Moderna Posts $1.2 Billion Loss as Demand For COVID Jab Collapses, Promises Investors ‘Next-Generation’ Vaccine to Tackle New Strains

By: Ben Kew — May 4th 2024 at 19:20
Credit: Vigilant News

The American drug company Moderna has posted a first-quarter loss of $1.2 billion after demand for their dodgy COVID-19 vaccine collapsed.

Sales of the company’s COVID-19 vaccine were a mere $167 million over the first quarter of 2024, compared with $2.8 billion over the same period last year.

The company said in its earnings report:

This decline aligns with the anticipated transition to a seasonal COVID-19 vaccine market. In the prior year period, the company recognized revenue primarily from delivered doses deferred from 2022.

In the U.S., the company is reaffirming its 2024 product sales outlook as it enters the second year of the commercial endemic COVID market. Moderna’s focus is on working with public health officials, health care providers and pharmacies to increase vaccination coverage rates to reduce the substantial burden of COVID-19.

Yet according to The Epoch Times, the company sought to reassure investors with the promise of a “next-generation” COVID vaccine that will allegedly help combat different strains of the virus.

The outlet reported:

Moderna touted the results of Phase 3 clinical trials of its “next-generation” COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA-1283), boasting higher immune response against both new and original virus strains than its original formula. Clinical trials are also underway on a combination one-shot vaccine against the flu and COVID-19, which Moderna has dubbed mRNA-1083. Data from the study are expected at some point in 2024.

The drugmaker also reaffirmed that it expects to receive approval from regulators for its respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine in time for it to be included in this fall’s vaccine campaign in the United States. The company has expressed hope that its experimental shots—including for RSV, flu, and cancer—will compensate for dwindling COVID-19 vaccine revenue.

Modern is far from alone in feeling the pinch. The German pharmaceutical giant Pfizer also saw its profits decline 40 percent compared with the first quarter of 2023, with the company similarly blaming the fall in demand for COVID vaccines on their disappointing results.

San Diego Jury Convicts Two Antifa Militants of Felony Conspiracy to Riot in Connection with Brutal Attack on Trump Supporters

By: Cristina Laila — May 4th 2024 at 19:00

A San Diego jury on Friday convicted two Antifa militants of felony conspiracy to riot in connection with a brutal attack on Trump supporters in 2021.

In 2022 a San Diego grand jury indicted 11 Antifa and BLM militants for attacking Trump supporters during a “Patriot March” demonstration in Pacific Beach in 2021.

In January 2021, a mob of Antifa terrorists assaulted a small group of Trump supporters in San Diego, California.

Antifa goons attacked the Trump supporters with pepper spray after a verbal confrontation escalated on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach.

WATCH:

According to the San Diego Tribune, there was a heavy police presence on the boardwalk and law enforcement declared the gathering “unlawful” by early afternoon on January 10, 2021.

Police arrested several violent protestors that day and a grand jury in San Diego indicted 11 defendants on Tuesday, according to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.

The indictment actually calls out Antifa by name and alleges all defendants “are all affiliated with Antifa” and used “force, fear, and violence to further their interests and suppress the interests of others.”

In 2022 the grand jury brought 29 felony counts, including conspiracy.

On Friday, a San Diego grand jury convicted Brian Cortez Lightfoot, 27, and Jeremy Jonathan White, 41, both of Los Angeles.

“We want to thank the jury for their service and for reaching their just guilty verdicts on the two remaining defendants in the Antifa conspiracy case. This was a complex case with 11 defendants indicted and now all convicted — nine by guilty pleas and two by jury verdict. The DA team worked tirelessly on this case in order to be sure our community remains safe, and that the rule of law is followed.” – San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan said.

CBS 8 reported:

Two men were convicted Friday of conspiracy to commit a riot stemming from a 2021 Pacific Beach protest that turned violent, with prosecutors alleging the men joined other self-identified anti-fascists with plans to violently attack those on the opposite side of the political spectrum.

Brian Cortez Lightfoot, 27, and Jeremy Jonathan White, 41, both from the Los Angeles area, were prosecuted along with nine others in connection with the Jan. 9, 2021, “Patriot March” that devolved into brawls and violence.

Lightfoot was additionally convicted by jurors of five counts of unlawful use of tear gas. The jury, which began their deliberations more than a week ago, also acquitted the men on one assault count each, but hung on numerous other counts of assault and unlawful use of tear gas.

Lightfoot and White are slated for sentencing late next month. Their nine co-defendants pleaded guilty to various charges prior to the trial and some have already been sentenced to prison.

A jury in San Diego has convicted two So Cal Antifa members of felony conspiracy to riot following a brutal attack. This brings 12-for-12 convictions of Antifa members, effectively breaking up the group cluster. Read my new report cowritten with @EvaKnott:https://t.co/142vefp4aa

Ohio State House Higher Education Committee Passes Bill to Protect Women’s Sports

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 18:40

The Gateway Pundit reported that the Biden regime proudly announced that women will be forced to allow men in their locker rooms and bathrooms with a new 1577-page Title IX ruling.

Because the Biden Regime won’t do it, lawmakers in states throughout the country have been stepping up to protect women and girls.

In Ohio, the Ohio House Higher Education Committee passed House Bill 183  , which mandates that Ohio K-12 schools and colleges enforce bathroom and locker room usage based on students’ sex assigned at birth.

The Ohio Capital-Journal reports:

State Reps. Beth Lear, R-Galena, and Adam Bird, R-New Richmond, introduced House Bill 183 which would require Ohio K-12 schools and colleges to mandate that students could only use the bathroom or locker room that matches their sex assigned at birth. It would also prohibit schools from allowing students to share overnight accommodations with the opposite sex.

HB 183 now awaits further consideration in the House, which is next scheduled to be in session April 24.

Proponents argue that HB 183 addresses safety concerns, while critics contend it discriminates against transgender individuals. State Rep. Gayle Manning expressed hope for further discussions on the bill but ultimately voted in favor, citing concerns over potential legal liabilities and rising tuition costs in higher education institutions.

Biden’s dismantling of Title IX, meant to protect women and girls in sports, means women will be forced to compete against men annd women will be forced to accept men on their sports teams.

Women and young girls will be forced to share locker rooms and bathrooms based on gender identity rather than biological sex.

Young girls everywhere will be subject to the type of sexual exposure allegedly faced by the female athletes forced to share a locker room with trans swimmer Lia Thomas.

Preferred pronouns are also now mandated, and even the single use of the “wrong” pronoun can require discipline.

And, as May Mailman, Director of Independent Women’s Law Center, notes, Title IX is not a college law.  This will impact girls as young as those in the Headstart program, geared to children from three to five years old, those in daycare, and those in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Other states stepping up to protect women and girls is Florida.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had strong words for Biden and his attack on women, “We will not comply.”

“Florida rejects Joe Biden’s attempt to rewrite Title IX.  We will not comply, and we will fight back.”

“We are not going to let Joe Biden try to inject men into women’s activities.”

“We are not going to let Joe Biden undermine the rights of parents. And we are not going to let Joe Biden abuse his Constitutional authority to try to impose these policies on us here in Florida. We stand with opportunities; we are not going to let Biden get away with it.”

Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters condemned Biden’s recent rewrite of Title IX, labeling it as “radical and illegal” and a direct assault on the rights of states, families, and specifically young women and girls.

Walters made it clear that Oklahoma does not intend to comply with the unconstitutional federal mandate.

“President Biden deciding to rewrite Title IX is one of the most radical and illegal moves we’ve ever seen from the federal government. It’s an attack on our states. It’s an attack on our families. And it’s an attack on our young women and girls. We will not stand for this in Oklahoma,” Walters.

In addition to Florida and Oklahoma, other states that have taken steps to protect single-sex spaces include Utah, and Alabama.

Students at Rutgers University Stand Up to Anti-American Protests, Wave American Flags, Sing National Anthem (VIDEO)

By: David Greyson — May 4th 2024 at 18:20

It is encouraging to know that in the midst of pro-Hamas thuggery on college campuses, that patriotic American students are starting to speak out in support for our Nation.

Students at Rutgers University showed their support for the United States this past Thursday, countering the protests by pro-Hamas agitators.

Students who were fed up with pro-Hamas thugs on their campus took a stand by chanting “USA” while waving an American flag.

Fox News reported:

Rutgers students who went viral for waving American flags at a student rally responded to the school administration caving to demands from student protesters.

Anti-Israel protesters on campus at Rutgers University were countered by a large group of patriotic students waving an American flag and chanting “USA!” on Thursday.

Video from Thursday afternoon showed two competing groups of students chanting pro-American and pro-Palestinian slogans on Voorhees Mall in New Jersey.

“As the anti-Israel group yelled ‘Free, Free Palestine!’ and ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!’ the patriotic group could be heard repeatedly chanting ‘USA! USA! USA!'” Fox News reported.

Students can be seen showing their support for the United States, countering the anti-American protests that have invaded their university.

A Rutgers student named Ben was interviewed by Fox News for being one of the many students who stood up for the US and his university.

“Ben was the student holding the American flag high,” Fox and Friends Pete Hegseth said.

“How did so many people show up? Was it coordinated?” Hegseth asked Ben.

“It wasn’t really coordinated at all. My friends and I just sort of came with the flag more as just to go. We didn’t really think much of it at the time,” Ben said.

MUST SEE: Expectant Father Breaks Down After Losing Battle to Keep His Baby Alive (VIDEO)

By: Jim Hᴏft — May 4th 2024 at 18:00
Tommy Kearns shared a personal and devastating account of his daughter’s abortion (Credit: Students for Life/Youtube)

In a deeply moving moment during Kristan Hawkins’ “No Abortion, No Exceptions” Tour at Florida International University, Tommy Kearns, a grieving father, shared his heart-wrenching story over the loss of his unborn daughter, Clementine.

Kristan Hawkins, the CEO of the Pro-Life Generation, is advocating for the abolishment of abortion. Her tour is a direct challenge to the exploitation of tragic personal stories by “abortion-loving politicians” to push their “anti-woman, anti-baby, and anti-life agenda.”

Kearns, who drove three hours to speak, recounted the painful experience of his daughter Clementine’s abortion.

Kearns recounted his desperate pleas to the mother of his child not to proceed with the abortion. Despite their five-month debate and his unconditional love for both his child and her mother, his pleas were in vain.

“Before I get into my question, I just wanted to say my daughter’s name is Clementine,” Kearns began. “She was five months along when she was aborted. My daughter was healthy. I begged her mother not to go through with the abortion. For five months, we went back and forth. I don’t hate her. I love her, and I’m working on forgiving her.”

“She was confused, she was uncertain, and she had doubts. Mike Tyson has doubts before he gets into a ring. This was an option, and she took that option, and she regrets it now. ”

“This is just a thought that just came into my head; why do you think that people dehumanize my Clementine? Why wasn’t she human enough for people to help me mourn? Why wasn’t she human enough for people to talk about?” Kearns asked, struggling to understand how society could disregard his grief and the humanity of his unborn daughter.

He drew a personal comparison, noting that his mother was born prematurely at the same stage of pregnancy at which Clementine was aborted, emphasizing the potential for life that was extinguished.

Kearns expressed his devastation over not having the chance to say goodbye to his daughter or mourn her as one would with a born child.

“My daughter was five months. I didn’t get to say goodbye to my daughter. I didn’t know about the abortion until after it happened… She was ripped apart. My daughter doesn’t get a funeral. My daughter doesn’t get respect… How much money did they make off of my daughter’s body?”

“My daughter was a person. My daughter is an angel, and I pray for her every single day. I talk to her. I still feel like she’s there. I feel like on July 20th, my daughter is going to be there.”

Clementine’s sonogram (Credit: Kristan Hawkins/X)

Kearn expressed his deep connection to Clementine, emphasizing that she was more than just a biological term; she was a growing life that held significant emotional value to him.

“I have her sonogram picture the first time I heard her heartbeat, and I bring this up to people, and I say, ‘Well, she had a heartbeat. Wasn’t she a person?’… For five months, I’m told by my friends, I’m crying over somebody I never met before,” he said, confronting the dismissive attitudes towards his mourning. He reveals the isolation he feels, surrounded by people who diminish his daughter’s existence to merely being “a fetus” and not a “person.”

“My daughter not only matters, but I do not want my daughter to be forgotten. I want my daughter’s story to be talked about. I want her to be remembered. She wasn’t just a fetus.”

The agony is palpable as Kearns recounts the haunting images and nightmares that linger after researching the medical procedures associated with abortion.

His speech also touched on the wider political and societal implications of abortion laws, calling them “evil laws” that need to be challenged and changed.

“My question is really for society. Why doesn’t my daughter matter? Why wasn’t she enough? Why didn’t she get a chance to live? And ultimately, no, I’m not blaming my ex. She had doubts, and she regrets it. Ultimately, this is our government’s fault. We’ve stopped evil laws in the past, in America and in Germany… We came together and we stopped evil laws. This is an evil law that killed my daughter,” Kearn said.

The speech ended with a plea for remembrance and a call to action, urging society to think of Clementine and to keep her memory alive.

Here’s a heart-wrenching video of Kearns talking about his daughter Clementine:

Russian Interior Ministry Opens a Criminal Investigation on Ukrainian President Zelensky and Puts Him on a Wanted List

By: Paul Serran — May 4th 2024 at 17:40

As of now, the old and tired saying that the war in Ukraine was in a perpetual stalemate has been long forgotten and discarded.

Russian Federation forces have ‘liberated’ more than 547 square kilometers (or 211 square miles) of territory just in 2024, Reuters reported, citing Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu.

It’s well over a dozen cities and villages, and the expectation is that after the expected upcoming fall of Chasov Yar, the defensive lines will crumble even worse than they are now – because Ukrainian corrupt officials did not build the defensive lines of fortifications, but preferred to embezzle the money.

In this context of a rapidly weakening Kiev regime, it arises that President Volodymyr Zelensky has been put on a Russian ‘wanted list’, and a criminal case was opened against him.

Reuters reported:

“Russia has opened a criminal case against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and put him on a wanted list, the state news agency TASS reported on Saturday, an announcement Ukraine dismissed as evidence of Moscow’s ‘desperation’.

TASS reported that the Russian Interior Ministry database showed Zelensky was on a wanted list but gave no further details.”

