts to flip Florida will likely be an uphill battle – the Sunshine State has become a Republican stronghold in recent years, though it has a long history of changing color.

A former programmer for Google from Florida has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for threatening U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Roberts.
Neal Brij Sidhwaney has been in custody since he was caught making a threatening phone call to Roberts and pleaded guilty in December.
A psychological evaluation determined that the man has some serious mental issues but he was found competent to stand trial.

A Florida man has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for calling the U.S. Supreme Court and threatening to kill Chief Justice John Roberts in a profanity-laced voicemail.
Neal Brij Sidhwaney, 43, was sentenced on Monday by U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales in Jacksonville, Florida, after pleading guilty in December to transmitting an interstate threat to kill.
He has been in custody since his arrest on Aug. 18, about two weeks after he placed a call to the Supreme Court on July 21 and left a threatening voice mail for Roberts saying, among other things, “I will f—— kill you,” prosecutors said…
That evaluation, which was posted online by Politico before it was sealed, showed a psychologist concluded Sidhwaney was competent to stand trial even though he suffered from “delusional disorder with psychosis.”
The psychologist said Sidhwaney’s functioning improved with medication, but that the former Google programmer maintained a “paranoid belief system.” His mother reported he “becomes enraged watching the news,” triggering him to write letters and emails or make phone calls.
Some people just can’t handle watching the news. If they’re prone to rage, it only makes them worse.

The state of Oregon is reversing their controversial legalization of hard drugs after experiencing a record number of overdose deaths.
Their Democrat Governor Tina Kotek recently signed the bill making it official.
The changes under the law won’t take effect until September, but the situation in Oregon is dire.

Oregon has legislatively completed its U-turn on a short-lived liberal policy that decriminalized the possession of small amounts of certain drugs.
Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, a Democrat, on Monday signed into law a bill that reverses Measure 110, a 2020 law that voters approved to decriminalize most illegal possession of controlled substance offenses and redirect much of the state’s marijuana tax revenue to fund grants for addiction services.
Around 58% of Oregon residents approved the initial measure but since then, addiction and overdose deaths have skyrocketed in Oregon and nationwide as fentanyl swept across the country. In August, 56% of Oregonians said they disapproved of the pioneering drug law and both Republicans and Democrats introduced legislation to roll back the controversial measure.
The new law, HB 4002, makes so-called personal use possession a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail. It enables police to confiscate the drugs and crack down on their use on sidewalks and in parks. It also establishes ways for treatment to be offered as an alternative to criminal penalties by encouraging law enforcement agencies to create deflection programs that would divert people to addiction and mental health services instead of the criminal justice system.
This change won’t be popular with the left or Libertarians, but it will probably save a lot of lives.

Students at St. George’s School in Rhode Island, a prep school that Tucker Carlson attended and sent his children to, wanted Tucker to come and speak on campus, but faculty and administrators won’t allow it, claiming it’s just too dangerous.
Progressives in academia do not want students exposed to conservative voices and will use any dumb excuse to silence people.
Tucker says that he was actually told that ‘people could be killed’ if he is allowed to speak at the school.

Of course, the real reason they didn’t want him was because they couldn’t deal with his ideas or the thought of having their worldview challenged.
Finally, he arranged to do a Zoom call with interested students, telling them the whole episode was “wrong”:
I found, honestly in my exchanges with the administration at St. George’s, a total resistance to having anybody who they don’t agree with even in the same world. Like I’m not on your campus right now because they — the campus that I went to, and donated to and sent my two children to — because they wouldn’t let me come.
He claimed the reason is simple: it’s his politics.
And why wouldn’t they let me come? Well, of course, because they hate my politics. And my feeling was, well, you know, that’s wrong.
First of all, I want to be there. I want to meet the kids. I want to see the kids. And I feel it would be good for everyone to have this happen. And I don’t want a mandatory chapel where everyone has to come and hear me; I don’t believe in that.
I don’t want to press my views on people who don’t want to hear them.