Ukrainians – as one would expect – called the news worthless Russian announcements’ and stated that the International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant for the arrest of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on suspicion of war crimes ‘is quite real’.

Reuters further reported that “Russia has issued arrest warrants for a number of Ukrainian and other European politicians since the start of the conflict with Ukraine in February 2022.”

Russian police have also indicted many foreign politicians, and issued an arrest warrant for the International Criminal Court prosecutor who prepared Putin’s war crimes warrant.

Associated Press reported:

“As of Saturday afternoon, both Zelensky and his predecessor, Petro Poroshenko, featured on the ministry’s list of people wanted on unspecified criminal charges. The commander of Ukraine’s ground forces, Gen. Oleksandr Pavlyuk, was also on the list.

Russian officials did not immediately clarify the allegations against any of the men. Mediazona, an independent Russian news outlet, claimed Saturday that both Zelensky and Poroshenko had been listed since at least late February.

[…] Russia’s wanted list also includes scores of officials and lawmakers from Ukraine and NATO countries. Among them is Kaja Kallas, the prime minister of NATO and EU member Estonia, who has fiercely advocated for increased military aid to Kyiv and stronger sanctions against Moscow.

Russian officials in February said that Kallas is wanted because of Tallinn’s efforts to remove Soviet-era monuments to Red Army soldiers in the Baltic nation, in a belated purge of what many consider symbols of past oppression.”

AP tries to deny the obvious Nazi aspects of the Ukrainian society.

Some of the prosecutions of Foreign Leaders are tied to legislation against the resurgence of Nazism. In their insistence to cover up for Ukraine until the bitter end, AP wrote the following ridiculous paragraph:

“The Kremlin has repeatedly sought to link Ukraine’s leaders to Nazism, even though the country has a democratically elected Jewish president who lost relatives in the Holocaust, and despite the aim of many Ukrainians to strengthen the country’s democracy, reduce corruption and move closer to the West.

Who ‘repeatedly sought to link Ukraine’s leaders to Nazism’ but themselves, who venerate as National Hero Stephan Bandera, Nazi collaborator who massacred Jews and Polish citizens!

AP says that ‘the country has a democratically elected Jewish president’. OK, to begin with, Zelensky cancelled Presidential elections that should have happened in March. By May 22nd, his mandate will be over and he will be totally autocratic.

As for him being Jewish and endorsing the Nazis from ‘Azov battalions’ and ‘Right Sector’, that is yet another failing by the former leader that General Zaluzhny called ‘Frodo’.

You may ask, what about ‘the aim of many Ukrainians to strengthen the country’s democracy, reduce corruption and move closer to the West’, so let me leave you with a nice collection of Ukrainian sporting Nazi paraphernalia:

Virginia State Police in Full Riot Gear Pepper Spray and Tackle Pro-Hamas Agitators at Tantrum Encampment (VIDEO)

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 17:20
Image: Video screenshot

Pro-Hamas agitators at UVA were petulant when police arrived to remove their tantrum encampment.

As police entered the area, the protestors taunted police as they hysterically shrieked, “UPD, KKK, IDF, you’re all the same,” likening the police to the Ku Klux Klan and Israel Defense Forces.

Virginia State Police were dispatched to campus to remove the Hamas cheerleaders from their encampment, which, according to University officials, violates school policy.

When the agitators refused to dismantle tents and leave, officers in full riot gear began spraying pepper spray.

Although reports at first suggested tear gas was used, Virginia State Police said, NO law enforcement in Virginia have or deploy tear gas, by its defined chemical composition.”

According to University officials, the encampment is in violation of a policy. While officials expressed support for peaceful protests on the UVA campus, they do not allow setting up tents and prohibit the use of electronically amplified sound, which includes electric megaphones.

The nasty chants can be clearly heard coming from a banned megaphone.

UVA officials said in a statement on Tuesday, “UVA has seen an increase in peaceful expressive activity on our Grounds this year in response to the ongoing Middle East conflict. As an institution committed to free expression and the open exchange of ideas, we strive to ensure these activities can take place safely, and in a manner that permits all parties to make their voices heard.”

“The University is prohibited by the Constitution and our own values from restricting speech based on its content, even in cases where the content is hurtful or offensive,” the school said. “We do, however, enforce reasonable restrictions on the time, place, and manner of expressive activities, so as to assure the safety of our community and to avoid disruption to University life or the rights of others. As we become aware of planned expressive activities, University officials engage with organizers to inform them of these policies.”

The policy regarding tents specifically states:

  • All tents and air supported structures erected on State Property or paid for by UVA funds are to be approved and inspected by UVA Fire Safety personnel prior to use. All tents and air supported structures require a permit. Permits may be obtained through the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
  • All stages erected on State Property are to be permitted through the office of the UVA Building Official and in accordance with the International Building Codes. Please submit permit request for stages to buildingpermitrequest@virginia.edu.
  • All tents and stages not erected on State Property but paid for with UVA Funds must be approved by EHS and the UVA Building Official in order for the funds to be allocated from UVA Procurement.
  • Firms and/or individual(s) erecting tents must have a bond or insurance that has been reviewed and approved by the University’s Office of Risk Management at 434-924-3055.
  • All tents must be at least 20 feet from buildings, other tents, or any other structure. Tents shall not be placed directly under any tree or overhead projection unless otherwise permitted.

Although students are whining and whinging about “a sudden change” in the policy, Daily Progress reporter Jason Armesto reports that the ban on tents has been communicated to students dozens of times over the past few days and “Chief Longo and student affairs have both communicated it to protestors, ‘In any interaction with folks down there this has come up.'”

UVA says there has been no ambiguity about the policy.
“This has ben communicated to them dozens of times over past few days.”

Say Chief Longo and student affairs have both communicated it to protestors. “In any interaction with folks down there this has come up.”

Growing Trend of U.S. Politicians Co-opted by Foreign Governments

By: Antonio Graceffo — May 4th 2024 at 17:00
Photo credit: Governor Gavin Newsom’s Official Website, Published: Oct 30, 2023

Representative Henry Cuellar, a Texas Democrat, was recently implicated for accepting a $600,000 bribe from an oil company in Azerbaijan. He is being charged with working as an agent for a foreign entity while a U.S. government official because he lobbied Congress on the company’s behalf. The bribe was tied to a money laundering scheme that cycled through a bank in Mexico. Cuellar is also being accused of attempting to weaken US money laundering rules, particularly those that would hurt Mexican banks. Frighteningly, Cuellar is the leading Democrat on the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.

Cuellar being coopted by foreign forces is a serious national security concern. Sadly, this is just the most recent case of a foreign entity or foreign government buying influence with elected officials in the US.

Last year, Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey, along with his wife, was charged with accepting bribes from corporations in Egypt.

In 2013, the government-owned State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) provided $750,000 for 10 members of Congress and 32 staffers to go on a junket to Baku, the country’s capital. In addition to the all-expense-paid luxury trip, the invitees also received thousands of dollars in gifts. Among the beneficiaries of Baku’s largesse were three former top aides to President Obama.

Apart from the obvious violation of ethics and the public trust, there was a national security angle to this trip as well. At that time, SOCAR was partnered with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), and they needed the US to provide exemptions from US sanctions against Iran.

In 2020-2023, Utah lawmakers became the targets of investigation when it was found that they had accepted paid trips to China and later pushed legislation that would benefit the PRC. Similar allegations were made against two Utah lawmakers who accepted trips to Qatar.

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) poses the greatest and most persistent threat to US national security. Additionally, China has deep pockets, and the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is actively engaged in co-opting American officials. As far back as 1997, the FBI warned Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif) and five other members of Congress, that the PRC was targeting them for illegal campaign contributions funneled through foreign corporations.

The granddaddy of all foreign influence scandals involves the Biden family. In 2013, Hunter Biden traveled to China with his father, who was then vice president. On that trip, Hunter and a Chinese banker, Jonathan Li, formed a state-backed private equity fund, Bohai Harvest RST (BHR Partners). Chinese government shareholders controlled 80% of the company.

In the spring of 2014, Hunter Biden was appointed to the board of directors of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma. At that time, his father was leading US policy efforts toward Ukraine. Hunter Biden was paid $1 million per year, and there are allegations that his father received some of the money.

In 2015, BHR partnered with the Chinese state-owned military aviation contractor Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to purchase an American technology company, Henniges, which manufactured dual-use components with military and civilian applications. Perhaps BHR’s most concerning investment was in China General Nuclear Power Company (CGN), a state-backed nuclear firm.

Companies controlled by Hunter Biden entered into several deals with Chinese entities, including China’s state-owned banks and other companies that had ties to the CCP. He was paid at least $4.8 million, and once again there were allegations that Joe Biden benefited from these transactions. While proving definitively that money flowed to the president may prove difficult, Hunter’s activity — funding dual-use technology, aviation, and nuclear projects in cooperation with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) — raises significant national security concerns.

Some US officials make trips to foreign countries that appear unnecessary, lacking clear justification or mandate from their roles. While not directly accused of corruption, these trips seem to stretch beyond their duties and may run counter to US foreign policy objectives. Additionally, these travels, funded by US taxpayers, raise concerns about potential corruption or undisclosed agreements. This was the case with California Governor Newsom, who recently visited China; New York Mayor Eric Adams, who went to Mexico, as well as Greece and Qatar; and New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, who had trips scheduled for Dubai and Kenya. San Francisco Mayor London N. Breed also visited China, as did Menlo Park City Councilwoman Kirsten Keith.

Bill Maher Explodes Over Joe Biden’s Student Loan Handout-“My Tax Dollars Are Supporting This Jew Hating? I Don’t Think So!”

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 16:40
Bill Maher said he’s “incensed” that antisemitic students on college campuses could benefit from Biden’s loan handout. Image: Video screenshot/HBO

In April, Joe Biden unilaterally canceled another $7.4 billion in student loan debt in his latest vote-buying gimmick ahead of the 2024 election.

“Today, President Biden announced that 277,000 more Americans will get their student debt canceled, bringing the total debt relief approved by the Biden-Harris Administration to $153 billion for 4.3 million Americans through various actions,” the White House announced at the time.

Biden has used a series of workarounds to circumvent the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down his student loan bailout program.

On Friday night’s panel discussion on “Real Time,” host Bill Maher was joined by Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway and Bloomberg Businessweek correspondent Joshua Green.

During a discussion of the anti-Israel protests raging on college campuses across the country, Maher said he gets “so incensed” at how many of the students participating receive federal aid.

“I’m so incensed about some of this stuff because when I read about the college loans… Biden administration’s student debt cancellation will cost a combined 870 billion to 1.4 trillion.”

“So colleges constantly raise tuition, then the kids take out more loans, then the government comes by and pays those loans. Okay, so my tax dollars are supporting this Jew-hating? I don’t think so.”

Conway said the student loan handout was unfair, telling Maher, “You can’t have plumbers and pipefitters playing for the student loans of doctors and lawyers.”

She continued, “I’m all for the government trying to help people who need it, but he did that as a political play and everybody knows it. He’s bleeding young people support.”

“And it hasn’t worked,” Green added.  “If you look at issues that young people care about, Gaza is like 15th out of 16th. And the only thing that comes in lower than Gaza is student loan forgiveness. So it hasn’t worked as a motivator for the youth vote, you know, half of which are out there chanting ‘Genocide Joe.’ So it’s backfired not just in terms of public policy, but in terms of the politics, too.”

“Yeah, I mean, Trump is winning the youth vote by I think 11 points, that’s pretty astounding to me,” Maher said, referring to a recent CNN poll.

Watch:

NEW: Bill Maher says he is “incensed” that his tax dollars are going towards paying off the student loans of “Jew hating” students.

EVIDENCE TAMPERING? Jack Smith Admits FBI Messed with Boxes Containing “Classified” Documents They Seized from Trump

By: Cristina Laila — May 4th 2024 at 16:20

Special Counsel Jack Smith on Friday evening responded to Trump’s co-defendant Walt Nauta’s motion to extend a deadline for disclosures in the classified documents case.

Recall that Walt Nauta, a former White House employee and Navy veteran who worked valet for Trump and served as a personal staffer at Mar-a-Lago was indicted along with Trump last year.

In a motion filed late Friday, Jack Smith admitted the FBI messed with the boxes containing “classified” documents they seized from Trump and can’t be sure the order or the placement of the documents.

In a May 1 filing, Walt Nauta’s attorney claimed he had difficulty in cross-referencing materials in classified and unclassified discovery because “certain items in the seized boxes he reviewed were in a different order from where they appear in the scans of the boxes’ contents produced in discovery.”

Jack Smith in his Friday night response admitted the FBI moved the classified documents around.

According to a footnote in the motion reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, the FBI messed with the boxes containing the ‘classified’ documents they seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

The DOJ previously assured the Court that the placement of classified documents as originally found had been maintained – THEY LIED!

Footnote 3: The Government acknowledges that this is inconsistent with what Government counsel previously understood and represented to the Court. See, e.g., 4/12/24 Hearing Tr. at 65 (Government responding to the Court’s question of whether the boxes were “in their original, intact form as seized” by stating “[t]hey are, with one exception; and that is that the classified documents have been removed and placeholders have been put in the documents”

The DOJ in August 2022 lied to the Court when they claimed the red, blue and yellow sheets shown in the viral photo of the classified documents indicated their classification status.

It turns out they were “slip sheets” the FBI used to replace the so-called classified documents.

The FBI admitted they messed with Trump’s documents! The FBI used cover sheets as placeholders for the classified documents.

“After the boxes were brought to WFO, the FBI created an index to correlate the documents with classification markings to codes (e.g., document “bb”) and labeled the classified cover sheets in the boxes with the codes for the seized documents. The FBI also generally replaced the handwritten sheets with classified cover sheets annotated with the index code, but regardless, any handwritten sheets that currently remain in the boxes do not represent additional classified documents—they were just not removed when the classified cover sheets with the index code were added. In many but not all instances, the FBI was able to determine which document with classification markings corresponded to a particular placeholder sheet.”

Jack Smith also claimed the FBI found so many classified documents that they ran out of ‘slip sheets.’

“The investigative team used classified cover sheets for that purpose, until the FBI ran out because there were so many classified documents, at which point the team began using blank sheets with handwritten notes indicating the classification level of the document(s) seized,” Jack Smith laughably claimed.

“Yet more reason to throw out this sham prosecution,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in response to Jack Smith’s filing.

Constitutional Lawyer and Professor Emeritus, Harvard Law School, Alan Dershowitz, Threatens “Anti-Semites” on College Campuses With Lawfare—Says It’s Necessary to Deter Genocide of Jews

By: Patty McMurray — May 4th 2024 at 16:00

Violent anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, and anti-American protests are taking place on campuses across America. Many of the individuals who’ve been arrested are not students but instead paid protesters by outside groups who are essentially agitators for hire. Jewish students and even faculty have expressed concerns or outright fear over their safety when walking through these campuses where large mobs of hate-filled individuals, many of whom are wearing face-coverings, shout at them or block them from walking through areas where they’re protesting.

Only last week, a female Jewish student was taken to the hospital after she was violently beaten on the UCLA college campus by a mob of pro-Palestine supporters.

Conservative Collin Rugg shared the horrific video.

“In massive defensive and offensive warfare against the anti-and potential violent terrorist act, we are going to be engaging in massive offensive and defensive lawfare against bigots, anti-Semites, and potential violent terrorists.

We’re going to take many, many kinds of legal actions.

We’re starting a group called “Hurt a Jew, we sue you!” in which, if you send us the name of the Jewish kid it could be a Christian Zionist too that was hurt by one of these bigots, we will sue them. And we will get their dorm rooms taken away, and we will take their cars and their boomboxes, and we will bankrupt them. We will do whatever is necessary under the law. And we will bring these lawsuits, bring them successfully deter Oct 7th.

Remember, there are people out there who have promised they will bring 10,000 October 7ths. That’s genocide!

Ten thousand thousand October 7ths is genocide!

It’s the end of the Jewish people!” Dershowitz warned.

UAE’s Energy Minister Joins JPMorgan’s Calls for a ‘Reality Check’ on Climate Alarmist ‘Energy Transition’ Goals

By: Paul Serran — May 4th 2024 at 15:40

Slowly but surely, voices in favor of common sense energy policies are starting to emerge. It is true that, at this juncture, these voices do not yet confront the ‘Church of Global Warming’, and their criticism is still confined to matters of the feasibility of the ‘Net Zero’ failed, crippling policies and regulations – but that’s a start, anyway.

UAE’s energy minister Suhail Al Mazrouei is the latest in this trend, stating that long-term predictions need to have a reality check’.

Al Mazrouei lent his approval to a recent article by JPMorgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon. He wrote that US delays of liquefied natural gas projects were done ‘for political reasons.’ According to him, Biden means to cater to those who believe oil and gas projects should be stopped altogether — a position that he calls ‘wrong’ and ‘enormously naïve.’

Bloomberg reported:

“The head of JPMorgan Chase & Co. made the comments […] in his annual shareholder letter, in which he touted replacing coal with natural gas as one of the best ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions for the next few decades. Dimon also called LNG exports a ‘great economic boon’ for the US as well as a ‘realpolitik goal’.

‘Our allied nations that need secure and affordable energy resources, including critical nations like Japan, Korea and most of our European allies, would like to be able to depend on the United States for energy’, the chairman and chief executive officer said in his letter.”

Now, the UAE Minister has come out in agreement with Dimon.

CNBC reported:

“JPMorgan’s calls for a “reality check” on the world’s energy transition goals and pathway is ‘sensible’, the UAE’s energy minister told CNBC.

‘We need always, whenever we put up predictions, especially long term ones, to have a reality check’, Suhail Al Mazrouei told CNBC’s Dan Murphy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.”

JPMorgan warned that a move from fossil fuels to renewables could take “generations” to reach present net-zero targets.

High interest rates, inflation and wars are setting back efforts to reduce the use of fossil fuels like oil, coal and gas.

“’I think it’s a very sensible article’, said Al Mazrouei. The minister, however, highlighted that the circumstances and financial capabilities of each country on undertaking the energy transition goals will vary.

‘The world is not the same … Some can afford it. They worked on fiscal changes, they adjusted their energy costs. Others have not, [they] cannot afford to do it’, he added.”

We are still far away from the point where authoritative voices will state unambiguously that the 2015 Paris Climate Goals were prompted by bogus science alarmism.

For now, they blame a ‘higher interest rate environment’ for making it costlier for the world to transition.

“’The higher cost of borrowing negatively affects renewables and nascent technologies, compared to more established oil and gas, and metals and mining sectors, which remain somewhat insulated’, [Al Mazrouei] said.”

We have seen Scotland’s government scrap its 2030 climate target, and major oil companies such as BP and Shell trim back on climate targets.

‘Somebody Is Radicalizing Our Students’: Weapons and Terrorism Book Discovered at Pro-Hamas Encampment by NYPD (VIDEO)

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has uncovered alarming discoveries within a pro-Palestinian encampment on a college campus. According to reports, the police found weapons and a book on terrorism while clearing the encampment.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry shared a concerning update from Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall on X.

“Pencils, books, laptops, those are the tools of students and what you expect to find on a college campus. But here’s what the NYPD found in Hamilton Hall at Columbia University after we were able to arrest the protestors and agitators for commandeering and barricading themselves inside the building. Gas masks, ear plugs, helmets, goggles, tape, hammers, knives, ropes, and a book on TERRORISM,” he wrote.

“These are not the tools of students protesting, these are the tools of agitators, of people who were working on something nefarious. Thankfully, your NYPD was able to prevent whatever they were planning and stop them before they could do it. Continue to peacefully and lawfully protest; but know that if you engage in illegal conduct, the NYPD will hold you responsible and hold you accountable—someone has to,” he added.

Speaking to reporters, NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry expressed concerns about the sophisticated organization behind these protests.

“I just want to say—and I’ve said it before—there is somebody behind this movement. There is some organization behind this movement,” said Daughtry.

“The level of organization that we’re seeing in both of these camps, here and at Columbia, is evident from the leaflets on how to protest, how to commit civil disobedience, what to do when you get arrested, and what to say to the police when they question you,” he added.

The NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Counterterrorism and Intelligence is reportedly taking a proactive role in investigating these concerns.

“There is somebody funding this; there is somebody radicalizing our students. Our Deputy Commissioner of Counterterrorism and Intelligence will find out who it is,” Daughtry said.

According to Fox News, some of the groups involved in the protests are associated with far-left organizations backed by George Soros. These groups, including National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), have been accused of using anti-Israel rhetoric and promoting radical views.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that New York City Mayor Eric Adams has alleged that protests at Columbia University and City College of New York (CCNY) were infiltrated by “outside agitators” affiliated with “terrorist groups.”

Adams asserted that the protests were “hijacked” by “outside agitators” with ties to “terrorist groups.” He cited intelligence reports identifying individuals with professional backgrounds and connections to terrorism among those arrested.

Bill Melugin-Per CBP, San Diego Sector of Border Apprehended Over 200 Chinese Illegals Two Days in a Row

By: David Greyson — May 4th 2024 at 15:00
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons

This is Joe Biden’s America—a daily invasion of the border with no end in sight.

Per CBP, over 200 Chinese illegal aliens were apprehended at the San Diego sector of the southern border for two days in a row.

According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, May 2nd reported 223 Chinese illegals, and May 1st reported 262.

To give perspective to these numbers, in those two days alone, the combined amount is more than all Chinese illegals that came into the US for fiscal year 2021. The Chinese government has been less than cooperative in receiving their citizens back upon deportation attempts.

NEW: Per CBP source, for the last two days in a row, Border Patrol’s San Diego sector apprehended 200+ Chinese nationals.

May 2nd – 223 Chinese
May 1st – 262 Chinese

That means more Chinese were caught crossing illegally in the last 2 days than in all of FY’21 (342).…

— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) May 3, 2024

Illegals coming in from China have been a problem for quite some time. In February, a Chinese illegal alien admitted, on camera, that he was here to “take the money.”

Watch:

— Griff Jenkins (@GriffJenkins) February 17, 2024

The border has remained intentionally open by the Biden regime. DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has forsaken his responsibility under the US Constitution to protect the US from invasion.

“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” Article IV Section 4 of the United States Constitution.

In February, on “Meet the Press,” Secretary Mayorkas plainly stated that the Biden regime was not responsible for the border crisis.

“Do you bear responsibility for what is happening at the border?” Kristin Welker asked.

“We don’t bear responsibility for a broken system,” Mayorkas continued.

— Meet the Press (@MeetThePress) February 11, 2024

The border policy has remained the same. As a result, an estimated 10 to 12 million illegal aliens have invaded the US under Biden’s open border.

That number is approximately equal to the population of 41 individual states.

Jeffrey Epstein’s “Black Book” Is Up For Auction, Bidders’ Identities Will Be Held Secret

By: Anthony Scott — May 4th 2024 at 14:40

Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous black book, which has hundreds of associate contact information, is going up for auction.

The New York Post has reported that convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s black book is going up for auction, and bidders who participate in the auction are being promised their identities will be held secret.

The book was discovered in the 1990s by a female musician in New York’s East Village, but how it got there remains a mystery.

It’s estimated the black book will rake in over $200,000.

The book contains 349 names in total, 221 of which were never listed in Epstein’s more famous and widely reported “little black book.”

— New York Post (@nypost) May 4, 2024

Per The New York Post:

A mysterious “black book” believed to belong to the late pedophile financier, which revealed the names and addresses of 221 previously undisclosed people, is going up for auction — and bidders are being assured that their identities will be kept secret.

It could fetch up to $200,000 — or more, the auction house owner told the Daily Beast, which first reported the story.

The book was reportedly found on Fifth Avenue in the East Village by a female musician in the 1990s, but how it came to be there remains unclear to this day.

What is clear is that the book names 349 people — 221 of whom were not named in a later, more famous “black book” that Epstein kept.

The book was the subject of an in-depth investigation by Business Insider in 2021.

With gold prices recently hitting record highs, more people are looking at investing in gold.

When you first start learning about gold as an investment, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

Should you choose Gold ETFs, pooled accounts, individual accounts…

Or, maybe you should just buy gold outright. There are websites that’ll sell gold with a huge markup, and even pawn shops that sell gold around the corner from your favorite taco stand.

If you’re new to buying gold, you first need a trusted resource to lay out the plain facts. You need to know a brief history, why gold works, and the options available to you.

Thankfully, there’s a new, easy-to-read guidebook that’s opening minds and growing investment accounts.

Genesis Gold is offering a free guide that has everything you need to learn about investing in gold and other precious metals.

In just a short, 12-page read, you’ll learn what clues the Bible gives about man-made money (paper currency). You’ll even learn the three simple steps to investing in metals like gold.

And, you’ll also get a quick tutorial on:

  • Which precious metals are approved by the IRS

  • The different forms of gold, silver and other precious metals – coins, ingots, bars

  • Why the symbology (i.e. olive branches) matters on gold coins

  • Why there are different sized measurements of gold coins and bars

  • And a stunning innovation made by the Swiss

Genesis Gold is giving you the tools to make your own decisions. Instead of trusting in fly-by-night investment opportunities, or Wall Street lies, you can learn the long-term strategy that has worked since Moses.

As it says in Ezekiel 28:4 – By your wisdom and understanding you have gained wealth for yourself and amassed gold and silver in your treasuries.

Bloomberg Columnist Claims Trump Trial Doesn't 'Get Much Attention' From Media

By: Alex Christy — May 4th 2024 at 14:00
Bloomberg Businessweek columnist Joshua Green mourned on Friday’s Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO that the media has been covering the demonstrations on college campuses across the country and not Donald Trump’s hush money trial. Not only is surging anti-Semitism among college students a newsworthy topic, but it is simply not true that Trump’s trial has been removed from newscasts. Green’s fellow panelist was former Trump strategist Kellyanne Conway and the trio were discussing what voters care about when Maher quipped, “People do care about democracy also, they do, maybe not the circles you run in.”     Conway pushed back, “I came on your show five days after that, we know what—nine days after that, you know what I think of January 6, that will never change. But if we are looking backward, elections are always about the future, not the past. That's the way America needs to look at them and right now they feel cost of living in everyday quality of life is diminishing.” That led Green, who is the author of The Rebels: Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and the Struggle for a New American Politics and Devil's Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency, to chime in, “But as a pollster you've got to worry, I mean, you've seen polls that say if Donald Trump is convicted of a crime, he's currently on trial, though, it doesn't get much attention in the news that support for Trump will ebb.” A stunned Conway replied, “Trump doesn't get attention in the news? It’s all they talk about.” Green clung to his claim, “No, the criminal trial, no, it’s nothing but protests. It’s like the D block.” At the same time, Maher tried to offer an explanation, “Well, that criminal really—we’re treating it like it's like the Gwyneth Paltrow skiing trial. People just don’t care.” Back in the real world, the media, and especially cable, has obsessed over the trial. They cover it pretty much all day, relay what is going on inside the courtroom, and then have their legal analysts discuss. CNN has tried to analyze the profound meanings of photographs and court sketches of Trump to such a comical degree, even Jon Stewart couldn’t pass on the opportunity to mock them for it. Here is a transcript for the May 3 show: HBO Real Time with Bill Maher 5/3/2024 10:27 PM ET BILL MAHER: People do care about democracy also, they do, maybe not the circles you run in. KELLYANNE CONWAY: Of course, we all do. No, no, we all do. You know what I think of January 6. JOSHUA GREEN: But as a pollster. CONWAY: I came on your show five days after that, we know what—nine days after that, you know what I think of January 6, that will never change. But if we are looking backward, elections are always about the future, not the past. That's the way America needs to look at them and right now they feel cost of living in everyday quality of life is diminishing. Disgraced Former CNN Anchor Chris Cuomo, Who Advocated for the COVID Vaccine, Publicly Admits for the First Time to Suffering from a COVID Vaccine Injury (VIDEO)

By: Jim Hᴏft — May 4th 2024 at 13:40
Credit: News Nation/Youtube

Disgraced former CNN anchor and vaccine pusher Chris Cuomo disclosed for the first time that he has been suffering from side effects he attributes to the COVID-19 vaccine.

This admission came during an in-depth interview with nurse practitioner Sean Barcavage, who was also featured in a New York Times article discussing similar vaccine-related injuries.

Barcavage shared his alarming experience with vaccine side effects that began just minutes after receiving his first dose in 2020. Symptoms included heart palpitations upon standing, numbness, and persistent tingling that quickly spread from his arm to his face and eyes, which got worse after his second dose.