Democratic strategist James Carville warned Sunday that the Democratic Party’s eroding numbers among young minority voters are “horrifying” heading into the presidential election.
“I’ve been very vocal about this,” the former Bill Clinton campaign strategist said on his “Carville’s Classroom” podcast. “It’s horrifying our numbers among younger voters, particularly younger blacks, younger latinos … younger people of color. Particularly males.”
“We’re not shedding them, they’re leaving in droves,” he added.
Last year, 66% of black adults leaned or identified as Democrat while 19% said they leaned or were Republican, according to a Gallup survey released in February.
The 47-percentage-point spread is the lowest in at least 25 years — and down 19 percentage points from 2020, when 77% of black adults identified as Democrats and just 11% identified as Republicans.
Similarly, the poll found 47% of Hispanics calling themselves Democrats and 35% identifying as Republican, whereas in 2021, 57% of Hispanics identified as Democrat and 26% said they were Republican.

The Biden White House came under fire this week for promoting the ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’ on the same day as Easter.
Some people have noticed, however, that the Spanish language accounts for the White House did not mention this. Why do you suppose that is?
Is it possible that team Biden knows this would have been a losing move with Spanish speakers? Are they admitting that Latino voters would have been offended by such a message?

The White House’s Spanish-language account on X is not simply a replication of content on its English-language page, critics noticed on Sunday.
While the Biden administration wished followers of both pages a happy Easter, it was only the English-language account that celebrated the Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31. On “La Casa Bianca” page, the White House commemorated Cesar Chavez Day.
“Today we remember César Chávez and his noble efforts to bring dignity to the work of agricultural workers in our country,” the post said, according to a translation. “His legacy lives on in the administration’s values and its support for social justice and economic equality for organized labor.”
In English, however, “The White House” account posted this: “Transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our nation. On Transgender Day of Visibility, our Administration honors the extraordinary courage of transgender Americans and reaffirms our commitment to forming a more perfect union – where all people are treated equally.”
EXPOSED: The White House is deliberately pushing differing messages to its different language-speaking audiences.

Millions of Americans are not better off now than they were four years ago and that’s a direct result of the effect Biden has had on the country.
Since this makes Biden look bad, the left has to somehow negate the question and get people to stop thinking this way.

Florida has become a solidly red state but the Biden campaign can’t ignore Trump’s massive gains among Latino voters, so this week the Biden campaign did an event to reach out to these voters in Florida.
In a move suggesting that they’re not very serious about this, they sent ‘second gentleman’ Doug Emhoff, husband of Vide President Kamala Harris.
This choice caused some people to think that Biden has already conceded these voters and the state of Florida.

However, Miami Herald reporter Fabiola Santiago pointed out that there were no local media or big-name Hispanic celebrities in attendance— which he suggested means that the Democrat Party has accepted the fact that Republicans have the state in the bag.

Or like eloquent New York congressman Hakeem Jeffries, in line to be speaker of the House if Democrats regain the majority.
Democrats could have brought to town Biden’s education secretary, Miguel Cardona, a respected educator born in Connecticut of Puerto Rican parents. He could’ve eloquently taken on the diminishing value of a Florida education based on GOP political indoctrination, the way the state is alienating instead of embracing minorities, and the appointments of the governor’s cronies to important education posts.
Democrats also could have brought to the launch Biden’s Cuban American Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — and pushed back very publicly locally on the sham effort by Republicans, including the Cuban Americans from Miami in Congress, to impeach him.

A reporter for Politico recently committed an act of journalism by calling out Joe Biden for talking to Hollywood celebrities more than he talks to the actual press.
Prior to his big fundraiser in New York City, Biden spoke to actor Jason Bateman on his podcast. Jennifer Haberkorn of Politico noted that it’s the second time that he has appeared with Bateman, which is more than he has spoken to print reporters who cover the White House.
It’s so unusual to see Biden called out in this way by a member of the media.