“We know that vaccines can have unintended consequences, a.k.a. side effects… But nobody’s really talking about it because they’re too afraid of blame, and they just want it to go away,” Cuomo said.

“But the problem is people like Sean and me and millions of others who still have weird stuff with their bloodwork and their lives and their feelings physically are not going away,” Cuomo added.

“As soon as I was injured—15, 20 minutes into my first dose—I experienced numbness and tingling up and down my injected arm, which spread over the day to my face and my eyes. I consulted a neurologist who ran some tests and remarked, ‘Well, this is all new. We don’t know much about it, but the hospital is going to mandate it. You should get a second dose.’ Everything in my medical mind and in my bones was telling me, ‘No, if you have a reaction to something, don’t do it again,'” Barcavage said.

“However, the pressure was immense. Then, three weeks later, I received a second dose, and after that, everything blew up. I went from being a healthy, 100% healthy, fully functioning nurse to a complete downward spiral of health. I developed a myriad of symptoms,” he added.

Barcavage expressed his disappointment with the lack of support from various health agencies and from vaccine manufacturers.

“I thought there would be people ready to help me after my injury,” he explained. “I reached out to political representatives, the NIH, the CDC, the FDA, but I received no answers. No one wanted to touch it.”

With medical professionals in the U.S. offering no assistance, Barcavage took his quest international, sending blood samples to Germany, where he found scientists willing to aid his investigation.

“I sent blood samples to Germany and connected with German scientists who were more willing to help than those in my own country. The tests showed I had developed several autoantibodies, some of which scientists believe are related to this positional tachycardia you mentioned, where my heart rate spikes every time I stand up.”

“My autoantibodies resemble those seen in people with long COVID, although I never contracted the virus. This was confirmed through immunological studies of my blood. They found no viral antibodies,” Barcavage said.

Barcavage expressed his expectation of support from his pro-vaccine colleagues, who he believed would assist him in his time of need. Instead, he encountered a starkly different reality.

“I thought my pro-vaccine colleagues who championed me would lift me up and help me. Instead, they turned around, dismissed, denied, and tried to censor and bury me,” Barcavage said.

His situation, he argues, is exacerbated by the political implications of vaccine side effects. “They’re afraid that by showing my face, I’ll drive vaccine hesitancy. But what they don’t realize, and what I have come to realize, is that the censorship and concealment are actually fueling vaccine hesitancy,” he added.

Barcavage critiqued the Biden regime’s handling of vaccine reactions, suggesting that a more transparent approach acknowledging the novel nature of vaccines and setting up dedicated support programs could have fostered public trust.

“If the government had just said, ‘Hey, these are novel vaccines. There will be reactions. Let’s set up a program to handle them, establish a fund, and oblige the manufacturers to provide help or research,’ I think the citizens would have appreciated that.”

Barcavage, along with many Americans, experienced censorship on major social platforms, where his posts were often tagged as misinformation. “When I tried to reach out online, platforms like Facebook and Instagram would tag my messages as misinformation. Yes, that’s right. I’m just a desperate person to whom something bad happened, and I’m reaching out and pleading for help,” he said.

Cuomo, who was part of the censorship regime, admitted to Barcavage that he also suffering from side effects he attributes to the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Sean, I can’t help you because I’m no clinician. I’m sick myself. But I’m working with people who are working on this, so I’ll make sure that we’re in touch right after the show, and I’ll help any way I can. You may be ahead of me. I’ll connect you with my clinicians, and maybe you can share different protocols and things that may help. But I will never stop reporting on this. All I’m doing is just beating the drum for a 9/11-style commission to figure out what worked and what didn’t and what questions need to be answered because it’s not over,” Cuomo said.

The irony and karma here are incredible. The New York Times and Chris Cuomo, who finds himself among those affected, are now acknowledging and reporting issues many have voiced concerns about for the past three years.

It can be recalled Chris Cuomo mocked and insulted anyone who refused to take the experimental vaccine.

In 2021, Chris Cuomo and Republican Texas state Rep. Michael Burgess engaged in a heated debate over the COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy that is prevalent among some members of the GOP and conservative media.

“You’re OK with this kind of jackassery that has absolutely led to a deficiency among Republican people in this country taking the vaccine, and now they’re getting sick? And now we’re seeing what we see at the hospitals. And now the age is reducing and the variant is spreading. You’re OK with this?” Cuomo asked.

“The people showing up at the hospital who are very sick are, almost without exception, unvaccinated. The people who are dying, 99 percent, are unvaccinated. You have people who are connected to your political party that you are not speaking out against who are telling people not to take it. You’re OK with that?” he added.

Burgess responded, “Don’t listen to people on political talking shows. That’s not where you should get your medical information.” When Cuomo queried about the stance of GOP members of Congress who discourage vaccination, Burgess firmly stated, “I’m telling you to take it, so buy that. What about people who say otherwise? Well, they’re wrong. Take the vaccine if you’re in the age group where you could be devastated by the illness.”

Biden Losing Radical Campus Protestors “What Has Become Abundantly Clear is That He Does Not Actually Care About His Base”

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 13:20

Violent clashes took place Tuesday night at the UCLA campus where Pro-Palestinian protesters set up camp.

The radical anti-Israel protests happening on college campuses across the country have been brutal for the Biden Regime.

Joe Scarborough recently shared his fear that these displays are going to help elect President Trump. He even called the progressives in his audience who don’t see the impact this is having on the electorate ‘stupid.’

James Carville cursed at young voters, saying, “If they get ahold, there will be no government left, no rights left, you will live under a theocracy, you’ll end up with Christian Nationalism. But that’s all right you little f’ing  26-year-old, you don’t feel like the election is important.”

Leftists have a reason to be concerned.

In an interview with Sky News, a student at UCLA, shared that while he had been intending to vote for Joe Biden only a few weeks ago, he now said he is “certainly not’ voting for him now.

He added that he believes very few people in the encampment are going to vote for Joe Biden in November.

UCLA was the scene of violent clashes on campus on Tuesday night between protesters.

Interviewer: If I was to ask you two weeks ago before this encampment was formed, before you were part of this, if I was to ask you two weeks ago, who would you vote for in November, what would you have told me?

Student: Joe Biden.

Interviewer: And what do you say now?

Student:  Now, I’m certainly not voting for Joe Biden.

I’ll probably vote for either Jill Stein or Cornel West. He was part of the People’s Party, and then he left the People’s Party. Jill Stein is part of the Green Party.

I think very few people in the encampment are going to vote for Joe Biden in November. I think beforehand, and maybe before October seventh, this consensus among the progressive left was generally, Joe Biden is the lesser of two evils. He is a, he’s neoliberal. He’s not very progressive, but he’s the best that we can get.

Since October 7, and especially since over the past couple of days, what has become abundantly clear is that he does not actually care about his base.

He does not actually care about the people of Gaza or the people of the West Bank. And so even just checking that box next to Joe Biden’s name, it’s too much to ask of anybody, even if the alternative is worse. I think the best that we can hope for is that somebody who actually cares who cares about humanity, who actually cares about… Honestly, somebody who actually cares about the American people as well is actually elected to office.

The Onion and Ben Collins: A Perfect Fake News Marriage

By: Christian Toto — May 4th 2024 at 13:30
It’s hard to remember a time when The Onion was synonymous with “funny.” The humor site once had the field all to itself, creating Fake News stories that made us laugh and think. The Onion came out in printed form, and its attacks on the political class could be withering. That was then. Today’s online-only Onion is comedic in name only. The outlet’s hard-Left politics have all but stripped away its comic potential, from the woke handcuffs placed on liberal satire to how it protects Democrats… …much like today’s late-night TV landscape. So if you want to read something funny about President Joe Biden, for example, you’d never type “the onion” into a search engine. You go to The Babylon Bee.   To Save Time, The Babylon Bee Will Now Just Republish Everything Biden Says Verbatim https://t.co/KDHEZAjgU7 pic.twitter.com/O4ZfgGrc8P — The Babylon Bee (@TheBabylonBee) January 18, 2024   That site leans to the Right, but it’s unrelenting in its humor and ability to smite both sides. It’s everything The Onion isn’t – topical, fast, bold and hilarious. And, sadly, The Onion might soon be even worse. The site just got picked up by new owners, and former NBC journalist Ben Collins is the platform’s CEO moving forward. Ostensibly charged by the Peacock network with overseeing so-called “disinformation,” Collins proved inept at the gig. We’re still waiting for him to weigh in on the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, the “Very Fine People” hoax and more. Here’s how Collins described Libs of TikTok, the social media journalist who exposes the far-Left’s extremes. “Fox News’ favorite aggregator of LGBTQ teachers they don’t like the look of.” The latter part of the sentence feels slanderous, no? What’s his proof that Libs of TikTok is bigoted. Does he share any? Collins, formerly with the far-Left Daily Beast, also got exposed by The Federalist for carrying water for the hard-Left. Consider: NBC’s leftist reporter Ben Collins, meanwhile, arguably offered the most laughable response to Soros backing Bragg. Quoting a CNBC story, Collins says Soros can’t back Bragg because the two never met. Journalist Steve Krakauer slammed Collins for his social media-heavy methods that often occur without actual journalism. Collins seems to spend his days endlessly opining on social media about the state of journalism – like his frequent attacks on the New York Times. But one thing Collins does not appear to be doing very much anymore is journalism. Collins hasn’t written an article for NBC News in more than 100 days. His last one, published in early October, was on one of his favorite targets, X owner Elon Musk. Before that, you have to go back to May 22 to find his previous byline, a short piece about a “fake picture of an explosion” at the Pentagon that had gone semi-viral. He’s also wary of transparency. I asked Collins and NBC News if he was still a full-time employee of the media outlet, and neither responded to multiple requests for comment.  Does this sound like the person to shake The Onion from its hard-left shackles? It gets worse. Collins was one of many mainstream news reporters who got the infamous Gaza hospital story wrong. Collins is treated as an expert in the burgeoning field of countering the spread of misinformation. Yet his error rate is noteworthy…. Did Collins soberly wait for these facts to come in? Nope. The award-winning disinformation expert helped circulate the inaccurate claims of the Palestinian authorities. When other voices on social media recommended caution, Collins chimed in to assert that any delay in reporting the horrific casualty numbers represented a profound moral failing. It’s Disinformation 101, and he fell for it. That he recently won a Walter Cronkite Award for journalism speaks volumes about today’s Fourth Estate. Collins’ rage against free speech advocate Elon Musk found him making more mistakes, according to Reason. Collins’ reporting often contains basic errors that suggest he doesn’t particularly understand the right-wing forces he’s denouncing. His most recent article alleges that Musk’s plans for Twitter were shaped by a far-right former Trump administration staffer, even though it’s fairly clear the staffer wasn’t actually telling Musk what to do, but rather warning about what would happen to Musk if he offended “the regime.” Collins even raged against the release of The Twitter Files, which exposed the platform’s extensive censorship regime against right-leaning voices. He did so without calling out any errors in Matt Taibbi’s reportage. He just used ad hominem attacks on the left-leaning Taibbi. So The Onion’s return to its funny, bipartisan roots is even more unlikely today. Still, the two parties may be perfect for one another.

BREAKING: Sharpshooters Reportedly Stationed Inside U of M Graduation, As Police Remove Pro-Palestine/Hamas Protesters and Students Shout Them Down, “Shut the f**k up!—-Shut the f**k up!” [VIDEO]

By: Patty McMurray — May 4th 2024 at 13:00

Imagine how it must feel to be a young Jewish student who is forced to walk through these protesters, many of whom are fellow students they sit next to in class, as they spew hatred for Jews and call for the extermination of the Jewish state of Israel.

Over 15% of the undergrad population at the far-left University of Michigan is Jewish. The two largest donors to the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross and Ron Weiser are Jewish. So what did the University of Michigan do to protect their students, most of whom didn’t have a graduation ceremony because of ridiculous COVID lockdowns, and their families, many of whom traveled from other states, to ensure they all could enjoy a peaceful and celebratory atmosphere for their graduation ceremony today?

Unfortunately, not enough…

Last night, as they prepared to destroy the graduation experience for tens of thousands of students at the “Ivy of the Midwest,” pro-Palestine/Hamas protesters were seen hoisting a MI State Police bike into the air as they surrounded the police officers trying to keep the unruly mob under control. An Al Jazeera-affiliated Twitter account did what Palestinian/Hamas propagandists do best: they turned police trying to get the angry mob under control into a lie created to evoke emotions and gain sympathy for their “Hate America” and “Hate Jews” movement that’s sweeping across colleges and universities.

American police assaulted pro-Gaza demonstrators in front of the University of Michigan Art Museum, protesters were arrested outside the art museum on the campus of the University of Michigan.

As graduates of the University of Michigan and their families entered the stadium where their commencement ceremony would be held, a banner attached to a plane was flying overhead that read:

“We stand with Israel—Jewish Lives Matter.”

It didn’t take long for the selfish and disrespectful pro-Palestine/Hamas protesters, who’ve been making Jewish students afraid to walk through campus since the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7, to disrupt the ceremony for tens of thousands of students. The pro-Palestine/Hamas mob, many of whom wore masks over their faces, attempted, once again, to become the center of attention and ruin the day for so many young adults who have worked incredibly hard to get to this special day of recognition.

A guest inside the ceremony has reported that sharp-shooters could be seen posted at all four corners of the commencement ceremony. A top U of M official told the Gateway Pundit that plans for a large presence of law enforcement would be on hand, including those who would be obvious, like the MI State Police, and others who would be not-so-obvious.

The Gateway Pundit wrote an extensive piece on the unrest and hatred that is being fomented on college campuses across America by these leftist anti-Jew and anti-American protesters as students spend their final months, weeks, days, and even hours at a place they’ve called home for 4 or more years.

The University of Michigan heralded as the Ivy of the Midwest, is among the largest and most prestigious public universities to have effectively ceded control of its campus to an increasingly menacing mob.  Demonstrators there, as at Columbia, NYU and other colleges, have set up a tent encampment on the Diag, the central intersection of the Ann Arbor campus.

Only last month, following a blanket death threat to Israel-supporting students on campus and the defacement of the local Hillel chapter with swastikas, protestors disrupted and shut down the spring Honors convocation ceremony.  Now facing rising tensions on campus and trying to head off the cancellation of the May 4 commencement in its iconic Big House stadium, UM just released its commencement policy:

“The University of Michigan does not attempt to prevent peaceful protests or other speech protected under the First Amendment. Many ceremonies will have a designated area for protests outside the venue.
Our goal is to limit substantial disruption, ensure safety, and support a successful and celebratory event worthy of the achievements of our extraordinary graduates.”

After an initial wave of disruptive demonstrations and subsequent abrupt termination of the honors convocation, the UM administration disclosed that it was considering a “disruptive activity” policy that provided for the suspension and expulsion of students, which was found to violate the policy. UM’s leadership has yet to move forward with implementing any visible, substantive changes.

“We all must understand that, while protest is valued and protected, disruptions are not,” UM President Santo Ono wrote in a letter to the community following the shutdown of the honors convocation. “One group’s right to protest does not supersede the right of others to participate in a joyous event.”

“It was painful for everyone who had gathered, and especially so for members of our Jewish community,” Ono added.
There is no doubt a growing climate of fear for Jewish students on campus.  Many news accounts have detailed the intimidation, harassment, and violent rhetoric spiraling out of control at UM.  Just this year alone, two federal complaints have been filed against UM for violating the civil rights of Jewish students under Title VI protections. The Anti-Defamation League gave the university a failing grade for its unwillingness to enforce policy safeguarding the security and well-being of Jewish students on campus and in the classroom.

No Arrests For Hateful Hamamy…

Salma Hamamy, a senior and president of SAFE (Students Allied for Freedom & Equality, an offshoot of SJP – Students for Justice in Palestine) posted on her Instagram (which has since been deleted), “Until my last breath, I will utter death to every single individual who supports the Zionist State, Death and more. Death and worse.”

Hamamy appears to have deleted her post, but a post showing her leading students in a chant demanding the University of Michigan divest from Israel can be seen here, as the students shout at President Santa Ono:

Screenshot

According to a top official at U of M, Salma Hamamy has not been investigated for hate crimes by the FBI. The university has not revoked the radical student’s Martin Luther King award, and she is still enrolled as a student at U of M. To date, Ms. Hamamy has not been arrested for hate speech.

“Ono, Ono, you can’t hide! You are funding genocide!” the protesters chant as they fill the hallways of a University of Michigan building.

The University of Michigan website addressed the graduation ceremony, claiming it would respect the right of free speech for peaceful protesters.

Commencement ceremonies have been the site of free expression and peaceful protest for decades and will likely continue to be. The University of Michigan does not attempt to prevent peaceful protests or other speech protected under the First Amendment. Many ceremonies will have a designated area for protests outside the venue.

Our goal is to limit substantial disruption, ensure safety, and support a successful and celebratory event worthy of the achievements of our extraordinary graduates.

Commencement for schools, colleges, departments, and cultural celebrations will include:

Security screening
Required ticket or registration at the vast majority of events
Prohibition of banners, flags and anything that obstructs sightlines
Staffers who will respond to disruptions, beginning with warnings and requests to respect the importance of the celebrations for our graduates and their families
Please remember: U-M is committed to free speech and freedom of expression. Deans and directors will generally be patient with lawful disruptions. If protests significantly impede the program, leadership will take steps to de-escalate and address the interruption.

HAITI HELL: One Week After It Was Installed, Transitional Council Is Helplessly Divided Over New Prime Minister – Violence Continues as Gangs Demand Political Participation

By: Paul Serran — May 4th 2024 at 12:40

Think about Haiti for a second.

A situation as dysfunctional as they have, with this extreme poverty and rampant violence, does not happen overnight – on the contrary, it is a work of decades.

And while the heavily armed rebel gangs are in the spotlight for their unrelenting attacks, the extreme societal collapse was caused by the utterly corrupt political elites.

The last elected leader in Haiti was President Jovenel Moïse, who was assassinated on 7 July 2021 in the capital Port-au-Prince.

Since then, unelected Prime Minister Ariel Henry extended his ‘transitional powers’ until the wave of gang attacks was unleashed while he was abroad and was unable to return.

While the situation on the ground deteriorated, elegant leaders negotiated a political solution from outside the country at the regional CARICOM community.

Their political solutions do not take into consideration the reality on the ground, and also, as they try to implement it, is impossible not to recognize how the various unelected elite players jockeying for political power are very much part of the problem.

In the words of the former police officer and current gang rebel leader Jimmy Chérizier, a.k.a. Barbecue: “It’s not just people with guns who’ve damaged the country but the politicians too.”

Gangs exchanged gunfire with police for hours in neighborhoods near the main international airport.

Associated Press reported:

“An armored police truck patrolled the streets, rolling past charred vehicles and cinderblock walls where someone had scrawled ‘Viv Barbecue’, a reference in Haitian Creole to one of Haiti’s most powerful gang leaders.

[…] [Chérizier] and other gang leaders have been blamed for coordinated attacks that began on Feb. 29 across the capital, Port-au-Prince. Gunmen have burned police stations, opened fire on the main international airport and stormed Haiti’s two biggest prisons, releasing more than 4,000 inmates.

The attacks eventually forced Prime Minister Ariel Henry to resign and led to the creation of a transitional presidential council whose majority unexpectedly announced a new prime minister on Tuesday: Fritz Bélizaire, a former sports minister. The move is threatening to fracture the nine-member council, which was sworn in last week.”

Yes, you read it right. Just one week after the unelected transitional council was installed, they are already at each others’ throats.

Haitian citizens demand a return to normalcy, while rebel gangs are still more powerful and better armed than Haiti’s National Police, but are not included in any negotiations.

Fox News reported:

“A surprise announcement that revealed Haiti’s new prime minister is threatening to fracture a recently installed transitional council tasked with choosing new leaders for the gang-riddled Caribbean country.

Four of seven council members with voting powers said Tuesday that they had chosen Fritz Bélizaire as prime minister, taking many Haitians aback with their declaration and unexpected political alliance.

The council members who oppose Bélizaire, who served as Haiti’s sports minister during the second presidency of René Préval from 2006 to 2011, are now weighing options including fighting the decision or resigning from the council.”

Some council members are reportedly considering other choices as potential prime minister.

The council was scheduled to hold an election and choose its president. But not only a council president was  chosen, but a new prime minister as well.

“A document shared with The Associated Press and signed by the four council members who chose the new prime minister state they have agreed to make decisions by consensus. The document is titled, ‘Constitution of an Indissoluble Majority Bloc within the Presidential Council’.”

The council must prepare for eventual general elections, but most of the council members are longtime politicians, and multiple analysts point out that some of the parties represented on the council are the same ones responsible for the current chaos in Haiti.

Michael Deibert, author: “The council is dominated by the same political currents who have spent the last 25 years driving Haiti over a cliff, taking advantage of impoverished young men in the slums to be used as political bludgeons before – bloated on the proceeds from kidnapping, extortion, drug trafficking and other criminal enterprises – these groups outgrew the necessity of their patrons.”

New Study Suggests Risk of Getting COVID Rises with Each Shot

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 12:20

A new report suggests that risk of getting COVID rises with each shot an individual takes, according to a new study.

The report comes from an analysis of data from Cleveland Clinic that found people who received two or more doses were at higher risk of COVID-19 based on a comparison was against “people who received zero or one dose of a vaccine.”

The researchers said in the paper, “The exact reason for this finding is not clear. It is possible that this may be related to the fact that vaccine-induced immunity is weaker and less durable than natural immunity. So, although somewhat protective in the short term, vaccination may increase the risk of future infection.”

The Epoch Times reports:

The risk of contracting COVID-19 was 1.5 times higher for those who received two doses, 1.95 times higher for those who received three doses, and 2.5 times higher for those who received more than three doses, the researchers found. The higher risk was compared to people who received zero or one dose of a vaccine.

The work of Dr. Naabin Shrestha and others was used in the report and found, “The risk of contracting COVID-19 was 1.5 times higher for those who received two doses, 1.95 times higher for those who received three doses, and 2.5 times higher for those who received three or more doses.”

Even after adjusting for variables, the elevated risk remained.

“The exact reason for this finding is not clear. It is possible that this may be related to the fact that vaccine-induced immunity is weaker and less durable than natural immunity. So, although somewhat protective in the short term, vaccination may increase risk of future infection,” the researchers said in the paper, which was released as a preprint.
Dr. Robert Malone, a vaccine researcher who was not involved in the paper, told The Epoch Times that the paper “served as ‘another acknowledgment that the products are not effective or are at very low effectiveness and are contributing to negative effectiveness [down the line].'”

The latest study comes after the news that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials found evidence that the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines caused multiple deaths before claiming that there was no evidence linking the vaccines to any deaths.

According to the documents obtained by The Epoch Times, CDC employees conducted investigations into reported post-vaccination deaths, particularly focusing on cases involving myocarditis, a known side effect of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

Their findings, spanning the end of 2021, highlighted instances where myocarditis was listed on death certificates and in autopsies for some individuals who had received the vaccines. In some cases, myocarditis was even attributed directly to vaccination.
The internal file obtained by The Epoch Times details numerous cases of individuals who died following COVID-19 vaccination, with autopsy reports attributing causes of death directly to vaccine-related complications such as myocarditis and pericarditis.

“COVID misinformation.” “Conspiracy theories,” they said.

Chinese ‘Spy Cranes’ Targeted in Port Security Executive Order Shortly Before Baltimore Disaster

By: John Mills — May 4th 2024 at 12:00

Commentary

ZPMC is the largest manufacturer of cranes in the world. Its assembly yard is a vast facility on Changxing Island at the mouth of the Yangtze River in Shanghai. The massive yard has ample layout space to fabricate and assemble the iconic container cranes seen at ports around the world. Typically, the cranes are shipped assembled, and the ZPMC yard has a large wharf to load them onto specially designed, heavy-lift ships and then deliver them all over the world.

ZPMC’s factory is next to another important facility for China. The flagship shipyard of China’s frenetic naval expansion is Jiangnan Shipyard, adjacent to ZPMC, where the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Aircraft Carrier 003, the Fujian, is fitting out, and the first PLAN nuclear-powered Aircraft Carrier 004 is being built.
ZPMC has approximately 80 percent market share for container cranes, which are indispensable for port operations in the United States. They provide great efficiencies and are internet-enabled to ensure that the cranes can fully collect and share multiple data streams, including camera systems to monitor all activity in and around the cranes. Internet connectivity means that these cranes are not just cranes but internet protocol (IP) endpoints on a worldwide network.

Chinese ‘Spy Cranes’ to Be Replaced

Being IP-enabled can be a good and a bad thing. The U.S. government ordered the removal of Hikvision closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) over concerns that this broadly used CCTV system was omnipresent throughout the U.S. government and being used to spy on sensitive government facilities (this same guidance removed Huawei and ZTE information technology).
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, which operates continuity of operations (COOP) sites for the U.S. government, is helping state and local government agencies “rip and replace” Hikvision from their emergency operations centers (EOCs).

The ZPMC cranes are replete with similar cameras that analysts in China could use to count and examine shipments. Signals could also be sent to the cranes to make them potentially unsafe or inoperable.

The Biden administration, in February 2024, issued guidance that $20 billion in grants will be made available to ports to remove their ZPMC cranes and replace them with cranes made by PACECO Corp., a U.S.-based subsidiary of Mitsui E&S Co. Ltd. (Japan).
“Ripping and replacing” port cranes is a much larger and more complex civil engineering effort than remediating the CCTV situation at U.S. government facilities, COOP sites, and EOCs. This will have to be done with sophisticated planning and scheduling to ensure that American ports are not disrupted in their existing commercial throughput or any contingency surges caused by international affairs such as tension in the Western Pacific.
Port Security Equals Cybersecurity
The same guidance released by the Biden administration also addressed longstanding port security issues that have fallen into the gap and seamlines between the roles and responsibilities of the U.S. Coast Guard, other parts of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense, and the Department of Justice.

In the new guidance, the Coast Guard “will have the express authority to respond to malicious cyber activity in the nation’s MTS [Marine Transportation System] by requiring vessels and waterfront facilities to mitigate cyber conditions that may endanger the safety of a vessel, facility, or harbor.”

Simultaneously, the administration released the U.S. Maritime Advisory titled “2024-002-Worldwide-Foreign Adversarial Technological, Physical, and Cyber Influence.” This unusual and extraordinary advisory went into detail on multiple cyber concerns in the civilian maritime environment. Pervasive software used in the maritime logistics tracking environment, LOGINK, was identified as an untrusted, Chinese-originated software that could be used for malign purposes. Nuctech, which makes advanced inspection equipment used broadly in ports, was similarly identified as a company of concern. This determination of untrusted Chinese equipment in sensitive port locations and activities did not come out of thin air.

Volt Typhoon Cyberattack

In May 2023, the first reports of a Chinese cyberattack on critical infrastructure were made public by Microsoft, which said in a statement that the “Volt Typhoon campaign is pursuing development of capabilities that could disrupt critical communications infrastructure between the United States and Asia region during future crises.”

The DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) made initial comments, and then a quiet time ensued—most likely because the U.S. government was convening working groups to study, assess, and make recommendations.

Starting in December 2023, the public comments of CISA Director Jen Easterly, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and the new Cyber Command/National Security Agency Director General Timothy Haugh began to reveal the outcome of this analysis period, and the officials were ready to share the findings in a loud, vocal, and unequivocal manner in multiple appearances before Congress and in public statements.

Gen. Haugh said China was securing access to U.S. critical networks before a direct confrontation between the two countries would occur.

Mr. Wray was more precise when he said, “It’s difficult to know the intent of the preparation, but it was aligned with China’s broader goal to stop the United States from defending Taiwan.”

Ms. Easterly said: “This is truly an ‘Everything Everywhere, All at Once’ scenario. And it’s one where the Chinese government believes that it will likely crush American will for the U.S. to defend Taiwan in the event of a major conflict there.”

The removal of Chinese “spy cranes” and the fortification of American ports have led the Chinese to surge Volt Typhoon to ensure that they have diversity in all possible aspects of U.S. critical infrastructure.