Haberkorn ripped Biden on X on Friday morning in response to a piece from The Hill detailing the president’s recent sit-down with actors Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes on their “SmartLess” podcast. Biden was previously a guest on “SmartLess” on Nov. 3, 2022.
Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama joined Biden for the interview that took place before a swanky celebrity-studded Biden campaign fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Thursday night.
The reporter shared an X post with the article and added a comment, stating, “Number of times Jason Bateman has done a sit-down interview with President Biden: 2. Nearly every print reporter who covers the White House: 0.”

Members of the White House press corps – journalists – are reportedly stealing little odds and ends from Air Force One, things like glasses and plates.
They apparently want them as souvenirs and keepsakes.
These items belong to the American taxpayers, who paid for them, but these journalists don’t care. They just want an item from the presidential plane to put in their personal collections.

None of the members of the press corps reportedly responded to O’Donnell’s email.

The liberal filmmaker seems to think that Swift holds the key to Biden’s reelection, as if her endorsement is going to make millions of Americans forget why they are planning to vote for Trump in November in rejection of Biden’s disastrous policies.
Reiner does not seem to realize the terrible optics of this. If Biden’s reelection hinges on an endorsement of Swift, what does that say about Biden? And what does all of this say about Reiner?

Reiner has been vocal about politics and social issues over the last few years. His new documentary, “God and Country,” looked at the “implications of Christian Nationalism” and how it can distort the constitutional republic of the U.S. and Christianity itself.
The “Spinal Tap” director, a longtime Democratic Party supporter, previously praised Biden as a “decent law-abiding person” and called former President Donald Trump a “pathologically lying criminal.”
Swift has not made an official endorsement, but there’s no question it would be Biden if and when she makes that public. The pop star supported Biden in 2020 and has been strongly critical of Trump.

They have been trying to push him through the senate confirmation process for months, but Republicans have blocked the nominee because he has ties to people who were in the domestic terror group the Weather Underground and other radicals, including cop killers.
Now even senate Democrats are objecting to Mangi’s nomination, meaning that the Biden administration should probably stop wasting everyone’s time with this.

Mangi is seeking the Senate’s confirmation but has faced pushback in recent months from Senate Republicans due to his affiliation with anti-cop and anti-Israel groups.
“Given the concerns I’ve heard from law enforcement in Nevada, I am not planning to vote to confirm this nominee,” Rosen said in a statement Wednesday…
Manchin on Friday said he would not vote for Mangi, describing the Biden-backed lawyer as not a “reasonable” nominee. Last Tuesday, Cortez Masto became the first Senate Democrat to publicly oppose Mangi’s confirmation, citing Mangi’s role as an advisory board member at the Alliance of Families for Justice.

Earlier this week, students at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee decided to ‘occupy’ the chancellor’s office because the school wouldn’t let them vote on a measure to divest from Israel.
Surprisingly, the school suspended some of the students and had others arrested. The students who were arrested spent one night in jail and apparently now see themselves as civil rights heroes who were treated unjustly by the school.
In the video below, one student talks about how he was treated better in jail than at the school because he had access to food and water. You really should watch this video and try not to laugh. The self regard of these students is so off the charts.

So here in New York City, the subway system is running a special lottery, but unlike my used underwear raffle, it’s a lottery that no one wants to win. Because with random attacks on the trains rising faster than Truth Social’s stock price, your chances of getting through the subway system without encountering a raving lunatic are about the same as getting through Jesse’s book.
New York subway is so dangerous these days, it could be Ukraine or even San Francisco, or that time I ate Taco Bell right before my water aerobics class. So as New York Democrat leaders, all of whom, by the way, have armed protection details, hold press conferences telling us they feel our pain and are praying for the families.
What they conveniently ignore is that none of this is actually random, it’s as predictable as women fainting when I forget to close my robe. Because it’s the policies of these leaders, most of which were forced through in the wake of George Floyd, that are directly causing all of this. It’s why today, blue cities are all turning red, blood-red. Here in NYC, the man arrested for the murder of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller during a car stop had 21 prior arrests, including multiple felonies.
Hey Dems, I know you don’t like the old three strikes rule, but could we maybe get a 20 strikes rule? His partner, who was driving the car had 14 priors, including attempted murder.