CBS Claims Human Smuggling At Border 'Is More Complex'

By: Alex Christy — May 4th 2024 at 11:56
On CBS Saturday Morning, host Dana Jacobson sat down to discuss the border crisis with anthropology Prof. Jason De Leon, where the duo also hyped his new book on human smuggling. Both host and author claimed the issue “is more complex” than simply viewing the smugglers as bad guys who take advantage of people. Jacobson reported, “The business of human smuggling, according to the Department of Homeland Security, is a multibillion dollar industry, run by criminal organizations intent on taking advantage of vulnerable people. The story de Leon tells is more complex.”     De Leon differentiates between smugglers and traffickers. For him, a smuggler is working within a consensual agreement with the person seeking to cross the border, whereas a trafficker is not. He therefore claimed, “I can write a story about how they're the bad guys in this whole scenario and all they do is brutalize migrants, but if you think about the realities, if smugglers only brutalized migrants, the system wouldn't function, and so I went into it telling myself that, you know, what can I find that's relatable, it's not trying to humanize smugglers, it's working from the assumption that they are human first and that they just happen to be in this brutal occupation.” Jacobson then claimed that smugglers and migrants face the same set of challenges, “The low-level smugglers de Leon met said issues like poverty and gang violence had driven them out of Honduras. The same issues many migrants also face.”  She then asked, “You talk about smuggling and think what you write, it's violent, it exploits people, but that it's also a symptom of a larger problem. What is that larger problem?” That does not sound complex at all. In fact, de Leon would spend much of the rest of the time portraying smuggling as a get-rich-quick scheme. He also blamed things such as climate change for the crisis, “We need to think about why are people migrating in the first place, and you know, why does the United States have an insatiable appetite for cheap, undocumented labor that we rarely acknowledge, and as long as you need the labor and as long as climate is changing and making places unlivable, those smugglers are going to stay in business and just make more money off of this whole process.” After de Leon warned the crisis is not going to end any time soon, Jacobson added, “A future de Leon hopes can be made easier by considering different perspectives and the humanity of everyone involved.” De Leon concluded by lamenting, “The approaches that we've been using to deal with these problems have clearly been ineffective for decades and yet we just don't seem to want to get smarter about this stuff… You can build whatever border wall you want. There are desperate people on the other side who are willing to die to save themselves, to save their family, and then there are smugglers who are willing to make a buck on that in all kinds of different ways, so that will just keep the system, kind of, going forever.” You can’t have a policy that claims the weather being too hot is a legitimate asylum claim and as CBS itself admitted, the smugglers exploit people and subject them to possible death, so why is this complex? Here is a transcript for the May 4 show: CBS Saturday Mornings 5/4/2024 8:54 AM ET DANA JACOBSON: The business of human smuggling, according to the Department of Homeland Security, is a multibillion dollar industry, run by criminal organizations intent on taking advantage of vulnerable people. The story de Leon tells is more complex. JASON DE LEON: I can write a story about how they're the bad guys in this whole scenario and all they do is brutalize migrants, but if you think about the realities, if smugglers only brutalized migrants, the system wouldn't function, and so I went into it telling myself that, you know, what can I find that's relatable, it's not trying to humanize smugglers, it's working from the assumption that they are human first and that they just happen to be in this brutal occupation. JACOBSON: The low-level smugglers de Leon met said issues like poverty and gang violence had driven them out of Honduras. The same issues many migrants also face.  You talk about smuggling and think what you write, it's violent, it exploits people, but that it's also a symptom of a larger problem. What is that larger problem? DE LEON: We need to think about why are people migrating in the first place, and you know, why does the United States have an insatiable appetite for cheap, undocumented labor that we rarely acknowledge, and as long as you need the labor and as long as climate is changing and making places unlivable, those smugglers are going to stay in business and just make more money off of this whole process. JACOBSON: It's an industry that continues to grow as migrant encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border hit record highs with people coming from as far away as Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. DE LEON: People are coming from around the globe. They're coming up from South America, through the Darien Gap. It's a window into the future as all those places become unlivable for different reasons. We're going to continue to see that mix of people coming up from the south to our doorstep. JACOBSON: A future de Leon hopes can be made easier by considering different perspectives and the humanity of everyone involved. DE LEON: The approaches that we've been using to deal with these problems have clearly been ineffective for decades and yet we just don't seem to want to get smarter about this stuff. I hope with this book that it's a way to undermine the simplistic framings of what the problem actually is. You can build whatever border wall you want. There are desperate people on the other side who are willing to die to save themselves, to save their family, and then there are smugglers who are willing to make a buck on that in all kinds of different ways, so that will just keep the system, kind of, going forever.

Hip Hop Mogul Says R. Kelly Doesn’t Deserve To Stay In Prison For Sexually Assaulting Minors

By: Sharika Soal — May 4th 2024 at 11:40
Benzino/ Vlad TV- YouTube

The well-known Source magazine founder and rapper Benzino, who also appeared on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop, believes R. Kelly has been mistreated after being sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2022 for sex trafficking minors.

On Wednesday, the media mogul spoke about redemption in relation to black male artists who have sexual relations with girls under the age of consent during an appearance on the We In Miami podcast.

Benzino says R. Kelly deserves a second chance: “The legal age is 16 but he’s doing all this time because they’re two years younger” pic.twitter.com/dPGIlNGJHg

— SAY CHEESE! (@SaycheeseDGTL) May 1, 2024

HipHopDx reports,

“Everybody deserves a second chance,” he said when asked about the Chicago native. “The legal age is 16 years old, so does that make it right if a n-gga does it, yes or no?”

When the women around the table all collectively agreed that it’s still wrong, he continued: “Alright, but it’s legal in America, so why the fuck is R. Kelly doing all this time? Because you know why? Because they’re 14 and 13 — two years younger — but you don’t think that the people who cleared it for 16 years old didn’t know that they’re fucking with 13s and 14s, too.

“Like even to make [an] age that young to be the law, you already know they’re going under that. I’m not condoning n-ggas fucking with little girls — it’s sick, alright, it’s sick, it’s sick — but I don’t think R. Kelly should rot in jail for 30 years either.”

— KenBarbie™ (@itsKenBarbie) May 1, 2024

Side Note: For many years, I have talked about how hip-hop and gang culture prey on teenage boys and girls. This industry sees a broken human and exploits that wound by dangling a carrot of “getting out of the hood” when it’s really a door to glorified sex work and pornography.

The 58-year-old added: “What about R. Kelly getting molested when he was a kid? They didn’t take [that into] consideration […] They exploited him and made all these documentaries that all these people made money off of.

“Them parents of them girls knew what they were dealing with, with R. Kelly — a lot of people knew that shit, y’know what I’m saying? — but R. Kelly wasn’t educated, man. Like when does that come in play?

See what I mean?

Additionally, Boosie Badazz, another well-known, established black male rapper, was upset over Kelly’s three-decade sentence. Though he conceded the R&B veteran did wrong and deserves time in jail, the Baton Rouge rapper also argued his crimes did not warrant such a lengthy sentence.

Boosie Badazz is most known for his affiliation with Lil Wayne’s record label, Cash Money Records, which is owned and operated by Birdman.

“People getting 15/20 years for murder n he get 30!!” he tweeted. “Yes he was wrong af for manipulating young girls n sexing them but he didn’t kill anyone, aggravated rape anyone .N no blame on the parents who knew everything. Resentence this man!! College professors get probation for this shit.

“Get this man some help n some jail time but don’t give him a death sentence ,30 years !!Maybe he can one get out one day n warn these young girls about older predators n make a difference ?but 30 years like Come on world!!”

He even pointed the finger at the parents of Kelly’s victims, posting a screenshot of a court document that alleged one of the underage girls’ mother “engineered [her] relationship” with the singer and “actively misled [him] about her age.”

It’s rather interesting right before an election, two extremely prominent hip-hop figures have come out in support of sexual misconduct with minors.

Could someone have paid the owner of Source Magazine to randomly come out and say he thinks sex with minors is not that bad? His daughter has now disowned him over his statements.

I am asking these questions because with all the Diddy news coming out, you would think black men in the hip-hop industry would be walking a fine line and not want to appear to sympathize with sex trafficking.

Kevin O’Leary Has Bad News for Terrorist Apologist Protestors on College Campuses, “This Will Come Back to Haunt You” (Video)

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 11:20
Kevin O’Leary joins Fox & Friends Weekend

Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O’Leary, joined Fox & Friends Weekend and shared bad news for the terrorist apologist protestors throwing tantrums on college campuses across the nation.

He warned that  high-tech AI is capturing everyone, and their behavior will “come back to haunt you.”

Pete Hegseth: Anarchy on college campuses continuing through the weekend with student activists pushing their pro-Hamas sentiments. And now, Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary is sounding off with a word of caution for those agitators. O’Leary warning that student protesters are’ trashing their job chances,’ adding them when it comes to their futures, ‘they are screwed.’ Shark Tank investor and O’Leary Ventures’ chair, Kevin O’Leary, is here with us now.

Kevin, thanks for being here. Why are they screwed? Is it because a lot of them are wearing masks, they’re trying to hide their identity. Do you think that’ll work?

Kevin O’Leary: It used to work back in the ’60s and ’70s because it was only recorded on 16-millimeter film. Today, all of this video security cameras are at a 1080p and 4K resolution. Extremely high resolution that allows you to use AI protocols to identify people by the iris or just a partial exposure of the face.

Do you ever wonder how they captured every single person that marched on the hill in the insurgents? Now, whether they were arrested or not didn’t matter, but every single individual on that hill eventually was identified using this AI technology today, it’s very available. It’s inexpensive.

And I use it as an employer every time we have a candidate in the executive suite. We do a deep dive and we find out where you came… We’re looking for what you say on your resume matching your reality of your life.

Obviously, I don’t care what side you’re on in the protest, but if you’re fighting police, burning flags, wrecking properties, breaking in, breaking through windows, I’m going to know that. And so is the government, so is everybody else. So think about that. That’s all I’m telling these young people.

Think about it because it’s not free.

Pete Hegseth:Do you think they’re thinking about it or do they think this will pay off? I mean, everything in their incentive structure, Kevin, in academia says become an activist, agitate. That’s what their universities are telling them to do. Wouldn’t they want their best opportunities in mind?

Kevin O’Leary: Well, universities and the concept of tenor for professors is allowing people with different thoughts and ideas to flourish. That’s what our institutions are all about. But I’m just going back to a simple fact. When you break the law of the land, you become a criminal.

If you think by putting a mask on or wearing sunglasses is going to protect you, it doesn’t. That’s all I’m telling you. I think when you’re in your 20s, you’re very passionate, and Everybody get that and everybody goes through that process. But think about it. Think about what happens next. In 10 years, why didn’t you get that job? Why didn’t you get on that board? Why can’t you get a loan?

I’m telling you why right now, because I saw you do it, and you lied to me on your resume that you never broke the law. Well, you did. Whether you get caught or not doesn’t matter to me as an employer. That’s why you should really think this through. I teach this in colleges now. The world has changed because we have AI and we’ve got high-resolution imagery, and it’s being captured every day, and it goes on the dark web within 48 hours. I can see it anytime I want.

Large “Transgender (Bio Male)” Student Brutally Assaults Much Smaller Girl at New York High School While Fellow Pupils Film Attack – Bomb Threat Sent to School (VIDEO)

By: Cullen Linebarger — May 4th 2024 at 11:00

A horrifying video has emerged showing a large transgender (biological male) student attacking a smaller and weaker girl in a New York high school women’s restroom, which resulted in a bomb threat being sent to the institution after the clip was discovered online.

While the assault at Greece Arcadia High School in Rochester reportedly took place in February, it was only uncovered on Thursday by the feminist website Reduxx. The outlet also noted the school refused to share any details regarding the awful beating.

The clip captured by Reduxx shows the transgender teen storming into a restroom stall and laying a beatdown on the innocent girl while other students record the assault on their cell phones.

The trans student then grabs the helpless girl by her hair and violently drags her out along the floor and into the hallway. The victim can be heard screaming in terror.

The transgender teen lands several more punches on his victim before a school staff member finally arrives to help break up the one-sided fight. Another person then picks the girl up and carries her away.

WATCH:

According to another student at the school, the attacker is a boy who identifies as a girl. He was allegedly retaliating for perceived insults.

WXXI News reported the school received an “anti-transgender” bomb threat loaded with profanity just after 6 a.m. on Friday, the day after the video went viral.

According to WHEC, the threat message accused Greece Arcadia High School of failing to ensure a safe learning environment. It also claimed the district was encouraging “mentally ill” and “degenerate” behavior in students, explicitly referencing the brawl.

School officials evacuated both Greece Arcadia High and Middle schools following the threat. Classes were delayed from opening for two hours as police investigated the bomb threat.

Superintendent Kathleen Graupman called the bomb threat a hate crime and claimed outside forces were using the brutal assault to advance an agenda.

“It is clear that this is being used for an agenda, whether it’s a personal or political agenda, it is being used. That fight that occurred was significant and very, very upsetting and disturbing, and also, I want to be very clear: it involved minors, and it involved minors that deserve respect and privacy. We don’t get to share videos and names and peoples’ personal identities out there,” Graupman said.

As WHEC notes, Graupman went on to say the school district is helping authorities find and prosecute the individual or individuals who sent the bomb threat.

There is no word on whether the vicious attack on the innocent girl by the transgender student will be investigated and prosecuted, however.

Here We Go… Farmworker Gets Bird Flu in First Reported Case of Transmission from Farm Animals to Humans

The first reported case of bird flu was reported in Texas from a farm animal to a human. There is no evidence yet that the virus will spread among humans. via NBC

The Mirror reported:

The first image of a Texas dairy farmer who caught bird flu from a cow – with his eyeballs seen bleeding.

Thankfully, the man had “very mild” symptoms after contracting HSN1 virus, but the stark image shows how the virus caused bleeding on the surface of his eyeballs. This is because the blood vessels in his eyes popped.

Experts at the CDC say that they think he caught the virus from an infected cow in March. In an official case report, published on Friday, the CDC said that they found “strong evidence” through genetic data that pointed them to this conclusion.

This revelation shows the first sign of HSN1 virus spreading from mammals to humans. The World Health Organisation said that this is a “milestone” that is of “enormous concern.” The images of the patient, plus further details about his case, were published in a report in the New England Journal of Medicine.

So far, nearly 900 people in 23 countries have been infected with the H5N1 strain of avian flu over the last 20 years. However, they were all linked to wild or kept birds.

TOO BIG TO RIG?… Trump Crushes Joe Biden in New Rasmussen Poll, 48%-36%

By: Jim Hoft — May 4th 2024 at 10:20

Have you EVER seen a presidential poll worth its salt with this large of a gap between candidates?

Rasmussen reported this morning – President Trump’s 12 point lead over Joe Biden may be TOO BIG TO RIG!

With a 12-point lead, is Trump’s impending victory now “too big to rig?”

We explore it in detail.

Plus Biden loses the youth vote and the @BLS_gov is probably lying about unemployment.

Mark Mitchell, the head pollster at Rasmussen Reports, released the following video to go with this thermonuclear poll.

Mark Mitchell: Today we’re going to be covering this month’s new Thermonuclear 2024 presidential election result. And those results show Donald Trump increasing his lead to almost insurmountable numbers. But if your name is Joseph Robinette Biden or you’re one of his supporters, there’s news for you in here, too. Unfortunately, it’s not good. Joe Biden has the lowest support he’s ever had amongst 18 to 39-year-old voters. And that’s really big news since they usually vote left…

…If you look at Democrats, only 70 % of Democrats say that they would vote Joe Biden today, and That’s 10 points less than the Republicans who would vote Trump. And 16 % of Democrats say they would vote for Donald Trump. So that adds up to a 16 point crossover advantage for Donald Trump, which is stunningly large. But check out that independent line… Joe Biden is only getting 26% of independents. That’s an 18 point lead for Trump, which is quite a bit bigger than we’ve seen in our recent polling…

…Joe Biden is losing by two points among 18 to 39-year-olds. Now, a good portion of them are going Kennedy, and Trump only has 36 % of the vote. But that 34 % number from Biden is the lowest he’s had this cycle. And again, 18 to 39-year-olds are usually all in for Democrats.

Watch the video here.

UNC Frat Bros Update: John Rich Promises to Perform at “Flagstock”

By: Margaret Flavin — May 4th 2024 at 10:00

On Wednesday morning,  The Gateway Pundit reported on the heroic University of North Carolina fraternity brothers who protected a fallen American flag from a pro-Hamas mob despite a violent onslaught from the radicals.

Their patriotic actions inspired Americans across the country.

A GoFundMe was started with the modest goal of throwing these young men an ‘epic rager.’

But their actions resonated so profoundly with their fellow Americans that that goal was epically surpassed. The fundraiser raised more than $500,000 in 24 hours.

Country music legend John Rich announced his plans to join the brothers for the upcoming party dubbed ‘Flagstock.’

Rich shared, “I just wanted to give you a little update on the free concert offer I made to the folks at UNC, to those students for their bravery and their patriotism by not allowing our United States flag to hit the ground.”

“They stood there while they were being hit with bottles, and rocks, and sticks, and they just stood there.  They did not let Old Glory touch the ground.”

“So we are going to find a date to do this show, we are calling it ‘Flagstock.’  I’ll keep you posted.”

An update on the GoFundMe page shares, “We have been overwhelmed by the sheer force of patriotism on display here. What started as a modest request to buy a few kegs for some great young guys has ballooned into an American cultural moment, with millions of people paying attention: blue and red, left and right, all of the above.”

“First, people should understand that we organized this fundraiser independently. That has been misreported by certain press outlets. We aren’t brothers ourselves: just Americans who admire young people like the men of UNC fraternities — members from at least eight different houses, by our count, many of whom we’ve now met.”

The organizer also shared that funds will be distributed to multiple fraternities involved in protecting Old Glory from protestors to support charitable causes “that are consistent with the fundraiser’s patriotic theme.”

The willingness of these young men to stand up to the destructive forces has been echoed on college campuses across the country.

Thursday afternoon at Ole Miss, HUNDREDS of male students gathered at the Pro-Hamas camp and began singing the National Anthem.

Pro-America students at LSU drowned out pro-Hamas protesters with chants of  “USA! USA!”

Even students in liberal New Jersey at Rutgers University have had enough of the terrorist apologists as students countered the anti-Israel agitators on campus and waved the American flag, chanting, ‘USA! USA!’

In a twist no one was expecting, patriots rallied at the liberal hotbed of The University of Chicago.

Students at GWU, where a statue of George Washington was covered by a Palestinian terrorist rag and flag, unfurled a massive American flag right in the faces of the protestors.

At a time when it is easy to despair about the younger generation, there is also much to be hopeful of.

Elite Universities Are Now Getting Hit with Yet Another Problem: Furious Parents

By: Jack Davis, The Western Journal — May 4th 2024 at 09:45

For $90,000 a year, parents of some elite school students expected more than hate.

A report in The Wall Street Journal says some parents are calling for tuition refunds and rethinking future enrollments.

“They are not getting the education they expected and paid for,” Zev Gewurz, a Boston real-estate lawyer whose daughter is a senior at New York City’s Barnard College. Barnard was founded as a women’s college adjacent to Columbia University. The cost of attendance at Barnard tops $90,000

Gewurz said Barnard gave an “inadequate response” to hate speech.

“I try to tell her that this is not her fault, and that she is living in a moment in history and needs to keep her head high,” he told the Journal.

Debra Lynn Eden, whose daughter is a junior at Princeton, complained, “It’s all a giant distraction to the students who are trying to complete their studies in a high-stress environment.”

Christopher Rim, founder and CEO of Command Education, which helps students complete applications, said parents of Columbia and University of California – Los Angeles students are calling for refunds.

“Physically blocking their child from attending class or a lecture hall is 100 percent not what they signed up for,” he said. “They are beyond upset at what’s going on.”

“I’ve had so many parents emailing, calling, asking me what they can do,” Rim told the London Times.

“There’s been protests, encampments and physical violence that has interrupted their education and they’re not happy. Fees at these sorts of schools are phenomenally high; parents want to feel like they are getting what they pay for and right now they don’t,” he said.

The lack of a commencement also galls parents.

Lana Shami’s daughter will graduate from the University of Southern California without a ceremony due to protests.

“There will be no celebration at the university where we paid an exorbitant amount of tuition for the past four years. It’s a huge letdown,” Shami said.

“This is not the experience that my freshman daughter should be having, that any of the students of any year should be having,” Amy Gallatin, whose daughter attends Barnard, said, according to  Fox News.

Gallatin said her daughter took a final exam Tuesday as protests were raging.

“My daughter is also frustrated [and] understandably so,” she said. “She had a final exam yesterday at 6 o’clock that she was taking from her dorm only to have the protesters on the street banging and clanging and chanting.”

Hearing chants interpreted as seeking the death of Jews was “a very unsettling experience,” Gallatin said, and “walking through all of those people is a scary thing.”

CNN reported that one Jewish high school senior, whose name was not used, ditched Barnard due to the protests.

The student chose Brandeis University in Massachusetts, in part due to its A rating from an Anti-Defamation League list of colleges that ranked their support for Jewish students.

“Barnard was my top choice. I was so dead set on going,” the student said. “But after seeing what is happening on campuses, I feel so glad I am going to Brandeis. I feel really happy and safe knowing they got an A.”

PBS Wonders Why College Protests Are Labeled Anti-Semitic

By: Alex Christy — May 4th 2024 at 10:02
The cast of Friday’s PBS NewsHour was greatly confused. Host William Brangham didn’t understand why the anti-Israel college demonstrators, on the whole, have been branded as anti-Semitic, while Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart didn’t know why it is so hard for the demonstrators to protest Israel without degenerating into anti-Semitism. Brangham’s remarks came on the heels of New York Times columnist David Brooks warning that the protests are toxic for Democrats, “I think if the protests continue to veer in the direction they're veering, you could see some pretty serious repercussions, which is why Biden is speaking, which is why Chuck Schumer is speaking, trying to distance themselves from what the protesters are doing.”     Claiming his first-hand look at the protests disproved the idea that they are rampant with anti-Semitism, Brangham wondered, “I mean, Jonathan, a lot of the critics of these protests like to say that it's all anti-Semitism, just a hot stew of anti-Israeli bias. I was at one of the NYU protests earlier this week, and there is some of that, for sure. But it's mostly young people, as you were describing, who are despairing over what is happening in Gaza. How is it that people who care deeply about this issue can't — can somehow protest and not be risked being branded as anti-Semities?” Capehart began by correcting him, “So, there's anti-Semitism, but then you anti — you said anti-Israeli,” to which Brangham apologized, “I'm even conflating it myself here.” That settled, Capehart proceeded, “Exactly. And that is the issue. It is possible to criticize the government of Israel, the state of Israel, the prime minister of Israel, the policies, what he says, his actions, without veering into ugly anti-Semitism. If you don't like what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing in Gaza, not allowing enough humanitarian aid to go through, that is a legitimate criticism.” He then added, “But to then go into all the ugliness, some of the ugliness that we have heard, that's not okay. I don't understand how — why it's so hard to state your objections without being bigoted about it.” Perhaps we can help both Brangham and Capehart out. If you listen to what the leaders of the movement say, they talk about defeating Zionism which is simply the belief that Israel should exist. That is not criticism of Netanyahu and is an anti-Semitic position, according to President Barack Obama’s State Department. As your typical liberal, Capehart believes that there should be a ceasefire leading to two states for two peoples and that Netanyahu is an obstacle to this, but he and his fellow liberals keep projecting their liberalism onto Marxists and others who do not want such an outcome by refusing to acknowledge that the problem is with the group’s leaders and professors, not a handful of bad actors who corrupted a genuine anti-war, pro-peace movement.  Here is a transcript for the May 3 show: PBS NewsHour 5/3/2024 7:36 PM ET DAVID BROOKS: And, so I think if the protests continue to veer in the direction they're veering, you could see some pretty serious repercussions, which is why Biden is speaking, which is why Chuck Schumer is speaking, trying to distance themselves from what the protesters are doing. WILLIAM BRANGHAM: I mean, Jonathan, a lot of the critics of these protests like to say that it's all anti-Semitism, just a hot stew of anti-Israeli bias. I was at one of the NYU protests earlier this week, and there is some of that, for sure. But it's mostly young people, as you were describing, who are despairing over what is happening in Gaza. How is it that people who care deeply about this issue can't — can somehow protest and not be risked being branded as anti-Semities? JONATHAN CAPEHART: Okay, what — excuse me. So, there's anti-Semitism, but then you anti — you said anti-Israeli. BRANGHAM: I'm even conflating it myself here. CAPHEART: Exactly. And that is the issue. It is possible to criticize the government of Israel, the state of Israel, the prime minister of Israel, the policies, what he says, his actions, without veering into ugly anti-Semitism. If you don't like what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing in Gaza, not allowing enough humanitarian aid to go through, that is a legitimate criticism. Leftist Journos and Hollywood Celebs Trash Trump But Praise Pro-Hamas Protests