Virginia’s Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin vetoed more than two dozen gun control related bills sent to him this week by Democrats who control the state legislature.
It doesn’t matter how bad crime gets or how desperate Americans are to defend themselves and their families, Democrats will not stop pushing gun control.
This is why elections matter. Had Glenn Youngkin lost to Democrat Terry McAuliffe, these gun control bills would likely be laws right now.

From a ban on some semi-automatic weapons to gun purchase waiting periods, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin vetoed more than two dozen gun bills sent to his desk this week by the Democrat-controlled General Assembly.
On Tuesday, the Republican governor said he signed 31 bills into law, vetoed 30, and offered amendments to six.
“I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of Virginia, and that absolutely includes protecting the right of law-abiding Virginians to keep and bear arms,” he said in a statement. “I am pleased to sign four public safety bills which are commonsense reforms with significant bipartisan support from the General Assembly, and offer recommendations to several bills which, if adopted, will make it harder for criminals to use guns in the commission of a violent act.”
Youngkin’s office released a 23-page document with his veto statements, including on some high-profile pieces of legislation, such as the ban on what Democrats refer to as “assault weapons.”

During a recent appearance on MSNBC, far left Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said that he is investigating two major automakers for making cars that are too easy for young people to steal.
This is the sort of backwards thinking that the left is forcing on the rest of the country.
They don’t want to charge criminals for stealing cars, they want to attack the car makers for making the cars too easy to steal. It’s really amazing that Ellison can go on national TV and say this with a straight face.

We’ve seen a lot of bad approaches to crime from those on the left, particularly from progressive prosecutors who seem to want to upend the enforcement of the law. We’ve been seeing it a lot lately — people who are let out who never should have been let out and then go on to commit horrific crimes.
There’s a frequent failure to hold bad actors responsible. We see in the cases of gun crimes, for example, where the fault somehow is on the gun, the NRA, or the Republican Party rather than on the bad actor and the people who haven’t held him responsible in the past for his bad acts. Somehow, it’s the evil gun’s fault.
Now we have another entrant into this bizarre kind of thinking from Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison…
“But we have to go upstream, and we got to make sure that the automobiles are not so easy to steal that they are a tempting, attractive nuisance for young people. Right now we are investigating two major automakers because their cars are dramatically too easy to steal for young people,” he claimed.

Democrat strategist Paul Begala compared third party candidates to cockroaches during a recent appearance on CNN. Isn’t it great when liberals make it clear what kind of people they really are?
One other reason why this segment is important is because it shows how absolutely terrified Democrats are about third party candidates taking votes away from Biden.
As Begala notes, it doesn’t take much for a third party candidate to completely change the outcome of an election.

Paul Begala, a former adviser to Bill Clinton, compared third-parties to cockroaches on Monday and said Robert F. Kennedy Jr would throw “the whole election to Donald Trump,” which he said was a very real threat.
While discussing the Biden campaign and DNC effort to “diminish” RFK Jr.’s third-party effort, Begala, a CNN political commentator, suggested Kennedy could throw the election to Trump and compared third-parties to cockroaches.
“Third parties elected Donald Trump in 2016, about six to seven percent of Americans voted third-party. That third-party vote dropped to less than two, which is how Biden won. So, anything over two, Democrats are in trouble. Kennedy alone is getting 15 in some of these places. So yeah, my view is third parties, they’re like cockroaches in the kitchen, okay?”
He added, “It’s not what they carry off that upsets you. It’s what they fall into and foul up. Bobby Kennedy can fall into every swing state and foul it up for Joe Biden and throw the whole election to Donald Trump. So, I’m very happy as a Democrat that the Democrats are on this because it’s a very real threat,” Begala said.

Jon Stewart recently went after Trump on the Daily Show, claiming that Trump overvaluing his property, as the Letitia James case claims, was not a victimless crime. In truth it wasn’t a crime at all, it’s standard operating procedure in real estate deals.
But it turns out that Jon Stewart did the exact same thing with his New York City apartment.

Comedian Jon Stewart ranted this week that Donald Trump’s civil real-estate case overvaluing his properties was “not victimless,” yet when it came to his own home, Stewart benefited from a similar inflation…
But it didn’t take long for internet sleuths to look into Stewart’s own property history, which shows his New York City penthouse sold for 829% more than its assessed value, records confirmed by The Post reveal.
In 2014, Stewart sold his 6,280-square-foot Tribeca duplex to financier Parag Pande for $17.5 million. The property’s asking price at that time is not available in listing records.
But according to 2013-2014 assessor records obtained by The Post, the property had the estimated market-value at only $1.882 million. The actual assessor valuation was even lower, at $847,174.
Records also show that Stewart paid significantly lower property taxes, which were calculated based on that assessor valuation price — precisely what he called Trump out for doing in his Monday monologue.

Officials in New York City have begun giving out prepaid debit cards to migrant families residing in the Big Apple.
The first batch of debit cards, which are reportedly meant to be used by the illegal immigrants to purchase food and baby supplies, were handed out Monday to a handful of migrant families in the city, New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ office confirmed to Fox News Digital.
The effort is part of a reported $53 million pilot program to hand out prepaid credit cards to migrant families housed in hotels despite public outcry.
The program, which the mayor’s office confirmed will provide migrant families of four with two children under 5 with up to $350 each week until the end of their stay, began with a limited number of families on Monday and will expand to about 115 families, or roughly 460 people, over the next week.

His personal history has made him a controversial figure in some quarters; in June 2020, a statue of him in San Francisco was taken down.

Former Joe Biden spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on her show this week that she does not appreciate being compared to former RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
Psaki claims that her point is not about Democrats vs. Republicans, a laughable point.
She paints a picture of herself as a noble truth teller, as opposed to McDaniel.

“I got into public service for the same reason many people do, to serve the American people,” Psaki said.
Psaki, who previously worked for former President Barack Obama before becoming the White House press secretary to President Biden, said those with experience like her only matter and have value to viewers when “paired with honesty and good faith.”
“Those qualities are especially important right now at a time when our institutions are under attack and when our democracy is in danger,” she continued. “And our democracy is in danger because of the lies that people like Ronna McDaniel have pushed on this country.”
“Look, this is not about Republicans versus Democrats. This is not about red versus blue. This is about truth versus lies. Service to the country versus service to one man committed to toppling our democratic system,” Psaki added. “That is the type of experience that Ronna McDaniel brings to the table and that experience does not get us to a deeper understanding of anything in the public debate.”

A majority of American voters have doubts about Joe Biden’s mental fitness and think he is too old to be president, according to new polling.
This is an issue that Biden and Democrats have been trying to deal with for months, but it only seems to be getting worse for them.
The problem is that Biden’s struggles seem to be accelerating. He certainly isn’t going to get better with age.