By: Geoffrey Dickens — May 4th 2024 at 09:39
It’s an odd state of affairs when a former President of the United States is called a threat to the “bedrock tenets of democracy,” the “rule of law itself” and is compared to Adolf Hitler but pro-Hamas/anti-Semitic protestors are praised for “singing prayers of peace.” Yet that is where the leftist press and their Hollywood friends are right now. Yikes! This past month saw ABC’s Good Morning America co-host and This Week moderator George Stephanopoulos warning his audience that Donald Trump was testing the “bedrock tenets of our democracy” in a way “we haven’t seen since the Civil War.”  MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace feared she would be out of a job after a Trump victory because of his “outward disdain” for a “free press.” Meanwhile Wallace’s MSNBC colleague Joy Reid came out spinning for the pro-Hamas protestors who took over college campuses as she claimed they weren’t hurling anti-Semitic slurs but rather “singing words of peace.”  Over on CNN, podcaster Kara Swisher waved her finger at the critics of the college kids: “Not to support them, is sort of anti-American.” Hollywood celebrities spouted crazy exaggerations about Trump too. ABC’s Black-ish actress Jenifer Lewis feared that “Hitler” Trump “will punish everybody that didn’t vote for him,” put “us in camps.” While actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore begged Vice President Kamala Harris to be the “Momala of the country.” The following are the most obnoxious outbursts by leftist journalists and celebrities during the month of April:  [LANGUAGE WARNING]   Trump Is Testing the “Bedrock Tenets” of “Democracy”     “Until now, no American presidential race has been more defined on what’s happening in courtrooms than what is happening on the campaign trail. Until now. The scale of the abnormality is so staggering that it can actually become numbing. It’s all too easy to fall into reflective habits — to treat this as a normal campaign where both sides embrace the rule of law, where both sides are dedicated to a debate based on facts and the peaceful transfer of power. But that is not what’s happening this election year. Those bedrock tenets of our democracy are being tested in a way we haven’t seen since the Civil War. It’s a test for the candidates, for those of us in the media, and for all of us as citizens.”— Moderator George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s This Week, April 28.   A Trump Win Could Lead to the End of a “Free Press,” and “The Rule of Law Itself” “Depending what happens in November — seven months from right now — this time next year, I might not be sitting here. There might not be a White House Correspondents Dinner or a free press. While our democracy won’t exactly fall apart immediately without it, the real threat looms larger. A candidate with outward disdain not just for a free press but for all of our freedoms and the rule of law itself.” — Host Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, April 29.   Protesters Aren’t Hurling Anti-Semitic Insults, They’re “Singing Words of Peace”     “I saw….these students singing and singing about peace and singing salaam, singing words of peace. So, it just didn’t square with what I was even hearing on television and television commentators saying was shrieking anti-Semitism, I didn’t hear it.”— Host Joy Reid on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, April 22.    “Anti-American” To Oppose Young Pro-Hamas Protesters “The question is, are you for order and against chaos, or for protests and the right to free speech?...All the free-speech warriors are suddenly like, order, order, we must have order. And so there are heinous things that are said, but there is a line where you have to support also young people, especially when they do things that they do badly. Not to support them, is sort of anti-American in a way.”— Podcast host/former New York Magazine contributing editor Kara Swisher on CNN’s The Chris Wallace Show, April 27.   Netanyahu = Stalin     “It is increasingly looking like Benjamin Netanyahu had a plan to force famine on the Palestinian people, on the Gazan people, to amp up the pressure on Hamas….You’re starving women and children in Gaza….They’re now having to grind up dog food and cat food and….drink salt water….It’s savage conditions, and it’s calculated….It’s calculated just like Stalin’s starvation of Ukrainians was calculated.”   — Co-host Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, April 5.    If You Vote for Trump, You Are Not a “Patriot” “There’s a patriotic duty to support President Biden against Donald Trump, for this reason: Patriotism is allegiance to an idea. It’s not just an allegiance to your own kind. That’s nationalism. Trump is a nationalist. President Biden is a patriot.”— MSNBC contributor/presidential historian Jon Meacham on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, April 19.   Fretting That Trump’s Trials May Hurt Biden      “These legal cases have only helped him fundraising….energized his base….He’s risen in the polls with every indictment….The problem for Joe Biden and the Democrats is….the trial is crowding out everything else. So Joe Biden goes out and does policy things….But everything else is crowded out….That’s what happened in 2016 to Hillary Clinton and that could be replicated this year.”— NBC chief foreign correspondent and MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell on NBC’s Meet the Press, April 21.   “Wonderfully Poetic!” Joy Reid Cheers “My DEIs” for Prosecuting Trump     “The first person to actually criminally prosecute Donald Trump is a black Harvard grad....He came out and graduated and he’s prosecuting you, Donald. And a black woman is doing the same exact thing in Georgia. And a black woman forced you to pay a $175 million fine….Trump is being held to account by the very multicultural, multiracial democracy that he’s trying to dismantle. And for me, there’s something poetic and actually wonderful about that. It says something good about our country that we’re still capable of having that happen. Go, DEI! My DEIs are bringing it home.”— Host Joy Reid on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, April 15.   Katie Couric’s Condescending Take on Trump Voters     “The socio-economic disparities are a lot and class resentment is a lot and anti-intellectualism and elitism is what is driving many of these anti-establishment  — which are Trump voters — so, I think that is a huge problem that we have to address.”— Former NBC Today co-host and CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric on HBO Real Time host Bill Maher’s podcast Club Random with Bill Maher, April 14.    Immediately Tying Trump to Man Who Set Himself on Fire “It seems then, that the gravitational pull of the Trump melodrama that has gripped the nation since he came down the escalator has now, it appears, resulted in someone coming to that where protesters have gathered and lit himself on fire.”— Correspondent Terry Moran during ABC’s live coverage of the Donald Trump trial, April 19.    Trump = Cult Leader Like David Koresh, Jim Jones or Charles Manson     “What Donald Trump is doing….it’s kind of David Koresh. It’s kind of Jim Jones. Because those two men started by saying, ‘You need to come to Jesus.’ They started as Christian evangelizers. But eventually, their evangelism said, ‘No, I get to have your wife. No actually, I get to tell you to kill these federal agents that are outside. I’m asking you to pick up a machine gun and shoot them because I don’t want to go to jail.’...It’s making me lose my mind to watch people who call themselves Christians fall down on their knees and worship this man. This is [Charles] Manson stuff.”— Co-host Joy Reid on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, April 2.    It’s a Conspiracy! Blaming High Gas Prices on Donald’s Oil Business Buddies  “These prices are not the fault of President Biden….We’ve got the highest oil production in U.S. history and some overseas oil producers who would sure like to help DJT.”— Host Stephanie Ruhle on MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle, April 17.   NBC’s Brief Hiring of Former RNC Chair Was a Blow to “Democracy”     “It was an unpleasant few days at our network….In mainstream media, we need to include an array of voices. But there’s a line, and the line is truth….You have to be someone upholding our democracy.”— NBC’s Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, April 3.   America Ruled By a Bunch of “Grumpy Old Men” Like Afghanistan and Iran “[France] actually signed into law a constitutional amendment to guarantee a woman’s right to make choices about her own body….This was sort of a demonstration of will by….a country that’s very supportive of your revolution, to show that this is universal human rights and that women actually need to be treated like adults and whether it’s Afghanistan, Iran, or the United States, a bunch of grumpy old men shouldn't be making essential decisions.”— PBS/CNN host Christiane Amanpour on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, April 11.    “Handmaid’s Tale Come to Life” in Arizona “People say it may sound like a joke….A lot of people are saying, unfortunately, it is not a joke. And that is where we’re going to begin today….The [Arizona] Supreme Court reinstating a law from the 1800s — 1800s — that bans nearly all abortion in the state….I’ve heard people use the phrases like “Is this Handmaid’s Tale come to life, in real life?’”— Co-host Gayle King on CBS Mornings, April 10.   Republicans Are Making Women’s Lives “More Miserable”      “[Mike] Pence, Lindsey Graham, and [Donald] Trump are fighting to see who could make women’s lives more miserable. That’s like what they’re really fighting for. ‘How can we really destroy women in this country?’ That’s it.”— Co-host Joy Behar on ABC’s The View, April 9.   “Hitler” Trump “Will Punish Everybody That Didn’t Vote For Him,” Put “Us In Camps” “If that man [Donald Trump] gets in, as soon as he takes the oath, he will have generals walk down the steps of the Capitol….He will take a hammer and break the glass where the Constitution is, and he will tear it up in our faces and say, ‘Now I’m the king of the fucking world. You will bow down, bitches.’ He will punish everybody that didn’t vote for him….I know what mental illness looks like! That mania is unstoppable! See, this motherfucker is Hitler. He didn’t come to play….That motherfucker will have us in camps.” — ABC’s Black-ish actress Jenifer Lewis on the Sirius/XM radio show Mornings with Zerlina, April 4.   Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Are the “Father” and “Momala” of “Our Country”     “I keep thinking in my head that we all need a mom. I’ve been thinking that we really all need a tremendous hug in the world right now, but in our country, we need you to be Momala of the country.”— Actress/talk show host Drew Barrymore to Vice President Kamala Harris on the syndicated The Drew Barrymore Show, April 29.  “You’re the kind of leader I love, because we’re lucky to have you in the Oval Office. And serving as the father of the country because if you’re a good father to your family — which you are — I know you’ll be a good father to the country.” — Host Howard Stern to President Joe Biden on Sirius/XM’s The Howard Stern Show, April 26.    Trump Actually Benefiting From “Two-Tiered System of Justice”  “[Trump] is part of a two-tiered system of justice but not in the way he thinks he is. He is getting way more concessions than the average criminal defendant would get. He’s getting delays, he’s got access to all kinds of lawyers that are filing this and filing that, delaying every trial, and most people don’t have access to that kind of lawyering, don’t have access to the kind of concessions that the justice system will provide to you if you can afford it.”— Musician/actor John Legend on MSNBC’s Inside with Jen Psaki, April 15.

There Will Be A Surge In Audits, According To The IRS

By: Sharika Soal — May 4th 2024 at 09:30
IRS/CBS News

Due to the Biden administration’s significant funding boost, the Internal Revenue Service plans to dramatically increase audit procedures for big corporations, partnerships, and multimillionaires over the next three years.

In a recent press release, the IRS said it aims to nearly triple its audit rate to 22.6% for corporations with upwards of $250 million worth of assets in the 2026 tax year.

Audits in 2019 were 8.8%, a steep decrease over the 9.0% in 2018.

The New York Post reports,

For complex partnerships with assets topping $10 million, the IRS said it intends to increase audit rates nearly 10-fold, to 1% in tax year 2026 — up from 0.1% in 2019.

The IRS also said it is targeting a 50% increase in audit rates for individuals with a total positive annual income exceeding $10 million.

By the 2026 tax year, 16.5% of these wealthy individuals will be subject to an audit — up from 11% in 2019.

Why did I leave the IRS? In 2017, they took away my stack of rich person audits and gave me a stack of poor people audits. I couldn’t stomach auditing poor people. My health collapsed. I tried to keep going, but finally after weekly hospital visits I quit. #taxtwitter

In a blatant display of leftist pandering, the IRS has shamelessly revealed that it won’t dare to hike up audit rates for hardworking individuals and small businesses making under $400,000. While it sounds nice, this plan fits right in with President Biden’s socialist agenda of coddling the masses and punishing achievement. It’s just another step towards the destruction of our economy and the disintegration of Christian values.

The federal agency was bolstered by $80 billion in new funding directed by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which Biden signed into law in 2022.

When the IRS conducts an audit, individuals or heads of businesses must meet with an auditor, who then reviews that a federal tax return was filed correctly. The official may ask for additional documentation to support the claims like reductions and credits cited in the return.

If there’s discrepancies, consequences can include tax evasion charges, which carry a civil fraud penalty of 75% of the understated tax and in the worst cases, the possibility of jail time.

The forthcoming changes were outlined as part of the IRS’s update on its so-called “strategic operating plan” in funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, which vowed to modernize the IRS’s antiquated computer systems, improve taxpayer services and ramp up enforcement to close the “tax gap” between taxes owed and those collected.

According to the IRS, a total of $7.25 billion will be spent from these funds in fiscal 2024, up from $3.4 billion last year.

“The changes outlined in this report are a stark contrast to the years of under-funding that deteriorated taxpayer service and tax enforcement, frustrating taxpayers, the tax community and IRS employees alike,” IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said in a statement.

With Inflation Reduction Act funds, the IRS hired 13,661 employees in fiscal 2023, including 10,518 taxpayer services employees and 495 enforcement personnel.

The number of hires is expected to increase to 16,314 in fiscal 2024, including 4,088 enforcement personnel.

RIP LONDON: Leftist Sadiq Khan Wins Third Term as Mayor, Defeats Pro-Trump Opponent By 10 Points

By: Ben Kew — May 4th 2024 at 09:15

London’s leftist Mayor Sadiq Khan has won a third term in office, according to exit polls.

Khan, who is known for his ties to Islamism and far-left rhetoric, defeated his Conservative rival Susan Hall by a comfortable margin.

The Financial Times reports:

Labour has claimed victory in the London mayoral contest with Sadiq Khan set to comfortably win a third term in office, adding to the electoral gloom hanging over Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives.

Early results from different parts of the capital suggested that Khan had comfortably seen off a challenge from his Tory rival Susan Hall, in spite of rumours the contest could be tight. With counting complete in four out of 14 areas at 2pm, Khan had secured 52 per cent of the vote compared with Hall’s 24 per cent, prompting Labour to claim victory.

There had been speculation that Hall could pull off a shock win in the contest after figures showed that voter turnout was higher in the capital’s outer boroughs, where Tory support is strongest.

The results are another bitter blow to those who love the city of London, which has been effectively ruined by mass immigration, high levels of crime and astronomical prices.

Unlike most in the British Conservative Party, Tory candidate Susan Hall was a supporter of President Donald Trump and openly admired the controversial politician Enoch Powell.

Khan, meanwhile, has repeatedly attacked Trump since he first ran for office in 2015. Just this week, Khan responded to Trump’s comments that London is now “unrecognizable” under his leadership.

“Today is an opportunity to show Donald Trump and my Tory opponent that London will always choose hope over fear and unity over division,” he said this week.

“I’m happy to meet President Trump and to explain to him, in a respectful, courteous manner where I think he’s wrong on a number of issues, to hear him out, see what his explanation is for holding me responsible for the attacks we saw in London last year,” he later told HuffPost.

Americans Want Congress to Act on Border Security. Will They?

By: Guest Contributor — May 4th 2024 at 09:00

If the majority of Americans agree on something, you may want to pause and learn more. If almost 90% of Americans agree, that’s a gamechanger. When it comes to border security and immigration, Americans are much more united than you might think.

A new poll commissioned by Americans for Prosperity, where I’m an advisor on border security, reveals 87% of Americans say they would like to see immigration policy that:

  1. Secures our borders and ports,
  2. Increases American competitiveness within the global economy,
  3. Establishes clear and predictable rules for our immigration system, and,
  4. Increases the transparency and accountability in our enforcement processes.

As a former border patrol agent with over 27 years of service under my belt, I believe in each and every one of these reforms, and know that without them, our southern border will continue to be in a state of crisis.

In nearly three decades of service, I’ve never seen Americans so concerned about their border. And there’s a reason why. Since President Biden took office, over 8 million people illegally crossed the southern border, creating an unprecedented crisis for the country.

Immigration reform isn’t a Republican or Democrat issue. It’s an American issue. Clearly Americans from all points of the political spectrum are fed up with the status quo and ready for meaningful reforms. Over 80% are pessimistic about the security of our southern border. Yet, like me, they are fairly optimistic about the options available to turn things around.

According to the poll, Americans nearly universally support improving inspections at ports of entry, increasing screenings of the guardians of young migrants, and improving Border Patrol agents’ working conditions. The poll also found specific legislation, like making it easier for foreign doctors who studied in the U.S. to stay in the U.S., garners 90% support from all Americans.

While these actions may seem more obviously nonpartisan, actions to secure the southern border aren’t partisan either. In the poll, 89% of Americans said they would like to see the U.S. government hire more Border Patrol agents and raise their pay. Additionally, 85% supported hiring civilian personnel to monitor asylum seekers so Border Patrol can focus on securing the border itself. And 90% want to see monthly data on the number of migrants appearing on the Terrorist Screening Database.

Clearly, what the American electorate wants is immigration reform that benefits both American citizens and immigrants coming into the U.S. What’s holding up meaningful immigration reform isn’t a lack of solutions— it’s inaction by Congress and lack of leadership from the White House. President Biden loves to blame everybody but himself for this border crisis. But I remember his 100-day deportation moratorium and cessation of all border wall construction on Day 1 of his presidency. And I also remember the message his actions and rhetoric sent to migrants – come on in, the border is open. It’s no surprise that there were almost 100,000 more apprehensions in March of 2021 than there were in January of that year.

But Congress has also turned a deaf ear to the concerns of their constituents, not only by failing to pass these specific reforms but also by standing idly by as the dysfunctional system helps cartels and smugglers at the expense of everybody else. For example, Congress hasn’t demanded that DHS disclose the number of migrants it has lost track of within the US or that it disclose the number of people who have evaded border patrol (known colloquially as “gotaways”), even though the vast majority of Americans want these statistics publicly shared every month.

If Congress can’t hold the executive branch accountable to reforms that are as basic as sharing monthly data or pass solutions that nearly all Americans can agree on, are they really working for the American electorate?

This new polling reveals what I and others in this space already knew – border security and immigration aren’t nearly as divisive as politicians and the media would have us believe. The majority of Americans are united on securing our borders, reforming immigration rules to be clearer and more predictable, and creating a system that benefits the United States and those who want to come contribute, while removing threats to our security and the rule of law.

We will be a stronger, safer, more prosperous country for having those reforms in place.

It’s high time Congress listens to the American people by securing the border, by being transparent about the crisis, and by making meaningful, lasting reforms to the immigration system.