Poll: Majority of Voters Have Doubts About Joe Biden’s Mental Fitness, Say He Is ‘Too Old’ to Be President
A majority of U.S. voters “have doubts” about President Joe Biden’s mental fitness ahead of the November presidential election, a new Harvard-Harris Poll found.
Out of 2,111 registered voters polled between March 20-21, 2024, 57 percent said, “I have doubts about his fitness” when asked if they believe Biden is fit to serve as president of the United States. In contrast, 43 percent believe “he is mentally fit.”
By political affiliation, 27 percent of Democrats, 85 percent of Republicans, and 61 percent of independents/others say they have doubts about Biden’s mental fitness. Only 15 percent of Republicans and 39 percent of independents say Biden is mentally fit, as do 73 percent of Democrats.
Respondents were also asked, “Do you think Joe Biden is showing he is too old to be President or do you think he is showing he is fit to be president?”
Sixty-three percent say Biden is “showing he is too old,” while 37 percent say he is “showing he is fit to be president.”
David Strom of Hot Air adds this:
Most interesting of all is the fact that voters are largely discounting Donald Trump’s legal troubles, with his poll numbers not budging much even were he to get convicted. Whether that is because people think the legal attacks are illegitimate or because they have been around so long that they have been factored in, voters don’t seem inclined to change their opinion about who they will vote for.
It’s pretty clear why that is: most voters don’t think the country is on the right track, and they have no confidence that Biden is up to the job. They see him as old, mentally spent, focused on the wrong issues, and possibly corrupt.
People can see what the establishment is trying to do to Trump and they do not approve.

The state of California has a new $20 minimum wage going into effect on April 1st and some fast food chains are already slashing jobs.
Who could have predicted such a thing, besides almost everyone?
This will only spur more innovation in automation. Many fast food restaurants already use automated cashiers. At some point, we will see fast food restaurants that are 100 percent automated. This new minimum wage will only bring that about faster.

California restaurants are reportedly laying off staff and reducing hours for other team members in an effort to cut costs ahead of a California state law taking effect on April 1 that will raise fast-food workers’ hourly wage to $20.
In the months leading up to the wage mandate, California eateries, particularly pizza joints, have established a plan to cut jobs, according to state records obtained by The Wall Street Journal.
Pizza Hut and Round Table Pizza — a Menlo Park, Calif.-founded chain of 400 pizza parlors, mostly on the West Coast — have said they plan to lay off around 1,280 delivery drivers this year, according to records that major employers must submit to the state before large layoffs, The Journal reported.
Pizza Hut already sent notices to employees informing them of their last day.
Michael Ojeda, a Pizza Hut driver for eight years in Ontario, Calif., received one of the notes from Pizza Hut franchisee Southern California Pizza in December telling him that his last day of work would be in February.

And what has this led to? The state is running out of cash for shelters. Off the Press reports:
Massachusetts is spending about $75 million each month on state-run shelters, a massive jump in expenses that comes as Gov. Maura Healey’s administration is expected to run out of cash for emergency services in early to mid-April without another financial infusion.
Beacon Hill lawmakers have spent most of the new year putting together a plan to pay soaring shelter bills just as state revenues have consistently come in below expectations, Washington has offered no help, and demand on services continues to persist at historic levels.
With cash likely running out ahead of an April time window, the Legislature is now locked in negotiations over a new spending plan that could allow Healey to access dollars at a critical moment. Top budget writers say they are confident they can find a compromise before time runs out.
House Ways and Means Chair Aaron Michlewitz said he understands the need to produce a deal on a spending bill “as quickly as possible.”

Democrat strategist and former Bill Clinton staffer James Carville has outraged members of his own party by saying that Democrats are dominated by “preachy females.”
He is not far off. He was basically referring to AWFLs – Affluent White Female Liberals.
Even if it’s true, Carville wasn’t supposed to say this out loud.

In an interview published Saturday with New York Times opinion columnist Maureen Dowd, Carville voiced concerns about the culture of the Democratic Party and how it could be impacting Biden’s support among voters, especially those that are male.
“A suspicion of mine is that there are too many preachy females … ‘Don’t drink beer, don’t watch football, don’t eat hamburgers, this is not good for you,’” he said. “The message is too feminine: ‘Everything you’re doing is destroying the planet. You’ve got to eat your peas.’”…
“If you listen to Democratic elites — NPR is my go-to place for that — the whole talk is about how women, and women of color, are going to decide this election. I’m like: ‘Well, 48 percent of the people that vote are males. Do you mind if they have some consideration?” Carville said.
